Absolutely love this place. I do. But today we went there at 3 o’clock and there were 10 people in the bar/restaurant area and it honestly took them 18 and a half minutes to bring two beers and a mixed drink. Not one to complain like this, but I think someone needs to know about this problem so it can be fixed. Place has phenomenal potential but the service here is an absolute joke.

Food is subpar and the service is just terrible. You seat yourself in the game area and then wait 20 minutes for a server to notice you. When they finally come they take your order and that’s basically the last time you see them before the check. When the check finally comes to the table we told him we’d like separate checks actually because he never asked. He didn’t seem to pay any mind about making sure what was going to who because when he split them he did it wrong. We didn’t want to fight it anymore so we dealt with it among ourselves. When he came back to run our cards he stacked them inefficiently and it showed when he ran the wrong cards to each receipt. Again we dealt with it ourselves because he was clearly not coming back and was definitely stoned. Maybe that’s where he was during our whole meal. Teens loved the atmosphere and games but we definitely won’t come back for the food. Small portions potentially at an edible temperature for a laughable price.

So basically the place is kind of like Chuck e cheese but with both an adult and kid fare. They are up-to date on the games kids of today like to play but also some of the classics(a pacman game and a donkey kong duo) different kinds of skee ball and games of chance. If you are a first timer they could do a little more to help a person understand how the power cards work.(This from someone who has worked at Circus pizza before) but finally with a couple of workers I got it figured out. The games can be spendy, and they work on a so many tokens per game. There are games that give you prize tickets and some that don’t. One of the great features of the cards is that you can not only see your token balance but also your tickets received balance directly on the card. Great selection of games. Food was more suited to a high class restaurant than to a kids place. I tried the grilled 3 cheese sticks which is a grilled cheese sandwich cut into sticks(the cheeses are manchego, cheddar and mozzarella) good but slightly greasy understandable as it is grilled. Priced at $ 11.29 I did find it slightly on the expensive side, especially for an appetizer. Also ordered the bang bang spicy thai chicken which was very good, it was spicy but our Server Chris did bring me some teriyaki sauce that I requested as a tone downer and it worked great. For the portion I received the price of 12.99 was appropriate. My brother ordered a ny strip garlic mashed potatoes. They prepared it to his request and it was priced at 19.99. For the ambience the place is great. I was there on half price night and it wasn’t crowded. Have not tried it on a busy night. All in all the place is nice. Not something I would do everyday food wise but as a treat I was very happy.

I can’t believe I got talked into coming to a joint like this but I came in with an open mind. What a joke. I must have been wearing camouflage as I sat at the bar. Can’t get a beer a menu or food. Bartenders seem to damn busy playing slap ass and throwing stuff at each other. If I could I’d fire all of them.

Meh. I was not impressed. We walked in and stood by the hostess stand for 5 minutes before someone came to seat us. Then we sat at the table for 10 minutes before our server came. We ordered food and drinks all at once, just my fiancé and me. Then he came back a couple minutes later, after we ordered but before we got srinks, and asked if we decided on food… then the wrong food was brought out, and then the wrong bill was brought out. Don’t think we will be hosting our family reunion here, like we were considering.

This place is like a casino for kids. Most games are payouts for their tickets in order to get cheap items in their prize store. Perhaps it’s taste, but 90% of the games I had little interest in. My kids had an opportunity to play whatever they want, and they were having a tough time on choosing what to spend their credits on. We left with lots of credits still left in all of our cards. We ate lunch there. Price was ok. Food was ok. I would go out of my way to eat at D&B’s. All in all, an ok place to go as a last choice on a cold, grey Minnesota day

This place was very fun! I really enjoyed the ribs drinks and pretzel dogs. I also loved the games!

Wow… worst service ever. Our group of 5 had a really nice waitress who seemed overworked and frantic. She was polite and clearly busting butt to keep everyone happy. It took 20 minutes or so to get our order in which wasn’t that bad. …then the waiting started… Over an hour to get our food after we ordered. When it came, one person’s meal was hot and the other 4 were cold… not just a little cold but sauces and cheese dried out and congealed. There was a film on top of the pasta cream sauce from it sitting out. I just ate my cold meal because I was really hungry. 2 in our party sent theirs back because it’s not cool to serve a cold seafood dish. 30 minutes later the manager brought out the redone meals and told us that he’d take them off of our bill… which didn’t happen until we complained that the bill was incorrect. We still got charged for half of the cold meals in the end and after 3, three,(this many) hours… three hours to have dinner before even trying to go play a game we just wanted to get out of there. Will never be back. This place needs new management.

As far as the food goes, it is pretty average for the most part. I DO like the pretzel dogs the best. The big problem is the service. I understand when it is busy things can get hectic, but I have been here before when it was twice as busy and still got better service. When the food came out, everyone got theirs except for me. It took the server 20 minutes to figure out that they forgot to put my order in, and then probably another 20 to get me my food, by which point the rest of my party was pretty much done eating, so I felt really awkward. To top it off, they didn’t even offer to make it right by giving me a discount or even some free game credits or SOMETHING. Not to mention the fact that we were there for a friends birthday party, and they don’t do ANYTHING for birthdays, no dessert, NOTHING! Wouldn’t you think that a place like this would do at least SOMETHING for a birthday!!! Of course, not many go to D & B for the food, it is more about the games and drinks. Drinks are pretty good, although can be pricey if you get some of the specialty drinks. You can also spend a good amount of money on games in a short period of time. It is all about finding the cheaper games with the bigger payouts and mastering them. I plan to go to the one opening in Edina in a couple of days to see how that one is. It is closer to home for me anyway. Hopefully it is better because I really like the atmosphere here.

