This review is for the JC Penney Salon
When I moved to Mankato I was looking for a salon and I asked some people for recommendations and was given VERY bad advice. Then, I took my best friend’s advice — when going to a JC Penney salon, ask for the person who is the most popular/​has the most training. I stumbled across the fact that this Penney’s has a salon, and called and made an appointment with Patrick — I haven’t gone to anyone else since!
Patrick is a fun, yet consummate professional. I have at times said «I’m bored and want to get highlights… you pick colors.» and knew I could trust him to make decisions based on my personality and my style that I would love (and I’m always right). He didn’t like me in layers so we got rid of them, though when my hair got super long, I asked for a couple for height and he was nervous I wouldn’t like it — I reassured him, «Patrick, if I don’t like it, I’ll grow it out!» He’s definitely a vivacious and fun person, and my day is always better when I see him, but his personality may not be for some people.
