Luu’s Chicken Bowl

This little hideaway is amazing. Inexpensive, fast, courteous and delicious. I can grab lunch on the fly and never have to wait very long. The girls are efficient and don’t cause drama by talking too much to other employees or asking personal questions of the customers. Although older looking with respect to the building and furnishings it is still always clean.

Very, very satisfied.
Meats are grilled on the spot. Very fresh vegetables. Great portion and excellent price.
I am coming again.

Use to be one of my favorites. Very dissatisfied with my last visit. First of all the customer in front of me requested 30 sauces and I do believe she received them and when I ordered I asked for 6 sauces and was only given 2 and refused to give me more. Secondly five minutes after sitting down an employee approached me saying they are closed basically kicking me out. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

This place is legit. Great portion size, good food. Speedy service. If you’re looking for a good teriyaki place you will not be disappointed.

My go to place when I am too lazy to cook at home lol. Brown rice w/​chicken & veggies. Simple, healthy, and super good!

This place is disgusting. All the food is super cold and has no flavor what so ever. The soup tastes like it came out of a can, the mushrooms are fully cooked. Shitty place to eat honestly.

It’s ok didn’t really like the veggies and sauce is made with corn syrup building is a little old.

Still my fave chicken bowl with brown rice (sometimes white both are great here) extra veggies, and dap of there teriyaki sauce, and some of there hot sauce. Hmmmmm

Excellent food with excellent prices! Forget fast food burgers because they charge more and have too many preservatives and other junk you don’t want to eat. However, Luu’s chicken is natural, healthy, and no loaded with garbage.
This place is excellent for lunch or dinner. They are fast and friendly. I’d go here again and again whenever I’m in the area.

I got really really bad food poisoning from here!!! Stay away! It tastes delicious but not worth the 7 days of sickness following!

AS an avid chicken bowler from around the country this one sucks the most. building is run down, smells inside, now here are the pros and cons of this type of shop,
pros: affordability good for family basics, and budget.
cons: filthy inside, needs attention to building, chicken is pre cooked and then held for numerous hours, the cook their chicken off twice a day once before the lunch rush and once before dinner.. chicken should always be cooked to order, especially at a chicken bow eatery, pre prepping food is ok when its the rice but it doesn’t take much to keep water boiling to blanch veggies and a grill hot to grill fresh breasts, the yakitori is the worst because the cook it oof prep it then freeze them, when you order a yakitori ala carte or a number 4 they pull the sticks from the freezer than into the fat fryer to even make the chicken more tough to eat.
as a chef and former restaurant owner. we have a responsibility to our customers to keep them from getting sick, food borne illness is the worst in chicken houses that cook off then hold chicken in a warmer for an extended period of time it promotes bacteria growth as well as over cooks the chicken to make it like jerky instead of fresh juicy easy to chew and full of flavor freshly grilled over a flame chicken.
I have phoned the owner of this place and he didn’t care and even the so called manager doesn’t care either. who pays all that labor to keep a assembly line dinner menu and lie to the masses. if you want a fresh chicken experience go to onos Hawaiian bbq and get fresh to cooked each order.
I only gave them two stars cause even a single star gets lonely by itself.

This place is so good. My Favorite is the #7 with a lot of teriyaki sause. Can’t leave the place without it.

I love Luu’s. It’s so quick and cheap. They even offer up the nutrition values of their meals. Pretty much everything is good here. Crab puffs, pork, chicken yakitori, steamed veggies, etc. The miso soup is excellent. My mom is from Japan and Luu’s miso is the only one that can compete with my mom’s recipe. I love that they offer brown rice now. You can’t beat this place for quick, healthy (ish) food.

Wanting chicken as I was driving to Popeyes I seen the sign for luu’s chicken I quickly made a u turn. Being a first timer I got the chicken first bite was the salad second was the chicken and it was amazing! Crispy and tender can’t wait to try the beef!

this place is absolutely affordable and they have quite a generous serving too.
4 stars because they are fast and food is somewhat decent. sometimes the food lacks the flavor it (just a little bit) but if one is paying 3 – 4 $ a meal then one shouldnt complain.
the guys who work there are very nice too.
all in all a decent place, nothing really special but it an Ok restaurant.

Love Luu’s chicken bowl, been going here and the one in Stockton as well for years. Best part for me, is that now that I’ve had weight loss surgery, I can still buy food here for my family and I can get my chicken a la carte and still be able to enjoy having the same thing as my family without spending a fortune. I do wish they would do some upgrades on the building, but other than that, they keep it nice and clean inside.

This place is definitely a hole in the wall. I drove by it so many times because it doesn’t really catch your attention when driving by. Staff is friendly and food is good. Would definitely recommend it

One of my favorite spots in Manteca! I got introduced to this place by a few friends when I worked at Bass Pro Shops in Manteca and went here for lunch. Wow!!! The best teriyaki chicken bowl spot I’ve been to.
My favorite plate to order is the Grilled Pork Bowl with extra pork, broccoli, and brown rice. The portions they give you is no joke and it’s so good. Once you get your food go around the station and get some of there orange spicy sauce. I put this all over the food and it tastes amazing!