Rude, rude people. My 15 year old son and his two 15 year old friends could certainly drop some serious cash playing games but God help them if they wanted to look at the prizes without an adult present. Company policy is what I am told. Want to bounce a ball? Can’t do that either. Yep. Company policy. Here’s my policy… I don’t frequent businesses that have douche bag company policies.

Bartender was rude to our crew. We were in a Daytona 500 race and we were allowed to get a pitcher by grabbing their ids. And we were allowed to get a waitress over to the race for them to individually check ids. She literally said I don’t understand why all your group of 15 can’t stop playing games and just come to the bar to drink. You don’t need to drink in the arcade area…

I’ve only been here once so keep that in mind. I’m sure every restaurant has good and bad nights but when we were there it was solid. Let’s face it, you don’t go to a gaming joint expecting«unbelievable» food, however, the food here the night we were there was fine. It was typical bar/Apple Bees-type food but it was good. I have zero complaints and neither did anyone else in our party of 6. Everyone said the food was«very good.» Our server was friendly, accommodating, and as fast as he could be on a busy Saturday night. Our kids had a great time too as they racked up lots of tickets and got lots of prizes. Overall, I would definitely come here again for a family night out with kids but I doubt I’d come here with just my wife as we’re not really into games. Our kids were the reason we decided to give this place a shot. Travis

Let’s start with the food, nothing here that is going to «blow your socks off» the food was average, but good. We went on Taco Tuesday where they dish out tacos for a buck a piece. I cannot speak for the flavor/quality of said tacos but I can say that they were served without sour cream or salsa and looked rather plain, to be honest a few sides of these dressings would have been nice to see without special request. I had the chicken quesadilla which was good, again, nothing mind blowing, but good. I was surprised to find jalapeño slices in mine which added a nice kick to it. Moving on… the beer selection leaves something to be desired at best, you will find all of your typical imports and domestics but very few craft beers to cater to beer snobs such as myself. I realize that not every establishment need to be a dang microbrewery but it would be nice to see more than 1IPA and maybe a few more stouts on the menu. Aside from beer you will find a wide range of very interesting drinks, if fruity drinks are your thing, then you will like what they have to offer. Let’s talk service, truth be told the service here is far below par. A friend and I were waiting for our party at the front entrance, we were passed by several employees including managers without so much as a hello, granted, this seems to be a seat yourself type of place but it was pretty clear that we were unsure how things worked and a little customer service could have gone a long way. Our server was also very forgetful when it came to our drinks, even had to go to the bar to order because we got sick of waiting. If you want to keep people coming back its the service, nobody expects a place like D&B to blow them away with the extravagant food and drink menus, but if you can’t provide service those shortcomings become severely compounded.

This review isn’t about food. The food is all right. Nothing memorable but nothing to complain about. Typical bar food menu. Got the chicken quesadilla and it came out tasty– lots of chicken, lots of cheese, and salsa. Simple but good. Rail drinks were cheap. Spent $ 30 on food and $ 30 on drinks… Got way more drinks than food. NOWONTOTHEGAMES!!! Go on Wednesdays when games are half-priced!!! We went on a Friday, spent $ 75 and got a ton of «tokens»… Got there at 7pm, ate dinner, and proceeded to play every single game there. We only got about 75% through when we got tired suddenly(old farts) and realized it was midnight. Haha. There are a huge variety of games for every kind of gamer– carnival type games, trivia, games of chance where you win tickets for prizes, and there are a lot of first person shooter games, too. We plan to come back for more games!!! But on Wednesday this time so we can spend twice as long. I’m not ashamed. Haha.

This was my first experience at a Dave & Buster’s, and it was not pleasant. Our waitress Lilly was absolutely horrible and rude. I’ve worked in the food industry, and am willing to give some leeway, but this was ridiculous. We met up with friends to watch the Vikings game this past Sunday. On the website, there is a lot of advertising for game day specials, great atmosphere to watch games, etc. Maybe you should relay that information to your waitstaff, because she was trying to get us out of the restaurant as soon as possible. We were clearly there to eat and enjoy the game, and didn’t appreciate feeling rushed. Lilly was also really bad at replenishing drinks, even though the dining area wasn’t that busy. She would grab an empty glass from our table without asking if a refill was needed. One person in our group waited 20 minutes before he was able to get another beer. We started going up to the bar to refill drinks because our waitress was nowhere to be found. In fact, any time we asked for anything e.g. an extra plate, extra silverware, ranch dressing, etc. it was like we were inconveniencing her. She was not pleasant at all. Our group was about 9 people, and a few showed up later into the game. She started taking all the menus off of the table, even though we explained others were on their way. Our group spent $ 200+ and we probably would’ve spent more had our waitress been more attentive, and less rude. I don’t think we will ever come back. I feel bad giving a one-star rating because the Maker’s Mark burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten, but you seriously need to do something about the service.

