Can’t believe that I live so close and this is the first time I have been here in 5 years. We got the scotch eggs, fish and chips, and signature burger. The scotch eggs were delicious. The meat crust was nice and tender but still crunchy and the egg was cooked to perfection. The yolk didn’t have that blueish gray ring around it which was a great sign. Everything else was good too. The service was kind of slow but I will be back for happy hour to try the half off apps.

Stumbled in randomly awhile back for a first date(aaawwwe) and glad we did. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, solid taps. Service has always been great. Surprised at the 3 star rating, but haters gonna hate I suppose. Go here. Drink the nitro taps. Eat the food. Tip well. Be happy. Repeat.

My new favorite restaurant in Maple Grove. All the Irish pub classics are here — Guinness and Magners, scotch eggs, pub pretzels, fish and chips. And the best surprise on the menu is an outstanding Monte Cristo sandwich. Also, this is probably the best bet in Twin Cities Irish pubs if you have kids in tow. They even brought out a car seat sling for our baby.

Second time here. Steer clear of the new pork chop on the menu – overcooked and no taste. Rest of food menu is standard pub fare, nothing to come back for. Most meats are overcooked so go with pasta or fish and chips. If I go back it will be only for the beer.

Neat place! We were very satisfied and content with the restaurant’s ambiance and food. I personally love the Jameson burger and the chicken melt. Their tipsy bread pudding is absolutely scrumptious; it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. the service has to be worked on a little. Our server didn’t seem very courteous and available to accommodate our requests. Overall the venue deserves full 4 stars. We’ll be back again for the Sunday happy hour.

Loved the new pulled pork pancake appetizer. It has an Irish name I don’t remember. My standby Is the Claddah burger which never fails to satisfy. It tastes like they use really good beef. It would have been nice if the size of their side of seasonal veggies was at least the same size as their Cole slaw, which is also tasty. I did feel a bit jipped there. The tomato jam condiment is also very delish. Overall a nice pub tho some better lighting would be a plus, or offer flashlights to read the menu.

I have been here only once. The appetizers were delicious. I ordered the fried fish and its a huge serving and was fried to perfection. I do plan on returning.

After passing this place a few times, I finally decided to give it a try. I really liked the inside of the restaurant it was like half castle-half rustic lol. We sat in this room that had a book shelf decorated with some knick knacks and books, which was pretty cool. The atmosphere was just nice overall. The appetizers won me over. My family and I tried the Loaded Pub Chips and the Scotch Eggs. Both super good! We killed the Scotch Eggs. I loved how the egg yolk was a bit runny and the outside was really crunchy. Corned Beef and Cabbage — I only tried a bit of it, my brother really enjoyed it, but I’m not a big corned beef fan so I though it was just okay. Chicken, Bacon & Mushroom Vol Au Vent — This was pretty good! I wouldn’t order it on my own, but if someone ordered it again I would have a few bites. Stuffed Pork Chop — I ordered this one and the sauce that it came with was sooooo good! The stuffing was a good pair as well. The only complaint is that the pork chop was pretty dry =/wonder if that was just a one time thing, or if they always make it dry… Overall, I would go again but probably just order a bunch of appetizers since that seemed to be the winning area for me.

Charming and authentic. We have spent time in Ireland and feel that Claddagh’s really does capture the spirit of an Irish Pub. When you walk in, just to the right is a small library room that has two four tops(I think). If it’s available, we always ask to be seated there, and it’s like having a meal in your own beautiful wood-paneled library. It’s just lovely. I believe they mentioned you can reserve it for aprox 10 people, and we are planning on having a holiday gathering there next December. The food is delicious and every server is friendly and accommodating. We stick with our favorites: Scotch eggs, Irish stew and Shepard’s Pie because they are always done to perfection. It’s a great place to go when you want to chat and have a nice meal. In the winter, it’s the best kind of cosy atmosphere. They have a trivia night, and our attempts to go have always been thwarted by last minute home emergencies, but we’ll try until we get there!

This review is for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration and it was happenin’ in there as my boyfriend described it. There was a $ 5 cover per person which was not specified on their website which took us by surprise but we were set on having our St. Patty’s Day celebration at an Irish bar! And we didn’t want to drive anywhere else. It was packed upon our arrival and no tables were open but we got lucky and saw a group leaving in the back! We grabbed their tables before anyone else got a chance. And the waitress appeared pretty quickly. The fish n’ chips I ordered was warm and amazing and my boyfriend enjoyed his corn beef and cabbage dish. I opted against the green beer since it was only Bud Light or Miller Light and got the Big Ginger instead which is one of my favorite cocktails! The only con was that the music was really LOUD. We were shouting at each other the whole time. Overall the place was very lively, crowded, and had a great St. Patty’s Day vibe! If you live in the ‘burbs this is definitely a great place to come celebrate!

Walked in the Claddagh and were greeted by the staff right away. Staff was helpful and friendly. Ordered the Scoth eggs for our appetizer. They were good. Wife ordered the fish sandwich. She said it was very good. I ordered the Gaelic chicken and it was very good. When I checked into Unilocal,Unilocal gave a $ 4 off coupon for an Irish coffee. So, I got one and that was very good. We’ve eaten here before and we haven’t had a bad experience yet. I would recommend this restaurant if you like Irish food.

