Dave & Buster’s

This was the first time my family and I had been to a Dave and Buster’s. It will be the last time we go to the one in Maple Grove. We got there at 5:30 and we were able to get seated right away. We asked the hostess for a gluten free menu. She told me that she would have a manager bring it over. We then waited about 10 minutes for the first waitress to greet us and let us know she would be back for our drink order. It was another 10 minutes before a waiter showed up asking for our drink order. At 6:05 I went back to the hostess stand and asked, «When are we going to see the gluten free menu I asked for?» A few minutes later someone dropped it off at the table. Our drinks then came after another few minutes. We ordered our food. I had been cold the whole time so I walked to Marshalls to get something to put over my tank top. When I walked in at 6:30 our food was being placed on the table. I had ordered cabo chicken (I think). I only ate one piece of chicken and it was very low quality. I order the mac and cheese in place of the spicy rice, which was a mistake. The mac and cheese was tasteless, my steamed broccoli had more flavor. The service got much better after we had gotten our food. (Not that I am sure it could have been worse!) We almost walked out before we got our drinks and I am sorry that we didn’t. The food menu looked awesome and exciting but it then again it is just pictures of food that is not actually edible. Don’t let this place fool you.

Got here at 5:15, we were seated, and forgotten about for 25 min. We has to flag someone down, then 2 people went in search of our server, rather that just getting us started. the server had almost no idea how power cards work. She also had to ask my order 3 times. Then before she left, she asked if I needed a soda refill… I didn’t have soda, I had ordered a miller lite. Then she came back and asked for my food order a 4^th time. The whole restaurant seemed disorganized. They are way too expensive, to have such poor service. They must have poor management, and even worse training. We spent over 200 dollars, on sub par food and over priced games. I would recommend just going to chuckie cheese.

Was nervous about our private party of 30 after reading all the bad reviews about slow service. But I came back to leave five stars since the staff did so well accommodating us. Our party went off without a hitch. Thanks.

Eesh! The manager of this place should be fired. There staff has not been trained properly or has turned over so many times that they are clueless.
Not only does every review say that the service is horrible, IT IS!
We got to the location around 4 pm with a party if 10. We called ahead but were told that they don’t take reservations.
We sat and waited for almost 30 minutes while the dining room was more than half empty. Well over 50 empty seats. We were told they were changing shifts.
Ordered and chicken tortilla soup came out with no tortillas, to which we were told that they were out and the manager went to the store to get some. Meals came out and no plain cheeseburger. They were nice enough to reorder and comp it. Sitting here writing this review as we are done eating and it still is not out! The staff is politely but obviously trying to get us out of our seats to seat the growing line, but we aren’t leaving till we get the burger.

What a bunch of party poopers. No wonder this native Minnesotan fled the state 3 years ago.
You look at the reviews for all similar places like Chuck e cheese, Dave and busters and Sky deck and they all get poor reviews.

Came to Dave & Busters for a good time with our daughter. We decided we would eat in the restaurant at around 2:00 p.m. This was a debacle from the start. The hostess had no people skills, she just grabbed enough menus and started walking away. Then after we were seated it took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were even there. Another 10 minutes to get a waiter. So we ordered everything right away because we rarely saw this guy. Spent most of his time on the other side. Had to ask multiple times for a spoon. The food is just ok and this is not worth the wait.

Took our hockey team for lunch in their party room. TERRIBLE AND I MEAN TERRIBLE service. Too big of a train wreck to even detail. Missed orders, wrong orders, slow service, manager called, finally sort of served. Then it took 4 staff including manager MORE time to separate the bill. Finally got the bill and they took off no discount for the terrible service and marginal food so I told her to go back and put a discount on there. A good manager would have put a discount on everyone’s bill and after the apologies to attempt to get us to ever go back there. STAY AWAY until they figure out service issues! The only reason I’m giving them 1 star is my mac and cheese was reasonably good.

Saturday night. Group of 45 of us. Knew we were coming. One server for all of us. Forgot multiple orders. Will not be back and would not suggest it to anyone. 1.5 hours still don’t have food.

Do not try to make a reservation with this establishment. They were 45 minutes late on our reservation (that we made 5 hours in advance) and assigned one poor guy (who will not see any tip beyond the already imposed gratuity) to handle 20 people. A good idea would have been to give us game cards to keep our minds off their shit service. But they didn’t!
I have worked in the service industry, I would not have been tipped for the bad management.

This place is fun for a date night. Food is pretty good I enjoyed my steak and my potatoes but the broccoli wasn’t fully cooked and my boyfriends burger was over cooked but as far as the fun and games it’s more of a once and a while fun when you’ve got some extra cash money goes quick when playing those games
