Eh. Just okay I think. This is your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Nothing special. Food was fine.

Have been to Mazatlan twice and both times the food has been fantastic. Large menu with lots of choices. Salsa and chips are very good. Both times we’ve been here the place has been packed and we’ve had to wait a bit to be seated. Well worth the wait. It is a little on the loud side as the place is quite small for the number of people they seat. Service was excellent and the margaritas amazing. Come hungry as the portions are large and you will go home stuffed. Highly recommended!

Keeping in mind that this is Mexican food in small town Minnesota, it’s surprisingly good. I love their salsa, and I always get the vegetarian C combo. Delicious every time. The service is always top notch, and the atmosphere is typical for a casual Mexican restaurant. By far the best Mexican food in town.

I LOVE Mazatlan. My friends and I go here as often as we can for their Thursday night half-​priced margaritas. The drinks are delicious! The service is great as well. It’s always speedy and the waiters are always nice. There are so many options on their menu and they consistently have new things. I highly recommend the enchiladas el mazatlan, the vegetarian fajitas, and the shrimp tacos.

This is wonderful food that is of a consistent quality every time. Every dish I have had has been delicious. I don’t make a trip to Mankato with out stopping here at least once. It’s amongst the best Mankato has to offer.

Was craving the «Real Deal» after a recent dismal attempt at trying to get a local competitor to deliver & Mazatlan hits another Grand Slam! DELICIOUS margaritas & chips/​salsa at our table within 5 minutes of being seated… followed by the best fajitas around… Viva Mazatlan!

Great service! Karina was awesome getting what we needed even before we had to ask. Food was very good definitely authentic. Portions were plentiful with good quality. My wife ordered the seafood chimichanga and had huge shrimp.
We will definitely be back next time in town.

I live in Phoenix with Mexican restaurants on every block. This place was really impressive.
I definitely recommend a visit here!

I went with my fiancée, children, and a friend. The service we received was awful. Myself and children are darker toned and got our food promptly; however my fiancée with red hair and our friend who is blonde had to wait another 15 minutes for their food and drinks. Another issue was our waiter, every thing he said to us ended in the word man. Ex. Yea sure I get you a soda man. This was a bad experience for us and we will NEVER return.

Carnitas & Grand Burrito-​FABULOUS. If you are looking for tasty Mexican look no further! This place will having you coming back for more. It’s always a full house so order take out and it’s always warm and ready

Mazatlan has the BEST salsa! Honestly, I have been to a lot of Mexican places and eaten my fair share of chips and salsa. Mazatlan wins hands down on the salsa front. It’s not super spicy, but it’s full of flavor and made me happy.
I also really loved the guacamole — it’s creamy and delicious.
I ordered a margarita on the rocks and it was tasty! Pretty much a basic margarita.
I ordered the Pollo Norteño and holy buckets it was amazing and one of the best things I’ve ever eaten at a Mexican restaurant! It was two chicken breasts, served on a cast iron skillet thingy, with pineapple slices, half an onion, cherries and this amazing sauce. Seriously, it was very impressive looking! But it also had impressive taste.
The boy got tacos and he really enjoyed them. However, he did comment that they were just basic tacos. We will totally go back to Mazatlan if we’re in the area.

Holy crap! Good Mexican in the North? Apparently so…
I brought my whole cross country road trip crew to this highly Unilocal recommended Mexican joint. We stopped in on a weekday night and ran into a huge wait at the door. The locals (Monkatoins?) really filled this place up, but it was worth the wait.
We ordered a wide variety of menu items from a bunch of different menu categories. All of it was as good or better than your average neighborhood mexican restaurant in Southern Cal, which is saying something! Being from the East Coast, I’ve come to expect a pretty low grade of US Mexican food outside of the Southwestern states.
Mazatlan kicks ass!!!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Mankato. I’ve been working my way through the menu trying something new each visit. Tonight was the tacos de carne asada. It was really good, in fact the meat here is always high quality.
My recommendation is for the steak poblano– by far one of the very best meals I’ve had. Also, the chips and salsa are wonderful and you can buy salsa to take home, the large was $ 4 and well worth it.
The service is top notch and the servers all work together as a team. My drinks never run dry and the staff are all very attentive.

Stopped in Monday night with friends. WOW… holy HUGE margarita! We all ordered the 27 oz ones… I was the only one that had a Frozen one… WOW…definitely tequila in it! I ordered the #1 combination plate, will chicken & rice. WOW, tasty! And filling! I think I brought about half or so home… damn the chips & salsa! :) Liked the atmosphere; chairs, colors & such. OH YEAH… AND for my huge margarita and meal…$ 15 and change!!! Fantastic prices! We all enjoyed our food, margaritas & the service! Definitely coming back!!!

Good food, good service. I actually got more than I expected from this place! I’ve been looking for a Restaurant with great Mexican food and this place is at the top of my list so far! I just wish I would o saved room dessert… Next time desserts and drinks are a must.

Great margaritas and great chips and salsa. That’s where it ends unfortunately. I have tried several dishes there, including a plain cheese quesadilla, and I was disappointed every time. How do you mess up a cheese quesadilla you make ask? Well when you leave cheese in a non-​airtight container in a dirty fridge, the cheese absorbs the smell of the fridge and it affects the taste. So my quesadilla tasted like the refrigerator. The food needs improvement but it’s a nice place to go on a sunny evening to sit on the patio and have margaritas and chips and salsa with some friends.

Moved to california recently and I miss this place so much. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. Delicious salsa, strong margaritas and the mocajete lava bowl is incredible!

Best Mexican place in town! Portions are great and the service is great. I always get the single order of the Texas fajitas and it easily feeds two. The margaritas are huge and not very expensive.

Visiting from San Diego and needed some Mexican. Trusted fellow Unilocalers, went here. Good food. Skip the guacamole if you want authentic. Salsa is very mild, but easier was helpful in offering spicy (and delicious) alternatives.

I generally do not go for Mexican food, but I would happily go back to Mazatlan! The decorations were so fun inside, and it looked like the drinks were a really good value.
I has a steak dish with cheese, shrimp and potatoes and the sauce was fantastic! My boyfriend had a burrito the size of the plate. The lettuce tasted a little funky, but that was the only complaint we had.
