Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A family run mom and pop store just like the ones we had before big box stores took over. There’s always someone there to help you. This is my first stop when I need something and very rarely do I need to stop els where. I highly recommend you stop here before you go any where.

Friendly, helpful service, well stocked shelves for basically any common household project, and reasonable prices. Literally everything you need in a hardware store, waiting for you on Main Street! I love it.

This is a great store, and a nice alternative to the big box around the corner. There is always someone there to talk about a project and offer a suggestion. Even though its a small store, its well-stocked. They always seem to have what I need. My only problem is that they close at 5:30 during the week and are closed on Sunday, so I can rarely get there when they are open.

Walking into this store always generates a memory. We had a similar hardware store in the town I grew up in and would tag along with my dad when he had to go there. Truthfully, in my eleven years in Mansfield I have not had to visit them too often, but when I have they always got what I need. They are patient with me and my questions, and I always appreciate their advice. I worried about them when the evil Home Depot came to town, but they seem to be doing ok. If you were to go see them I’m sure they would be able to help with just about any project you are working on, and in turn you’ll be helping out this old school hardware store as well.

I live up the street and usually go here instead of home depot for smaller purchases and personal service from the friendly staff. They usually have what i’m looking for. prices arent cheap but thats to be expected from a small hardware store.

Hail the True Value Hardware guy, for he doth know his stuff, for he is the Keymaster. Yes, though I walked the magnificent aisles of the Category Killers, I departed them unfulfilled in the quest for The Key Which Fits My Bike Lock And Is Like No Other Key On The Face Of The Earth. Behold the wizened visage of Ye Semi-Retired Part-Timer, manning his post deep within aisle 10 of the Home Depot Fortress. «They just don’t let us have a whole lot of blanks». Contrast mightily with Behemoth Lowe’s, where blank is the expression, and no help whatsoever is the answer, formed by a shrug. At last, to True Value Hardware. True Value Hardware guy looks quizzically at The Key Which Fits My Bike Lock And Is Like No Other Key On The Face Of The Earth. Chin in hand, thoughtful, «Hmm.» “We don’t have a blank for that. I’m pretty sure I can cut another one down and trim it a little…“ Grinding wheel spins, sparks fly and: «Here, try this. Come back and pay for it if it works.» Hail the Keymaster!
