Love the eye doctors and technicians! HATE the fact that after 15 years they are all of a sudden making billing errors and statements that are wrong are being sent out and after spending hours in the office and paying they are calling me saying we forgot to charge you for this and that! I don’t have time to double check which I certainly do now your slopping accounting. DONE! Sorry Dr. Stellhorn but your staff… below sub par! Bye… C’est la vie. NEXT…

Good hours and Dr. Stellhorn is very friendly. But the staff is very unprofessional and condescending. They charged me the wrong amount for lenses and wanted me to come back that same day. After dealing with them, I won’t be going back at all.

Dr Stellhorn is a good doctor, but he needs new staff. I don’t normally write anything bad about anybody or place but this place is ridiculous with that being said I will find a new place I won’t be going back.

Took way too long to see doctor. But the doctor was great. Staff needs more experience with customer service.

Dr Stellhorn is a great eye doctor. Very thorough and professional. I would give 5 stars but the front desk is very poor.

Very friendly staff. I called and scheduled an appointment and they squeezed me in the same day. Doctor was very informative and helpful with all questions. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Our eyes are the most delicate exposed part of the human body so naturally we parents are going to be choosy with who cares for the needs of our children’s eye care… My wife and I took our daughters (11, 12 years old) to Manteca Optometric for their glasses. Of coarse my kids were a little nervous on our way there. But the staff was very kind and very child-​friendly. The prescription was perfect and the girls are excited about the new stylish but necessary eye glasses.
And of coarse, they invited us to return for adjustments anytime.
I defiantly recommend them for you and your young ones!

The Dr was okay. The staff not experienced. Technician couldn’t and didn’t align my sight of vision and my lenses came out really messed up. While I was there another customer came in who was very unhappy for another reason. I’m not rich but I need glasses and need them to be done right the first time by experienced staff. I ended up having to go to my old eye doctor in Livermore and they redid everything. Sheesh.

I’ve been coming here for a bit over 3 years and have never had any issues. The staff has always been friendly and follow up when needed. I’ve only seen Dr Fujii here and he’s been awesome. Smart, friendly guy and I’ve never had problems with my prescription.
The frames are average prices and they had a nice selection of Ray Bans. Lots of sunglasses too!
I got my glasses within 2 weeks and they were helpful when I had to go back for a quick adjustment.

I will start off by saying I will give them another chance as I did not get to see Dr Fred Stellhorn for my appointment and will suggest him next time I need to go in. Felt rushed the entire time I was in the office. The receptionist is rude, in a big rush and never has an answer for any of the questions you ask. Maybe she’s new? On my first visit she demanded a customer to sit down at the eye glasses area, and he responded «Is that a request or a demand» after she was rude to him. The Dr I saw was in a hurry and uneducated. Sent me home with a pair of contacts that weren’t strong enough. When I made an appointment a few days later because of the problem, she said «You told me you could read it, why cant you now?» I insisted they order the same pair i’ve been wearing for the past 10 years with no problems they insisted on ordering a different brand of contacts. Therefore I returned as they were not strong enough. So after arguing with them to order my same brand, they finally say they will order me a trial pair which take 24hours. After 4 days later, they tell me there on backorder and didn’t know when they would get the trials. Going forward, they called me back 2 hours later to say they were in the office. When I picked them up they handed me the contacts to say, Try them on whenever you get a chance if you like them we can order them. I call back to have them order the contacts and they can’t tell me how long they will take and I need to talk to someone else that will call me back later??? Ok I re-​track my opening statement! I will not return to this place!!!

Best eye doctor I’ve ever had. I moved from the bay area and needed to find a new eye doctor. I was pleasantly surprise with the service I received here. They took their time and gave me a very thorough check up. Back at my old eye doctor i always felt like i was being rushed. The doctor actually will sit and have a conversation with you and give you an opportunity to ask questions. We went to Fred Stellhorn, I’m not sure how the other doctors are but if they are like him I’d recommend this place to everyone. Especially since on Tuesdays they are open till 9. Which is great for my husband that works late and doesn’t want to waste his weekend at the doctors office. The only thing I’d have to say which I’d say about all eye doctors offices is that the frames are over price. Next time I’m going to Costco for my glasses. Other than that they are great! (and the best part they give you your prescription without even having to ask for it)
Update: I agree with other review now about the front desk. I called to book an appointment and the girl on the phone was super rude to me. So horrible I’m thinking about switching eye doctors now. They really need to look into hiring friendlier people. Not to mention they are very unprofessional. She answered the phone laughing. And than preceded to treat me like i was bugging her.
