Straw Hat Pizza

We ordered 2 pizza and breads breadsticks online. Shortly after we received a call that they were out of several of our toppings. We asked to cancel the order. At that time the manager got on the phone and told us since it was paid for online there was so way to cancell, she couldn’t help us further and hung up. Our pizzas arrived but the breadsticks did not. The delivery girl said she would go back for them. Almost an hour later we had to call and ask where they were, only to be told I guess we can bring them to you.
Besides all that the pizzas and breadsticks tasted horrible. We will not be going back.

The pizza’s not bad. Service is good. But I just found out that a gang related murder happened there saturday night. So, im not going there any more .From now on when I want Straw Hat im getting it delivered…

worst pizza place in manteca! service was horrible! took 30 minutes to recieve two beers that ended up being hot by the time we got them. waited over an hour for a small pizza and 6 hot wings. ended up having to cancel our order because they were taking so long. had nothing but teenage boys working by themselves. they sat in the back eating pizza and bullshitting around the whole time well other people waited on their orders. never going back again. defnitely going to tell others

The very same pizza I love as a kid! It’s nice to finally find the old school pizza again. Stopped in here after a night of shopping, to my surprise, the staff was super friendly and inviting. The pizza was the best. This place is the very same «olé fashion» pizza place that I loved as a kid, now as a parent there is even more to appreciate. There is a game room for the kids, in a safe area away from the door, tv’s to watch the game on… I’ll be taking the drive out to manteca again to enjoy the food and surroundings again. Highly recommend.

Seriously the worse experience I’ve ever had at a pizza parlor:-(I don’t know if it’s because I had a coupon to buy a large pizza and get a medium one topping pizza free or if it’s just there pizza! Cost $ 47 for a large pizza, free medium pizza, 2 ONE trip salad bars and a pitcher of flat warm beer! Pizza crust was dry with no flavor, toppings were skimping and old tasting. Not even sure if pizza had any sauce or cheese because there was so little of it. Happy that I purchased the salad because even those the selection wasn’t the best at least I had something to eat. However, I still left hungry. Did complain but nobody seemed to care nor did they offer to make another pizza or any other resolution. Boxed pizza to take with me which I gave to some homeless people on my way home. This will be the last time I ever go here and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. I’ve had better $ 5 pizza from little Caesars than I had here. If possible I’d rate this a NEGATIVE 5 STARS!

Seriously folks almost $ 45.00 for two large non specialty pizzas! No wonder your restaurant was empty when I was there. You guys are a JOKE! Roundtable is the way to go!!!

Went here the other night. Got the personal pizza. It was all sauce. One of the young ladies working counter was just not happy. Not friendly at all. I asked her if she ever smiles and she told me it was to hot to smile.

The owner is very unprofessional when you make a complaint about their mistakes they make on a pizza when they make them. Got into an argument over it whit him. Will never go back when there is a far better place, «Mountain Mikes» less than 200 yards from him! By far a better pizza there in all aspects! Suggest going to Mountain Mike if you want a great pizza!

Straw hat pizza is one of my fav places in town. Good place to catch the UFC/​Boxing cage match fights (if your into that). I personally love their HOT HAT SANDWICH and watching the Football games there. They have like 5 or seventy inch TVs so I get to catch all my football games there.

A regular pizza place with a salad bar and a couple of party rooms. Employees are great, especially when we bring in a group of retarted people for a meal.
They give us a room as well as generously catering to the sometimes goofy beverage requests. The favorite of the group are the garlic rolls which I admit are awfully good.
Thanks to all of you for cleaning up our messes. Good hearted place with big-​hearted employees.

My husband and I went there today and had a great experience with the wednesday dinner buffet. It was $ 7.99 for a soda and the buffet. The buffet had the salad bar, potato wedges, groovy cheesy bread twists, BBQ wings, buffalo wings, 3 different pizzas at the time. The soda was cool because there was a sweet tea option: D I love sweet tea! The only thing I didn’t really like was that I was expecting jalapeño poppers or green bean crispers but it was still an amazing price for unlimited wings, pizza and potato wedges. My favorite dinner buffet in manteca.

