The carnitas and salsas have good flavor the chicharron was kind of cold and dry. I would need to take it home and reheat to see if any good. The service was the turn off. The ladies look upset and not polite at all. CUSTOMERSERVICE is a must to run a business

First time here and tried a carnitas torta! It was very good! Nothing special just carnitas, beans, lettuce, jalapeño and avocado! I will be back!

Very small, plain, sparsely-decorated«food-counter» type of place. There is no menu and folks who aren’t too familiar with this type of food(like me) will feel kind of clueless when they walk in. From my experience on a Saturday lunch, you have 2 options — pork(carnitas) or beef. They serve it in a soft corn taco(2 tortillas) and you get a side of pickled carrots/jalapeño and a dish of pico. I felt that my lack of knowing Spanish had me at a handicap and no effort was made by the staff to explain anything. I got the feeling like I was expected to know what everything was and how to order it. A turn-off for sure. There’s squeeze bottles of red and green salsa on the table but nothing that describes what they were. The portions were Huge as far as the amount of meat in each portion and the meat was hot and delicious. They have a nice selection of Mexican sodas which I prefer over the American counterparts due to the basic formulas used. While eating my lovely pockets of meat we observed a few customers coming in to get meat sold«by-the-pound» so this appears to be a large part of the business. Service was blank, non-smiling and to-the-point. No sugar coating here folks. Price-wise it was a great deal for the amount you get. 4 tacos, 1 soda and 1 bottled water was around 12 bucks. Bottom line — if you know what you want and how to order it… highly recommended. If not, call up a Spanish-speaking friend and send them down. It’s worth it

This is REAL Mexican food. No «queso», no chili con carne. Just some of the best carnitas, barbacoa and chicharrones in Tarrant County. I usually get carnitas tacos. With that you’ll be offered a side of veggies — a mixture of potatoes, onions, and more — and a variety of several salsas. The smokey red, which is actually made from green tomatillos and red ancho chilis, is my favorite. The shop is small, well lit with little atmosphere but the owners, Luis and Eva, are very welcoming.

Jackpot! Yes! Found a REAL Mexican place not too far from home! This has been a 6 month search and I’m happy to say I found it :) Yummy tacos and OUTSTANDING salsas… just like in Mexico. If you think Mexican food is Taco Bell or On the Border, PLEASE try this. The green sauce with avocado is awesome and just spicy enough but definitely the spicier of the two. The other duller green looking salsa is delicious but mild. The smoky red sauce is great and blows away the stuff at the big«Mexican» chains, even the other family places. All their salsas are for sale and I will be getting my party/holiday salsas will come from here from now on. They also sell tortillas by the pound, chips, tostadas and entire family packs. Everything you would need for a nice meal or party. It helps if you speak a little Spanish but if not I’ve heard they are very helpful just pointing or saying what you want. If you’re a Dublin Dr. Pepper aficionado you’ll certainly appreciate a Jarrito Mexican soft drink with 100% natural sugar. Good stuff. And last but certainly not least, if you like pork rinds you will LOVE a REAL chicharron!!! So so good. Enjoy!!!
