Outback Steakhouse

I did take out tonight. At the Outback near my house tonight. One of the worse take away experiences and I won’t do it again. Crispy chicken Cobb for my husband and fish tacos for me. I was told it would be ready at 6:58 pm and got there ~5 min early. 30 min later it finally came out and it was cold. The fish as well as the chicken on the salad. The tacos literally looked as though they had been haphazardly tossed in to the styrofoam container. I showed the gal who’d finally brought out the food, had her wait while I checked and expressed my displeasure. She said she’d get a manager — I waited 5 min and finally left –at that point I wouldn’t have been effective talking with the manager so decided to post something. Went home to eat and planned on returning for the conversation. I don’t normally behave in a passive/​aggressive manner but we had driven 500 miles to come home to Mansfield and we were just plain tired! wont be eating there again !!

Had dinner there last night sirloin steak med-​rare
With lobster tail nice and hot took a bite of my steak & new immediately it did not taste right our waitress came over asked how everything tasted
I explained to her that it had a chemical taste to it she apologized & had the cook prepare another one. By this time the manager Tiffany came over and apologized and asked if I would like another baked potato I said no thank you but if you could substitute it for another lobster tail, I was kidding
When they brought my plate out with a new steak it also had another lobster tail how great was that

My husband is a musician and that means a lot of road trips. No problem for me because as a faithful, dutiful wife ;) my husband promises a nice dinner on our return trip. You don’t have to tell me twice :). Anyway, when he wants a nice steak Outback is the choice of steakhouses along our route. This particular location is very nice. We always have the full of attention of the staff because we are there early afternoon. They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their menu. The one issue I do have with this location is the GPS direction from the 30W :)
But their signage is good and it easy to make your way :)
The parking is plentiful, but remember we are there early noon. The food is good. Can anyone say bread lover? Yes, yes and yes. Since it’s just the two of us we do not order the ‘Blooming Onion’.
My husband ordered a 6 oz sirloin $ 11.99 and I ordered the Steakhouse salad $ 12.99. Yummy! I would return again, and I would recommend this location.

Had a fantastic night. I had ribs and my date got endless shrimp. We sat at the bartender was really cool and conversed with us. Fruity drinks were very tasty.

First time, last time. Food was not al all good and the croutons on the salad tastes like they were reused from the previous day. My last trip.

I went there for dinner with a friend. We sat in a booth in the bar section. I had a Frozen Strawberry Rita which was spot on fabulous! We ordered their breaded mushrooms as an appetizer — they were overcooked and dry, not to mention visually unappealing. My salad that came with my dinner was perfect as was my friend’s salad. The bread that they serve with the salad was stale and cold. My grilled chicken on the Barbie was DRY and tasteless. My friends filet was overcooked. I usually love all my food from this Outback location, but not this time. It was dreadful. Very disappointed and a waste of money. I did get the mushrooms taken off the bill … The rest was a wash. No WIFI.

It’s that time of year, holiday gift cards!
Sowe had some free cash to burn and for a chain Outback is always consistent and pleasant. We went earlier in a Friday night, so no wait. Service was spectacular. Our waiter was in it with the drinks/​refills.
I’m a coconut shrimp addict so I order the appetizer as my main entrée and add a salad (plus eat that damn loaf of bread they bring out to the table). The shrimp was perfect. Food was hot and tasty, no complaints!
Upon the end of our meal, our awesome waiter gave us to-​go drinks, and in the big cups vs. the tiny kiddy cups they usually give you.
Overall, good time and good food.

What a horrific experience it was really disappointing I have been to outback before but this was just really poor experience… Everything from the food to service! I was here with my sister and her boyfriend and none of our food was even warm and none of us were satisfied with the taste … My sandwich was awful… Barely dressed with a little piece of lettuce and plain buns with a laughable piece of chicken that made up ¹⁄₃ of the whole bread of a sandwich… My sisters boyfriends steak was burnt but somehow wasn’t even hot… It’s like the food was ready but it just sat there for the longest time while the waiters just stand there staring into space… I mean it was real nice a manager came to ask us about how everything was but I didn’t want to be a bother and tell him how awful everything was so I said… «FINe» as I had a twisted face trying to swallow down my dry breadwhich but yeah everything was just blah… :/​sorry. What a waste of money! Not worth it at all.

My wife and I were at this restaurant on Friday, 02/​22/​2013 at approximately 6:00p.m. The restaurant was very busy. And even so, we were seated and eating within 15 minutes and well within the 20 minute wait we were quoted.
While waiting, we were offered a beverage and some blooming onion and a menu. By the time we reached our table, we were ready to order and did so.
Our server was named Brooklyn and she was quite the professional! We really enjoyed her. She suggested menu items, was friendly, cheerful and treated us very well.
Brooklyn offered a variety of mixed drinks. We declined. My wife asked about a cherry Coke and Brooklyn told her that they put Grenadine in Coke if that was okay. My wife declined saying it was usually too sweet. When Brooklyn returned with our beverages of choice, she brought a cherry Coke with her and offered it to my wife free of charge just to try it. Remarkable.
Our meals were served quickly, at the correct temperature and cooked to perfection. They were delicious and excellent in appearance, presentation, and taste.
Brooklyn checked back with us for what we felt were the correct number of times. The owner also stopped at our table twice to inquire about our meal. After clearing away our dinner dishes, Brooklyn offered desert and unfortunately, we ordered one to share. Unfortunate only in so far as it was delicious and really filled our already full stomachs.
We will definitely return to this restaurant and we highly recommend it.

I think one bloomin’ onion would be enough to satisfy the entire restaurant full of guests, and the steak always is prepared more rare than you would expect (take heed of what they consider medium, your server can guide you.) That said this is one of the classiest snazziest joints in town right up there with olive garden and red lobster. It’s a great place to take a prom date or get engaged with a mall jewelry store ring. Welcome to the midwest. they’ll keep bringing you that pumpernickel loaf until you explode.
