Mark Michael Diamond Designs

My fiancé Melissa worked with Kelly at Mark Michael Diamonds on a custom ring for me and it turned out to be perfectly unique to us! And when I say custom… I mean Melissa actually drew the design that she wanted (she’s an artist and a designer, so she wanted to make a ring that showed off HER style). Kelly helped her create the exact ring that she envisioned and it is truly unique to us.
They both decided to let ME pick out the diamond too! Melissa proposed using a wax cast of the ring, and then I got to go in and pick out the diamond, which was super exciting!
I ended up with a yellow-​green diamond which is so stunning– I didn’t want a typical clear one (although they have lots of beautiful clear ones too if that’s what you’re into) and Kelly worked really hard to find a diamond that suited me perfectly. It was such a cool experience, and I encourage anyone who is considering proposing to do involve your future partner in the process– it was so much fun.
Kelly was willing to look at other stones besides diamonds too, but ultimately diamonds were the strongest option and since we were able to find other colors, I went for it!
Best part is– we got a ring that was 100% custom and we felt so welcome there. For those of you looking for a place that will work with same-​sex couples– they are wonderful! I recommend asking for Kelly because we loved her!

Wow, first to review?! That’s very surprising! I would like to start by giving Kelly a special shout out for being extra patient and working with me to create the ring I wanted for my significant other. Not only did she go above and beyond but was really considerate about the fact that we lived in the west coast.
I initially contacted the customer service department to inquire about a ring that I saw. It was initially made for another customer and I knew that I did not wants he exact same one and I explained it in the email. Kelly replied and asked more information about the kind of ring I wanted, then we got the ball rolling. She sent ring sizes and pictures, carat sizes, and price quotes. We emailed back and forth and spoke on the phone for a bit. As soon as I found out our actual ring sizes she sent wax rings to help us figure out if it’s the right size.
After the sizes were established, Kelly got the rings started right away. Not too long after that, I would say less than 2 weeks, the rings were sent overnight to us. I had to start planning!
Last night, was when I asked my significant other if she would have me for the rest of her life and sure enough she said yes. We are really happy with how the rings turned out. Thank you Kelly and Mark Michael diamond design team for making it possible! I highly recommend this jeweler. The staff is great and will make sure that you have a positive experience.
