Gavora Studio

Rob is amazing! My daughter wanted her dark brown locks to be changed into vibrant teals and blues. It was a two session process and reasonably priced. Rob is a lot of fun to talk to and makes it an enjoyable experience. I’ve now since had him do my hair and love the look, feel and health of my cut and highlighted hair. I recommend him to anyone looking for a great quality hair stylist.

This is my 3^rd visit to Gavora and each visit gets better and better. I was introduced to the place by one of my friends who has been a loyal client there with beautiful hair every time she gets it done.
When I read the 1 – 3 star reviews, I can’t help but to question them. So here’s my feedback.
while my first visit wasn’t as «bubbly» the cut was right on point! She was friendly, knew what she was doing, was attentive to my requests and answered every single question. I went there for a haircut– and I got a great one. I’ll take that over a great nonstop convo anytime.
Second visit was with rob. I showed him a picture I found on Pinterest… And he responds with «oh that’s my client.» Took out his phone and showed me more pictures of the hair color I chose. YES! Got my ombré, my haircut, fun conversation and walked out with beautiful hair. I received many compliments on my new do.
Third visit was with rob. I walked in with not so great hair and as I shared my concerns, he responded with «don’t worry… I can fix it!» To make a long story short– he fixed it and then some. Pictures speak for themselves, so I’ll be posting the pic for proof. Great conversation, and most importantly– beautiful hair once again with some more advice on how to better take care of it. And, I’m returning for some caramel color highlights.
Long review, but you get my point. Eh. prices are a bit on the above average for the area, but they do a great job!

I have to say I am sooo extremely happy with my appointment with RAY. I had a picture of what style I was interested in, She listened and understood what I wanted gave her advice and experience and I Love Love Love it

Walked into gavora to buy shampoo, first time in there, looked around and no one acknowledged me or asked me if I needed help. Poor customer service. Two ladies in there cutting hair, they could have at least said hello. First and last time I go there

I love this place! Vadre is superb! I have never been this happy with color and style with anyone. She is up to date on all the latest. So worth every penny!

I have been informed that Gavora Studio has a new owner and Gina no longer is there. I have been invited back. I do have my own hairdresser now, thank you for the invite however. I will give 3 stars for them reaching out to me.

Love Gavora. I went to several Salons when I first moved here from the Bay Area before finding this one. I have had appts with many of the staff and they are all equally talented. Vadre sets the standard very high. Thank you for never making me sorry for choosing you!

Vadre and Gavora is the best. I have been going to her for years. Every time I go I have a great experience. I even travel from SoCal. I trust her 100%. Nobody has been as good as her… You are LUCKY to have her so close! See you soon!!!

Why go anywhere else! The staff is great but my favorite is Sara, okay and Robbie too! I am always treated so well, just like family! I highly recommend Gavora for all your hair needs!

I got a haircut from Rob a few months ago. I loved it. He did a great job! The new location is great, it’s very nice inside. I work at a spa down the street and whenever we get walk ins asking if we do hair, I recommend Gavora Studio.

Run dont walk away. Horrible service, horrible cuts, very expensive too. I will never go back. Hope my hair grows fast. I used to have very very long hair .they gave me to a stylist that specializes in short hair. I didnt want short hair .this place sucks !!!

Beware of bad service! Long story short; I made a one and a half hour drive to Gavora Studio to purchase the WRONG shampoo. After speaking with a «professional» and showing her my hair, I made the purchase with all confidence that it was the correct shampoo (until I fully read the box at home).
When I brought this to their attention the next week after making yet another drive to Manteca, the staff was unapologetic and a bit snooty.
I’ve worked in retail for many years and I know how it is when an unhappy customer gives a piece of their mind. With that said, I brought the issue to their attention calmly and expected a bit of empathy BUT surprise, surprise… they didn’t give a s!@t.
Due to this experience based only on purchasing a product… you’ll never catch me getting anything done in this salon.

I have been going here for years. I loved it at first, the design of the place, full service salon, friedly staff different beauty party’s they thru. Over the years though things started going downhill to the point now I will not return. The arguing between employees is bad when you are paying city prices. owell off to find another

. I have gone to beauty shops as far away as San Jose, trying to find someone that knows WTH he/​she is doing. Gina, the BEST haircutter in the area is the ONLY person I trust to cut my hair. I have appointments four months out, to be sure I get her. I don’t know what the problems these other reviewers had, but I always get treated special, maybe it’s attitude? I LOVE Gina & I went to beauty school, so I do know a thing or two about hair.

I use to go here because this was where I first met my stylist. She was great but the actual salon is kinda cheesy. I only kept going here because she was there but it was defiantly NOT the type of salon I was use to seeing or going to for the money. They really need to update the décor and renovate.

Worst customer service. I thought I’d try this place and made an appointment with Sara at 11:30. I gave up at 11:50 when it became clear that it would be awhile. I’ll go back to my usual salon in Elk Grove.

I just left Gavora Salon and it was worth the hour drive to get here! My stylist was Vadre and was so nice and listened to exactly what I wanted and told me what my hair could and couldn’t handle. Loved the decorations, free soft drinks and pleasant atmosphere. This was recommended by my good friend who also travels the hour to see her, apparently a common denominator here.

I had been searching for a good stylist for a while since my last one had pretty much ruined my hair… I tried Gavora out on a referral from my sister in law, I called and they told me that I needed to have a consulation so that they could serve me in the best way possible. They asked me if I had a stylist in mind I wanted to request and when I said no, they told me that Jaclyn. When i arrived for my appointment I was greeted by the front desk, I waited a few minutes and then was greeted by Jaclyn, she was extremely pleasant and listened intently to everything that I wanted out of my hair. She recommended a few things and once we agreed… she colored my hair a dark color and gave me a trim. The results were excellent! she also recommend shampoos and conditioners that would help maintain my hair, I am hooked on those products too! I was pleasantly surprised to see that on each visit you are offered a drink, non alcoholic or alcoholic, and they are always very creative, once I had something orange-​y another time it was an apple martini, either ways, Gavora offers great service from the staff (especially Jaclyn), great drinks, great styles and cuts. I love this place!

I have been coming to Gavora for the past 5 years. When I was living and working in Stockton, I ran into a girl who had the cutest haircut and asked who cut her hair. Since that day, I have been coming to see Gina to get my hair cut and colored. She is a wonder with the razor, and understands how to work with thick hair because hers is the same way. When my hair starts looking like «christmas tree head» (Gina and I call it that because it starts to get bigger and thicker towards the end like a triangle) I know it is time for me to make the trek down to Manteca. Since 2003, I have moved to Sacramento, but I refuse to find another stylist to cut my hair. So I make the trek down the 99 to Manteca to see my girl Gina. Prices are reasonable, it’s usually about $ 45 for a cut and style, but compared to what my friends pay in Sacramento, the 45 minute drive is worth it to me.

Alwalys get a good haircut, color and style. A bit pricey for Manteca though, more like bay area prices.
