Legend Music

Excellent instructors and staff. Both kids take lessons and they LOVE it! One is in a band run by Legends and has a blast. Legends makes sure they have gigs and weekly practice. It’s great!

This is a relatively new Music store which offers lessons as well as retailing musical instruments and offering music lessons. The store is deceptively large and buried in a corner near the Orchard Supply. But don’t let the location fool you. The store is clean and well stocked. The owners and employees have always been kind to myself and my son when we are in the store and it’s a pleasant, no pressure, buying experience. My son gets to try all of the instruments he likes without being told not to touch things (within reason of course haha) and he’s pretty interested in the trumpet now because he was able to try one here. The small town feel and personal customer service is refreshing. You won’t find that at these bigger franchised places. If you want great service, practical advice and help with choosing the right instrument and lessons etc. This is the place to come. You may have to spend a little more than walmart prices for quality products but it’s well worth it. You get what you pay for and their knowledge and expertise is well worth it!

Sorry to see this place has only one, sad, star! We’ve been coming here for a while now and have had nothing but good experiences! We’ve purchased several items from the store, and everyone has always been really nice and relatively helpful. My 5 year old son takes drum lessons here now, with Ryan, and he LOVES it. Ryan is really a great teacher, and is so patient and knowledgeable. He seems to teach an array of instruments, which is nice. Anyway, I would recommend this place for sure if you’re in need of any instrument, or accessory, or lesson!

This was not for something I purchased. Instead I watched as a friend had to endure their lying, incompetence, and inability to actually help. He bought a music recording program that the sales person said would most definitely work with his Mac. Not true. And when he went back in to tell them it wouldn’t work, they said that there was nothing they could do «since» he had already registered it. Well he had not registered it and when he told them that, they changed their tune and told him he had to register it first so that it would work. My friend asked for his money back. Apparently the person helping him repeatedly started asking him ‚‘you want it to work right?’ My friend kept saying that he did and he was given their assurance that if it doesn’t work this time then he will help personally and ‘make sure to do everything to make it work. ’ Sounds awesome but they didn’t hold to that bargain. So of course he registers it and it doesn’t work. He goes back in and they do not know how to make it work and refuse to return the item. Also, despite emailing the manufacturer and numerous other online help guides, my friend is unable to make the program work for his computer. So the sales person lied either because he wanted the sale or because he couldn’t help saying he knew something when he really didn’t. Maybe he believed it would work but how they have since approached the situation is why they get this review. So I have that program sitting in my living room and my friend has ceased to fight for his money back. It cost him a lot of money and it is unusable for him. Now of course there could be a manufacturer error in labeling. However, this music store should own up to the quality of the products they sell. You would think all musicians are in it together-​to make music. I guess not.

I will be waiting for the owner to contact me so that we can get our money back. At that time I will update my review and cease to tell every musician I know about the 200 dollar box that sits in my living room. All we wanted was that little box to record the guitar as it was played. Now Legend has their money but not their integrity.

I received a message a few months ago from Legend Music that I just noticed, they are willing to help me. I have messaged back and will update my review if all goes well. I usually want to support small businesses and this should be no different… we shall see. I will keep you all informed.

Every now and then, certain recognition must be given when an individual or a group of individuals go above and beyond the norm. I would like to give such recognition to Legend Music and its amazing team. It is very rare to walk into a store, regardless of what is being sold or what you are seeking, and find a very high level of integrity, respect, passion, knowledge, and dedication.
When it comes to music not only is the Legend Music team extremely knowledgeable but they radiate with passion… passion for the music they bring to life not only in their store but in the clients that walk through the door. Let me introduce you to the following individuals:
Doug, Mr. CEO/​Chief Executive Janitor (lol)
Francie, Mrs. CEO/​Sweetest Lady ever
Jeremy, Instructor, Manager, IT guy, Music Tech guy… (What doesn’t he do?)
These individuals are but a few pieces of the Legend Music puzzle. Their network is outstanding, their instructors are some of the very best around, and their resources are limitless. Example, if you are searching for an ancient TAR (very old and expensive Persian guitar), the LM Team will find it before you walk out the door. All this is impressive. What I haven’t hit you with yet; what makes them THE BEST…
HONESTY… Their honesty is something to be modeled after. They will not sell you anything you shouldn’t be in and they never upsell anything for personal gain. Prior to purchasing my first guitar I walked in not having a clue what type of guitar I really wanted or needed. I just had a spark of passion for the thing (a guitar). Doug, Francie, and Jeremy took my spark and turned it into a raging volcanic eruption. The driving factor to pick up a guitar and start playing is my daughter, Isabella (9months and a trouble maker like her daddy). The LM Team sat down with me and helped me build a strong foundation in playing the guitar. Their approach is the best in the business. They don’t just provide you with an instrument, they find what drives you… then they educate you on the differences between the different instruments. In short… they care a lot about each person that walks through the door.
Here is another great selfless contribution they make to the community and their customers, they share their instruments inside their store on a live stage. Every Friday night they host a jam night. They allow you to test drive the instruments (If you are good boys and girls); that is rare!
In conclusion, from start to forever… Legend Music not only guides you through your adventure in music but they become longtime friends. I have recommended Legend Music to everyone in my family and circle of friends, from the US all the way to Australia.
