My family and I love Longhorn Steakhouse but not Mansfield. Had one miserable experience, slow service, undercooked food, uncaring attitudes, no managers in sight with a bunch of kids«running» the place. I hesitated before writing this because everyone can have a bad day but went back a couple of weeks later and it was even worse. From then on we’ve frequented the Pembroke location with great results.

Food was average. They should consider a 2nd bartender Sunday nights as she was VERY swamped and allover the place trying to service her full bar of diners as well as drinks for the waiters. Overall average — won’t rush back.

I haven’t been to this location in quite a while but it seems to have really gone downhill since then. Longhorn is one of my dad’s favorite chain restaurants so we chose to go here to celebrate his birthday. Right off the bat, without being asked, one of our two servers informed us that she would prefer if we didn’t get separate checks(there were 11 of us) because it would be easier for her. That’s not exactly what you want to hear but we were okay with it. The appetizers took a significant amount of time to come out and the food took even longer. My 1.5 year old nephew was getting a bit cranky and my dad politely asked if there was any way that his french fries could be brought out to hold him over. He was bluntly informed that he didn’t have just french fries coming but that he was getting fries AND steak and that it would be out with the rest of the food. After that interesting exchange, the fries were immediately brought out, much to our surprise. They forgot to bring my uncle his salad and he didn’t get it until he asked about it almost ten minutes after we all got ours, they forgot to bring my girlfriend one of her sides, they gave my sister the incorrect sides and my dad had to ask them to reheat his meal because it came out cold. Good stuff. Despite all of these hiccups, the food was actually pretty good but the fun didn’t end there… As it was my dad’s birthday, one of the servers asked me if I wanted them to bring him a free dessert and sing for him. I happily said yes. A few minutes later, the server returned to tell me that they were out of free deserts. They apparently were also out of birthday songs because they didn’t bother singing for him either. The bill was brought out and, upon seeing us working to figure out how much we all owed, the second sever asked us why we didn’t get separate checks. She must’ve missed it when her counterpart told us that we couldn’t. We thought we figured everything out and threw down two cards and some cash. A few minutes later one of the servers returns, drops the remaining cash in front of my dad, the birthday boy, and says, «So, we’re supposed to split THIS between the two of us?» In our confusion while examining the large unseparated bill, we had only left ~15% for tip instead of the intended 20%. While 15% is low, I hardly think it warrants a face to face confrontation with the customer about how cheap they’re being. Frankly, I was offended and surprised by her lack of tact. We gave the undeserving servers some additional cash and left the restaurant, never to return again. Happy Birthday, Dad!

Long wait for a table but it was Friday night. Ate with my husband and another couple. Everything was fantastic… filet, sirloin, shrimp and generous sides. We usually hate chain restaurants but the food here was fresh. Will definitely go back.

I cannot believe how much this place has went downhill in the last few months. this used to be my families favorite restaurant but it is constant long waits for food and bar drinks.(once was 10 minutes, once was 15, on 2 seperate days!) the waitresses are all very accommodating but they need new management and bartenders. we wont be back here, we will make the trip to another location. its sad to see.

This trip was a meal disaster for this location. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time. The server was very friendly. But the kitchen was very slow once again. Once the kitchen finally served our meals, they were actually overcooked AND cold. There is no excuse for this after waiting 1:15 hours for the food to arrive. Interestingly, the appetizer came right on time. So I don’t understand why the main entrees took that long. The entrees were not difficult… 3 mac and cheeses, one salmon and a tilapia. I’m not sure where the difficulty there was. The salmon didn’t come with the vegetables either. But at that point, it was a fruitless discussion. Again, this scene was not the first time. We let the first time slide; this second one not.

One of my go to restaurants while traveling, this chain is usually pretty consistent across the country. This was no exception. Seated quickly, friendly hostess. Restaurant was clean, same layout as most of the Longhorn’s I have been to. The waiter took my drink order very quickly and had my water out almost immediately. I started my meal with one of their appetizers for one. These little appetizers are quite good if you are dining alone. I had the Jalapeño poppers, which were quite good. It came with 3 poppers, each standing upright in a little shot glass with a small amount of their dipping sauce for each one in the glass. For my main course I took a chance and went with the Four Cheese pasta with shrimp and crab. This was way out of my comfort zone for Longhorn’s, but I was pleasantly surprised. The portion was massive, definitely a main entrée that could be split with someone. The shrimp were small but plentiful and tasty. The lobster was the most surprising thing, big pieces of claw meat, and very flavorful. The cheese mixture was good, and the pasta was a mix of small macaroni and rotini noodles. A nice crisp parmesan crust on top finished it off. I was very satisfied with this dish. I also had a large side of steamed asparagus, which was very good. Service was friendly but not intrusive, my drink was never empty, and I left a satisfied customer.