Tuesday this week I called in and ordered 2 pizzas. I was told they very busy and it would take 30 minutes. Not bad at all, I thought it always took that long.
When I arrive 35 minutes later the place was packed.
There was an order line and a take out line.
2 ladies in the take out line and 20 in the order line. I wanted about 5 minutes for my turn.
When it WAS my turn the gentleman at the register told me I would have to get into the other line (order line)
I told him that was not going to happen, since I had called in my order and waited in the take out line I was not going to wait an other 30 minutes line to get a cold pizza.
I told him I’ll take the pizzas or you can eat them. I guess he ate them.
I called Guido’s Pizza an picked up in 15 minutes. Guido’s is the best pizza in Manteca. I just wanted to try Straw Hat

Love it! Can be little pricy if you don’t do a special or have a coupon. But they have one of my favorite pizzas, black olive and linguisa (and it is good linguisa)!
They usually have good take out specials, I drop by regularly when we need to feed a bunch of people.

I didn’t even realize that there were still Straw Hat Pizza restaurants open! We went in for a birthday lunch a few weeks back with family. This is really a forgotten gem of a pizza place. The pizza was really fresh and tasty, perfect amount of crust (not too thick, not too thin). The salad bar was well stocked and clean. Nothing like a salad to combat the grease of the pizza right? We were attending the party, so we didn’t pay, but my sister in law mentioned that the prices were pretty reasonable for the amount we ate.

sunday night i wanted to have a chill family night and decide to try something new. bad idea i order the 2 topping 2 large with 2 liter. the pizza’s taste like straight cardboard! never ever ever ever ever ordering from them again! we alltook a bite from one slice took another slice same taste. there is a whole pizza sitting in my kitchen untouched because it is so disgusting. thanks for ruining my sunday straw hat! i am very disappointed.

Ok small store, quiet when I went for their lunch special (salad bar, drink, and pan pizza for 7.42 TOTAL)
A bit pricey but I had 2 salads, pizza, and 4 refills on the Gold Peak Tea machine (which I had never seen before, but gold peak is my FAV sweetened tea «on tap» so to say) and I was stuffed healthy actually. Pizza didn’t wow me per say, but it was good, little low on the sauce side sadly so I can’t tell you about that so I kinda figured my personal pan size was the reason of little sauce, it was a little pizza. Cheese good, crust is just how I like it. Its a nice crispy mid-​range size with garlic flavor.
Salad bar was fresh, and this is why I gave it 4, the salad and free refills were just good wholesome healthy choices for a pizza place. I got my protein fix on the eggs and cottage cheese with salad. The place is clean, wait staff is nice, and it wasn’t busy at all making it easy for me to sit in front of the flat screen TV by myself and do work while watching and eating lunch
Fun Story:
Some old timers rolled in hassling the clerk about picking orders for lunch, ingredient by ingredient and had a calculator for their order! Poor cashier Casey, he was super nice about everything despite me almost freaking out because they were shouting their order from the TV area and asking questions to the front counter… Seriously some people… lol I give them a 2 for being obnoxious seniors. Funny how some older people complain about young kids…

Finally a Cali. pizza place I like. I know it’s a chain (I’m usually against them myself) but I liked this za. I’m just figuring out I always have to requet xtra sauce in CA, since everyplace here barely uses it. Interesting topping combinations (we had the bbq chicken and really liked it). It was relatively quick, and not crazy expensive. I can’t wait to try the rest of the awesome pie’s.
Update– went back and got the Hawian BBQ (with xtra sauce) wow, amazing. Such a perfect combo of savory and sweet, I think I’m a regular.

this is basically the best place to get pizza in manteca. The cashiers are your buds and never mess up on orders. Do not leave without having our soda, its like nothing else in town.
But seriously I work here, and have nothing but good to say about this place. If you’re into a relatively quiet pizza place in town this is it. Best deal in the restaurant is the «2 large 2 topping and a 2 liter/​drinks deal». you save like 10 bucks. One whack thing that we could fix is the arcades, they don’t work sometimes.
