Lot’s of merchandise, unusual and funky but very, very expensive. They carry everything from jewelry to handbags to shoes and clothes and even some local stationery and artwork. Interesting but definitely PRICEY.

If you’re looking for a gift for a girl-here is the place to go! In every nook and cranny of this place are all sorts of girly things to look at and find to buy! The owners are super friendly and get that being a beach town-they must make hay while the sun is shining. I like how they keep their selection fresh and pertaining to the type of person who would come to a town like manzanita. Coobies, keens, pategonia, etc. It is a tad pricey-so don’t come here looking for an inexpensive gift… but they always have sale bins out front and they have a 50% off jewelry case to browse as well!

Oh my what fun one can have in this special store. Sometimes I need to just cross to the other side of the street while walking by just to stay out. Love this to shop here!

All of my favorite boutique brands. This place has SO much inventory, it is incredibly well merchandised, and they have a broad range of sizes in each design. I was blown away by the sheer amount of accessories in the store. Really great shopping experience!

I stop here and buy something every time I visit Manzanita. Love the clothes, the sustainable philosophy, and the focus on local-ish designers.

I love this store! The service is great and so is the selection. Mr. Kupcakes and I visit it every time we are in town and always buy something. They have a great hat selection, jewelry from all over, super cute shoes, fun bags and so much more. Their prices aren’t crazy expensive for being in a small beach town, either.

Cute shop. Bought a super cool owl sweater here last weekend. Owner was personable and chatted with us awhile. Even had a mens section to give my hubby some respite with all the girl focused shops on Laneda. Only wish I had more money to spend!

Manzanita is, in general, one street; with women’s boutiques running up and down both sides, interrupted only by the occasional pub, book store or sandwich shop. There must be a city ordinance that requires a least a few square feet of the commercial zone to be set aside for men’s clothing. You can find that little plot of real-estate in the rear of Unfurl Clothing. This place is a little boutique, and the selection is more unique in general than the big box retailers. I made my way, passed a sprinkling of women examining the pink coats and sparkly blouses, to the government regulated«mens department». American men mostly wear injection molded rubber shoes and tee-shirts, and that’s what we find in most men’s departments. Ross carries cheap tees, while Unfurl Clothing carries expensive tees. Beyond the ubiquitous tees, Unfurl does carry a few shirts in the $ 75 to $ 110 range, some cheap hats — we’re not talking serious haberdashery here, and $ 50 flip-flops. To me this stuff is pricey, but I might pay it, if it sported a union label to prove the labor making it is getting a living wage. Nope: made in China.

Unfurl is a great place to check out if you are in the mood for shopping. Normally I am not a fan of store hopping in these little towns; they cater to older women who want weird knickknacks. This place is different. They have a bit of everything. They have clothes and accessories for men that I would actual wear and that are unique. My wife loves the shoes and spent some time checking them out. She has picked up several gift for friends here. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. It can be a bit claustrophobic when busy.

High drool factor here. everywhere I look I see what I would LOVE to buy. The clothing is of high quality, materials are pima cotton and bamboo that are sustainable — including items that only use natural dyes so that they do not leak in to rivers during the process for an example. Clothing that is so soft and comfortable, yet whimsical and colorful, and unique, and the way we should be wearing our clothing. If you keep looking around there are treasures all over. Shoes of every color and pattern that are made for walking in yet are just something an artist would have created for the feet. Speaking of art, they also have artwork they sell on their walls as well. I won’t even mention the fun jewelry. They also have affordable items on sale so do not be afraid to come in here. We need more stores like this that seem to spend a little time thinking about the effects of their products to the planet. So if that’s hippy talk — so be it.

Awesome store!!! Great mens clothing selection — cute womens stuff but a bit earthy for me. My daughter bought a great crave knit cap and found some great shirts in the sale bin. Totally trendy with great silver jewelry. Make sure this is a stop when you’re up and down the OC. :-)

Discovered this gem last year on a rainy day during our coastal vacation. A little pricey, but the selection and quality of the items are worth it. Shoes, jewelry bags; clothes for kids, men and women(bit heavier on the women’s selections.) Last year, found earrings, a non-touristy, eco-friendly Manzanita tee and Crocs for my son. This year, cool fedora and cute skirt and pedal pushers on sale(as well as son’s 2nd pair of crocs). Went back before leaving the coast for one last look and left with a black modal open cardigan/wrap and my 2nd non-touristy Manzanita tee. And another pair of Crocs for the kid. :) Friendly and helpful staff, too.

This store is trouble for me. I love just about everything they have. I drool over the organic cotton shirts. The incredible selection of shoes is so tempting. I never leave without purchasing something for someone. Their children’s section is probably my favorite. They carry a couple of organic, all-natural brands so I always end up getting onsies, pants, or some garment for a friend. Plus, I can find great deals in their sales bins.

I do not like to go into over-priced hippie import cool clothes stores! That said, I was on a vacation and strolling along. I found some great sale items and a lovely selection of beautiful clothes for the more well-heeled traveler. Very friendly staff.

Normally you’d have to lure me into a «natural» clothing store with… well, nothing would lure me in. But we were jovial from post-hike endorphins and beer. If my good friend wants to check out the eco-sneakers, then by God, I will check out the eco-sneakers! Wow. They have really cute stuff in this store. For babies, mens, and ladies. No, really, it’s all cute. No mushroom-colored misshapen Berkeley therapist-wear here. If I hadn’t already blown my mad money on books(see review for Cloud & Leaf), I would have left this store with three things: 1) Sneakers with blue and brown polka dots 2) Ocean-colored linen cap 3) Bamboo men’s boxers — with«trophy shelf» We might have had a little too much loud fun with that last item, but hey, when underwear advertises a TROPHYSHELF, what else can you do? Unfurl is now on my short list of Manzanita favorites. [In the 6 minutes since I posted this review, I’ve received several questions re: the trophy shelf. I do not claim to be an expert but it appears to be some sort of pocket in front so that a gentleman doesn’t have to squish his business down one leg or the other. Here is an example: ]