I am so pleased with this place. From the hostess at the door to the servers and management, they know what they are doing. There was one visit where our steaks were over-cooked a lot. The server promptly noticed and took them back and we got new steaks cooked to perfection. They are always pleased to see us and are excited to see us returning. I’m so glad they are great at what they do. They deserve better than 3 stars in my opinion. Update 1−2−16: Continues to be a great place to eat. I do have a couple observations: — need more staff to clean tables — the call-ahead seating timeframe needs to be improved. We would call ahead 20 minutes and told we would be seated on arrival. We arrive and told to wait another 10 – 15 minutes. — some of the servers need to brush up on what is on the menu as well as what a steak should look like when cooked. The last server we had was completely out in left field in terms of meat selection and size. We ended up correcting her because we enjoy the same dishes each time we go. — the men’s bathroom needs some TLC. There have been numerous times that it has smelled worse than a sewer drain. Not a good thing to have a disgusting restroom. The staff in general continues to be nice and respectful. A lot of them know us by first name now. Great to hear that! :-)

Great service and perfectly cooked food. My filet was delicious, the wait staff was very sweet, and I got my dinner fairly quick considering the place was packed. I had already decided I wanted to come back when I heard the staff calling customers by name. Keep up the good work! Oh, and please don’t change your steak sauce recipe!!!

Just went last night 2.5 stars is a generous rating. The steak was cooked nicely but the steak sauce that they make at the table came when we were ¾ done with our steak. To top it all off the salads came after we were already done with the steak. Decent food but Horrible service. Won’t go back.

Our meal here was good, but the food took forever. Everyone around us, some sat 15 minutes after us, got their food first. It took almost 40 minutes to get our meals. Part of the meals were cold, parts were scalding so they must have been waiting on parts of it and let the stuff they prepared first sit and wait for it. We won’t be going back. There are enough options in the area to skip this one

Decided to go to the Longhorn for dinner. Walked into no wait which was great. Our server Megan came over pretty quickly and took our drink order. My boyfriend ordered a bottle of beer, waitress asked if he wanted a glass and he replied with no. I then order just a coca cola and we passed on apps. She then again asked if he wanted a glass, and replied again no. She returned with our drinks, his beer and a water with lemon for me. I replied that I ordered a soda and she apologized and then brought the soda a few minutes later. She then returned for take our order. My boyfriend ordered ribs and I ordered Steak with side of salad, asking for no onions. She returns a few minutes later with the salads and I had onion on mine. She offered to go get another one, but I just picked them off so i could start eating it. Salads are a good portion! Good thing I didn’t wait for a new salad because while still eating our salads, our food was out. Now, I am happy we didn’t have to wait an hour for food, but we were still eating our salads, so we felt rushed. She placed the wrong plate in front of the wrong person, because she couldn’t remembered who had ordered what. The restaurant was not busy and I only saw her waiting on us and another table. My Renegade steak was ok, not great, not a lot of flavor, but ok. My side of mac and cheese however was fabulous!!! My boyfriend ordered the full rack of ribs, but he received a half rack and then two cuts of another rack, so not really a full rack of ribs. He did say the half rack that was together were delicious, the other cuts were ok. For $ 20.99 for ribs, we should get the full rack, not really piece mailed together to make a full rack. Megan was extremely nice, but didn’t seem to remember anything we had ordered. Was constantly apologizing for mistakes. Now from what I remember the manager usually comes around to ask about everything, however we never saw anyone but the server. Think we will only go back if we received a gift card, not really by choice.

Went here Wednesday night with my boyfriend. The place seemed kind of busy but our server, Tracy, was attentive and funny. The food was great and came out quickly. My steak was a little on the rare side for medium rare but still delicious. We have been to other longhorn locations but it was our first time here. We will be back thanks to the great service.

I’ve eaten at this location a few times, but mostly when I order I get takeout! The food has never been a disappointment to me. My favorite meal in the world comes from here, and it’s the grilled chicken caesar salad with their bread and butter! **You can get this salad all day even though it’s not on the dinner menu. They have the BEST caesar dressing hands down. The times I do eat inside, the staff has always been very friendly and never had a bad experience here.
