I’ve been eating here every week for about 6 months. It has been excellent home-made food. However there has been a change in quality and flavor recently. The refried beans aren’t as flavorful, the carnitas don’t have much flavor, the al pastor(pork) is fatty, and my tortillas had mold on them. My prior 5 stars is moving to 2 stars.

Like Chipotle but, bigger and better burritos. ANDTHEYHAVEWINGS!!! It’s conveniently located right next to campus and you get a good bang for your buck. I would eat their everyday, but there is such thing as too much of a good thing.

Burrito wings = glorious location and qualitatively and quantitatively superior to chipotle. Barbacoa was extremely good as was salsa verde and guac was worth extra. Free water would be nice, but we came back two days later– so good.

Get a burrito, and load it up. You won’t be disappointed. BurritoWings outdoes Chipotle in price, portions, and in my opinion taste. The burritos are a meal on their own and can satisfy even those with the biggest appetites. Any meat is great, just ask the staff for a sample if you’re not sure. Wings are solid too. Open late for the students and night owls in the area too. Staff is super friendly and always make me feel welcome, which is another plus over big chain burrito joints. If you want a quick burrito this is the place to come!

This place is has some of the best food in Mankato. No joke. Real-deal Mexican meats. I can’t believe there’s only one other review here, and that it’s negative! If you haven’t been to Burrito Wings, you’re missing out on a cheaper, better-than-Chipotle local option. Their layout is Chipotle-esque, with the line of ingredients and a build-as-you go setup. No white rice here, if thats your thing. I dont usually get rice at all; I usually go for nachos. The meats are all spectacular, especially the salsa verde pork. They’re very generous on the meats as well which I appreciate. Salsas are better than Chipotle’s — they have a mild pico, but also an extra-hot habanero(one of the few truly spicy offerings in Mankato), a smoky medium, and a chunky mango option, among others. The guac is good too. Never tried their wings. Prices are totally reasonable. A huge tray of nachos with carnitas is seven dollars. A pastor burrito that’ll feed you for two big meals is eight. Don’t usually get drinks there(we do takeout) but they have plenty of Mexican sodas, plus beer and margaritas. And on top of that, their service is awesome. Always friendly, you’re seeing the same workers all the time, and they’re very sweet and personable. AND it’s open til like 2am in the fall and winter. Can’t say enough good about this place — local business, one-of-a-kind, consistently tasty, generously portioned, and reasonably priced.

A friend told us this place was like Chipolte only thing the burritos were much bigger. They were bigger. They were also completely devoid of any flavor whatsoever. Three of us attended and all ordered separate things and the running theme was consistent. Flavorless. They also wanted me to pay for water. Food wasn’t exactly cheap either. The atmosphere of the place was something akin to post apocalyptic. The floors were in tough shape and the place just looked unkept and run down.