Decided to have a date night with my son. We had dinner & played games. I swear pricing went up! The food was overpriced. I ordered the Cajun pasta & there was nothing Cajun about it. Tasted like super bland Alfredo with angel hair pasta. Not good. The mushrooms were whe, not even sliced! It was still raw. Seriously NOT worth $ 15! My son had the chicken tenders and fries. he got pineapple juice which tasted like watered down old sour juice. No pineapple flavor whatsoever. I had to switch it out for chocolate milk. Our server was really nice and accommodating BUT slow. Everytime I needed something she was nowhere to be found but I saw the same servers waking around but she was always Mia. The power up card. These things USED to be free with your meal. Now they charge you $ 2 for a car PLUS the tokens. I got 125 tokens got $ 23 but since I didn’t have the power up card I paid $ 2 = $ 25! Upside, since I got a new card I got 10 extra tokens. So $ 25 for 135 tokens. Expensive, food was not good, I’d come back for games & drinks.

My brother chose this place to celebrate his birthday with the family(11 of us). The restaurant does not take reservations so I was skeptical they would have space for us. When I told the host«how many» he seated us at an empty table of exactly 11 seats already set up! The menu was huge. Burgers, sandwiches, pastas and the like. I ordered a BLT with avocado that came with fries. The sandwich was actually quite good! Not too greasy, not skimpy on any ingredients. Pretty standard yet very(surprisingly) good! The fries. Also unexpectedly good! Thick cut and cooked to perfection. Not too greasy, not too burnt. Decent flavor and the skin was still on some of the fries. Legit? Yep. The service was great. She even brought me a new set of fries because mine had tipped over on her serving tray. I didn’t even ask for a new set nor did I see it happen. My sister got bonus fries on her mac and cheese though. We skipped dessert here since my sister made cupcakes… shh! We snuck it in! After dinner we headed to what appeared to be a chunk of Vegas within Arbor Lakes. AKA, the arcade side of D&B. So many flashy lights! So many beeps, chimes and dings! Some of the games even had buttons on them for«cocktail service!» A few of us threw $ 35 into a machine to charge up a card for points. Pretty expensive to play dinky games for rolls of tickets to redeem for five pieces of candy. But that’s like the point, right? TIP: if you have small children with you NEVEREVER let them play those claw games where you’re supposed to grab a stuffed animal or miniature football. Once they get a taste of it they will want to drain you of all your points/money for only repetitive disappointment. Another TIP: If you decide to do some photo booth fun… beware this is not your typical photo booth. It is terrible. First, you put in $ 3 and not tokens/points/coins. Next, you have to watch an instructional video that you cannot hear because the arcade is very loud. Then you must choose a photographer. That’s right, these are videos of characters that tell you when to pose. We chose the Italian supermodel photographer. He then starts talking about something(not sure what, couldn’t hear it) and then yells«POSE!» So we basically had no idea what was going on during this time and ended up with nine photos of 2⁄3 of us looking strangely on at the screen in front of us. My step daughter was the only one that posed. Perhaps I’ll post a pic. It was hilarious. Overall, we had a really fun time. Food quality was a surprise(I wasn’t ill afterwards!) and I can pretty much play skeeball all afternoon long and be quite content. Let’s celebrate every birthday here!

Dave & Buster’s is like a weird hybrid between Chuck E Cheese and Applebee’s…but that would be an insult to Applebees. I went there last night for my daughter’s 13th birthday. This was my third visit in the past year… again, NOT my idea, my daughter’s idea this time. She loved it. I wasn’t so impressed. Of course, for kids, it’s all about the arcade. The food was average and overpriced for what you get. The service was slow and lackluster. This is a great place to go if you want to have some drinks while your kids play in the arcade. Other than that, I can’t see a reason to stop here, especially with so many phenomenal choices nearby. –Daddy Maxx Retro

Last night I went to Dave and Busters with a Living Social deal and the hope that I could relive the days when Chuck E Cheese when the venue where I wanted every life event to happen. I have to say, it was a ton of fun. I wouldn’t come here multiple times in a year, but it’s nice to mix up our date activities and this was a breath of fresh air. We had drinks and played games for a few hours, I would recommend getting there after 9pm like we did. The teenagers start to clear out so you get your pick of games rather than waiting. We especially liked the trivia and PAC man games because you could compete with other people too. They had the classics like skeeball and free throw games, but also had super-sized versions of popular cell phone games like cut the rope and fruit ninja. There were random games that didn’t give out tickets, so if you are seriously trying to save up for that high ticket hot dog cooker or human sized mustached banana in the game room, you should pay attention. I would say it was a reasonably priced night for the entertainment we got out of it, both drinks and games. My only complaint is that we had several halfway full drinks taken away by busboys while we were playing games, which was frustrating. I understand there are lots of high schoolers around and you need to keep an eye on them, but it was like stealing money out of my pocket. Not cool.