After a long time away I thought I would try the Claddagh again. My mom was hungry for corned beef and cabbage. This was the only place with it on the menu. We ordered the corned beef & cabbage as well as the Guinness Mac and cheese for myself. For appetizers we ordered the corned beef and cabbage egg rolls. The problems started when the meal came out before the appetizers. I commented on that and the offer was to go place them under the lights. Not acceptable, the last thing I want is food that has been sitting for 20 minutes. We kept the food and shortly the manager brought out the egg rolls with her apology. She did take half off the rolls. The better solution would have been to immediately take the plates away, wait until the appetizer arrived, then bring out freshly prepared meals. The Mac and cheese was quite tasty but the corned beef and cabbage was cold. The restaurant was not at all busy. Unfortunately this is all too often what I see in casual dining restaurants. The focus on quality in all aspects is missing. The staff was friendly but scattered and didn’t take ownership of the experience the manager was very nice and I did appreciate her taking half off. That being said, I will probably not be back anytime soon.

Excellent hearty Irish staples. Typical décor with a small dance floor/live band. The 3-star review is in part due to the normal«Irish pub food, beer, décor». The Shepard’s Pie was superb. The soups were a bit thick, although flavorful. A side of chicken wings was ok.

When going to write my review I am a little surprised by the lack of love this place has been getting. I went with the husband and the daughter and we all really enjoyed many things about this place. I will say it was very busy when we got there on a Saturday night around 7 pm and so yes we had to wait about 45 – 60 minutes for a table. I like the décor here and how they have many little nooks for dining it is busy and so yes there is some noise but because they have wood floors and lots of nooks it is not just the humming noise of people and you can actually carry on a conversation at your table. The drinks are on the expensive side so unless you are partaking of happy hour you will spend money if you just sit and drink. Wine was approx 9.00 a glass and little gingers were around 6.00. The prices for the food were average and we felt satisfied and that is was all very good. We got the Claddagh burger which has an egg on it — brussell sprouts were delicious and fish and chips – the fish was terrific. The carrot cake was a winner — very large very affordable and absolutely delicious. All three of us got more than enough… It’s all the way out in Maple Grove which will limit my trips there but I really want to go on a Monday night because it is buy one fish and chips get one free. The staff were all very nice but we suspected they all try to pull off a fake Irish accent!

More refined restaurant than it is a pub. Granted the food is good and the drinks are tasty, this is more of a place you go to eat with mom or on a date. Doesn’t necessarily ooze pub. This is mainly because pubs have a huge focus on drinks and here it is mainly the menu. Add that it is a pricey little suburbia place and you have yourself a place you only go for random dates.

The only place with a good Jameson burger. Cozy atmosphere. Can be drafty in the winter. Good service and fun for St Patrick’s Day.

We enjoyed it. My wife and I both ordered the fish and chips and they were the best we ever had. Crispy light batter and nice and flaky on the inside. The tarter sauce was also great. I did ask for a drink menu and the server said it was all there on the main menu, but if you look at their website, it shows a huge drink menu, it would be nice if the restaurant had that as well. Overall, good, we would come back.

Ah the luck of the Irish! Was here for an early dinner with a couple of family members. Been to this pub a few times, today was another. Review it. Thumbs up: –Meets the ambience of the pubs, big, décor, semi private rooms. –C.S. is decent here –some veggie options, try the veggie burger it’s the best thing on menu from what I had –Ciders are good here –easy parking, good location Thumbs down: –fabric chairs, ewww why, can we say bed bugs?! –sticky sticky tables every time –the food is less then drool worthy, the wings dry, the shrimp soggy, salad under heating lamp and big onions for burgers not salad, the mac and cheese from a box taste, the house soup potatoes and cabbage, so sad. –It was stinky, humid inside the restaurant on a decent weather day Back for cider and pub experience.

Stopped by to meet the hubby for a quick HH today and to watch the last part of the USA game. It wasn’t too crowded inside, they had turned most of the chairs to face the TV which was awesome so you don’t have to strain and watch the TV. Server was very nice, he came over and took my drink order right away. I must say their HH is amazing! $ 2.50 domestic and house cocktails, $ 4 draft and import, $ 4 house wines and ½ off apps. Not very often do I get an amazing deal on Guiness it see it as part of a HH(thank you Irish pubs!) We ordered the Guiness pretzel and cheese sticks, Scotch eggs, and shared the fish and chips. Fish was really good, huge piece that fed the both of us, almost as good as my favorite Anchor fish & chips in Minneapolis. Server checked on us often and made sure we got our additional drinks in before HH ended at 6pm. Great location nearby our house, need to come back and try the Monte Cristo and the Irish coffee drink they are know for. Parking is a bit tricky if you are not used to this area. Main parking for the restaurant is behind and the turn was earlier than I expected since they where on the corner of the strip.

Last night, a group of 14 friends had dinner at Claddagh Irish Pub. While I have been here many times, it was the first time for most of the group. What I like about Claddagh is how it brings me back to Ireland. You can’t go wrong with the fish and chips, and I love the lamb stew. They have a new beef stew that I ordered, and it was very much worth the price. Huge chucks of beef and good flavors. My first bite was salty, but the rest was fine. Top it off with a Guinness(or two!) and it was a perfect meal. The website said there was live music on Thursdays, but somewhere around 8:00PM, they had live music. Typically our group doesn’t like live/loud music because we want to talk, but the music added to the atmosphere, it really was an enhancement instead of a hindrance. With a group our size, it’s tough on the server(s). But Michelle soared when it came to customer service! She has restored my faith(and last few restaurant visits) that customer service is not dead, and you can be an efficient and friendly server. Michelle joked around with us, got our orders(and bills) correct, and was so pleasant. It was a fun night!
