When you walk in the door and no one helps you, and you ask others in party if we should go somewhere else, that is your first clue. Mistake #1. You stayed. After 15 minutes they seat you, 15 min. later someone comes and takes a drink order, 15 minutes later, drinks arrive. Poorly managed, food was unacceptable. Finally, after 2 hours we get our bill and waitress asks if everything is alright! Well, no, chicken was hard as a board. Salmon was farm raised, after we asked if it was Atlantic or Alaskan. Waitress sends owner out. He could tell we were unhappy. He was nice enough to comp our meals. Definitely need better management. Can’t believe we didn’t check Unilocal first! However it was a tastefully decorated restaurant with pleasant personnel.

Awful service and the food was under cooked (chicken). No apologies and didn’t take it off the bill. People who like this place are delusional. I will never be back.

Wow, what a mismanaged eating hole. Can a person trust a place that knowingly serves an undercooked meal? After a 42 minute wait, the managers solution for the long delay was, «Ok, you get it raw.» What a response and violation to a state health rules on properly prepared food.

My partner and I went here for dinner for our anniversey and were blown away at the experience! from the apps to dessert everything was top notch! homemade soups and dinner rolls to start then partner had Walleye (beer battered) and I had Beef Wellington which was done perfectly! then they had a dessert selection brought out to us and we ordered mango/​strawberry cheesecake (OMG) and chocolate tuxedo cake which was wonderful… I also had a key lime pie martini which was heavenly! and the service was wonderful! even restrooms were spotless! WE WILL DEFINTELY BE COMING BACK HERE AGAIN!

Worst service in Mankato. We had a reservation and didn’t get in till an hour after our reservation time and then it took an hour to get menus and another hour and a half for food. Management is not willing to help out or take blame for poor service. I will never be back there again.

From the bread, to the salad & then the NY strip sizzler — perfection! When we ever get back to Mankato, this will be where we dine. The waitress was top-​notch!

Wonderful place to eat, great menu selection, and an amazing staff. You always feel welcome at Charley’s and it is a number one choice in Mankato for going out for a nice dinner. The bar/​lounge area is also really nice and relaxed and perfect to have a few drinks.

Best restaurant in Mankato. I went here regularly when I was in college and it’s only gotten better. For desert, go with the grasshopper.
