The Famous Coney Island

While out in Mansfield, I decided to try some where new for lunch and was in the mood for a good burger so I stopped by to see what they had. Old school burger bar atmosphere with some great employees. It’s an average sized diner but steady business while I was there.
I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries for a quick lunch. Food didn’t take long which was great because I was in a hurry. Burger was great, warm and juicy, you could tell it was fresh off the grill. Overall it was delicious and a great time. I plan on returning to try out their breakfast menu!

Great atmosphere… breakfast served all day was a bonus. Only thing I didn’t like was the skinny short haired lady with glasses… looked kinda like big bird.jk.lol She was bitchy. Almost like she didn’t want to be a waitress at a diner. Ya know the kind?
Anyway…loved the place. My eggs were cooked perfect. And the price was cheap.

I had not been to Mansfield in quite some time so I didn’t know this little gem was tucked into their downtown area. I dragged my super understanding boyfriend to the carousel, because who doesn’t love riding around in circles to creepy organ music? RIGHT?!? Well, we were hungry after our many spins around the carousel, and decided to wander around for a bit. There is an awesome little art place on the corner, which I need to add to Unilocal actually… glad I just reminded myself. and The Famous Coney Island sign reached out to us like a bright beacon on a dark night.
We wandered over and were excited to see that it was like an old timey dive. This place has been here for years, and it is incredibly nostalgic! The prices were great and the food was equally tasty. I will drive the 3 hours to get back up there just to have some of the fantastic sounding ice cream creations they offer! NOM! If you’re running around near there, and you like being whisked away to simpler times, get in here and enjoy yourself!
