Ying Cafe

I’ve tried to order from them on four occasions now, and all four times have been put on hold without anyone coming back to the line. I have given them 7 – 10 minutes before hanging up and going to another place.
I really want to try the food so I gave them plenty of opportunities. I’ve been thinking that their food is so good they are busy, but after four tries with this type of service I have to conclude they do not value their customers… it’s pointless to try any more.

Love this place. Service is always fast and the food comes out hot and tasty. You can’t beat their lunch specials. If you eat in you get soup too. Their egg drop soup is really good and it doesn’t taste real salty like a lot of other restaurants. I’ve been coming here for 7 years and I will keep coming back!

As always delicious! For the low price of $ 5.95 for lunch you won’t be able to beat it! Great food, nice staff, great time!

This place has an amazing dine-​in lunch special. I love it. You recieve more than enough for the price you pay. With your main dish and a side of rice you also get soup, chicken wing and mei fun noodles. The food is not the best but it’s pretty decent. That’s why they get a star from me. Now the customer service is terrible. It’s one rude waitress for the whole restaurant and a disgruntled owner. I tried to get my lunch special take out so I wouldn’t have to deal with them. Now the soup and noodles are only complimentary dine in. So I told them I would pay extra to get both and they told me I couldn’t get the noodle bc they weren’t on the menu only for dine in? So I cancelled my order. Really? I was willing to pay extra? I’m torn between the good price/​food and the horrible service…

If Unilocal allowed for a zero rating I would give this place a 0. Their food is moderately portioned however no one in there seems to be able to speak English. I tried this place about 2 months ago and they bring you a rather odd mix of food. you order any Chinese entre and they bring you a chicken wing on your plate. The chicken wing was dry and crusty and not fresh. The rice tasted like it was reheated from at least 3 days prior. I asked for some hot spicy sauce as they don’t have condiments or anything on the tables and they brought me a jar of some of that red pepper sauce with seeds in it and oil that look like it had been sitting around for weeks without being cleaned. I figured I would try this place again and walked in today and once again no one was speaking English. There was no one in the restaurant at 11:30 a.m. so I asked if they were open or closed? One of the ladies rudely indicated we closed!!! I turned around and walked out and will never be there again. Don’t waste your time at this place it isn’t worth the effort or the money. The entrees are priced rather low at around $ 5 or $ 6 per entrée however, you get what you pay for. I’d rather eat at a Burger King or McDonalds than go to this Chinese restaurant again. Bad business.

Ordered and sat down to wait for the food and saw several roaches crawling across the floor. Even though I wanted to leave, I stayed and waited for the food. The food was brought to the table and looked okay, until I tasted it. Tasted like the meat was sour and rotten. I calmly mentioned this after the first bite and was told «no refunds, no exchanges!» in an almost yelling tone. I said I wasn’t paying for the food as it was obviously bad and the woman said she was going to call the police. Absolutely outrageous. I see that serving disgusting food and then threatening the customer with the police is a common occurrence now that I look at their Facebook page. I’m going to report this to the head of the local police department. This is abuse via the police department and I can’t imagine that they are okay with this.

The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because their dinner menu. For lunch, you get an entrée, rice, rice noodles, an egg roll, a chicken wing, and soup. All for around $ 6. For dinner, you get all of that for $ 10. It’s crazy. Their food is good, though! I always go for lunch there when I’m really hungry. You get a TON of food for what you pay. The food always comes out very fast, too.

Very bad business practices.
An entrée comes with egg drop or hot & sour but this time they were out of both. Since Wonton soup was on the menu and the same price as Hot & Sour I asked for that instead. She said I had to pay for that. If you’re out of the two soups you offer with the entrée at 6:30pm then you should offer a substitution of equal or lesser value at no charge.
Then after I made that request she became rude and ignored us the rest of the time we were there. Very bad customer service. A «take it or leave it attitude.»

The waitress named Anna has told my husbands ex-​wife that we are served slow on purpose. We are «rude». I didn’t realize that smiling and saying please and thank you were rude. Any place that purposely served food slowly to anyone is a bad business owner/​manager in my book. Have warned people that if you somehow rub her wrong or if she is friendly with someone that doesn’t like you, you will be served slowly if you can get refills at all!

This place is fantastic! Friend suggested we go here for lunch today. It was the first time for me and I was blown away. The food was exceptional, portions were perfect and service was excellent!

We eat take-​out from here often enough they know our «regular» order and even know our daughter by name. The food is very good and we always feel at home. The staff are very personable, the prices are reasonable, and the place is maintained well.

Went here the other day for the first time, and this is the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while. The lunch special is a great deal and if you eat in, get the egg drop soup with it! It’s very nice. The portions are nice and very filling, and I definitely wasn’t hungry afterward. I plan to come back soon

Love the food for the price, great that they’ll adjust the spiciness of a dish for you. Usually fresh & hot, convenient delivery.

Me and my family come here all the time. The owner always makes us feel at home and in a way has watched are kids grow! It’s nice to feel like Ying is «our» place.

We ate here today for the first time. Let me just say WE LOVED IT! The food was excellent. The price is right, the portions are HUGE. I had the beef and chicken Hunan combo… Yummy! Son had the orange chicken and hubby had the Mongolian beef. We also had a huge bowl of wonton soup to share. Everything had great favor. The only complaint I have was the services. One server and she was very slow but the food was worth the wait. Will be back!

This is my favorite Chinese food in the area. I love the lunch specials. It is a ton of food for less than a hamburger value meal.

I have been coming here during my lunch break for awhile. Upon entering I was gestured to sit on the other side of the dining area because the booth tables were not cleaned. I have always sat in the booth because it is away from the main dining area so I can bring work with me. The owner rolled her eyes at me as I gestured and said I wanted to sit at the booth.
Really?! Food is okay for Chinese food better than panda BBQ but the owner should really evaluate her mannerism.
I am not at a nail salon where some of that behavior can get tolerated. I am at a restaurant.
I worked at a restaurant for 6 years and understand customer service. All that was asked was a request in seating. That is all.

This is the best place to come for lunch if you’re craving chinese food. They have their lunch special every day (even the weekends) for only $ 5-​ish, which is an amazing deal considering how large their portions are. You also get a soup, eggroll, and chicken wing along with it.
I’ve tried the beef broccoli, seafood delight, hunan, lo mein, and kung pao combination. They are all good… as I’m sure everything else is also.
I’ve been coming here for about 5 years now, and I just now realized I don’t have a review for this place yet. Give this place a try! Just not on Mondays, cause they’re closed

By far the best Chinese food in Mansfield. I love the hostess’s sense of humor too — after determining if they could deliver to my house, she replied «Oh yes, I could walk that». I can highly recommend the Shredded Pork in Ginger Sauce.

We have never had bad service here. Food is always cooked to order and exactly how we want it, lunch specials are the way to go otherwise their dinner can get pricey, but it is a lot of food and you could share one dinner. Not five stars because food is not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. But very good none the less.
