less and less variety/choices than in the past. day to day, not many changes on choices(menu) available. Need new menu items to spark interest. For example, Italian is always pizza, spaghetti and sauce, one table just contains two or three bread choices. some heating areas are not even used anymore. number of main entrée choices has declined. more and more areas are just reserved for vegetables, sauces, etc. that use to contain an entrée choice.

The food was somewhat mediocre there could have been more variety with the buffet however they were out of ice cream at the ice cream machine. The ice cream machine was filthy. The whole restaurant could be a little more cleaner and over priced for such little variety.

This was by far the most disgusting restaurant I have ever been to. Toilet paper covered with feces on the bathroom floor, and garbage everywhere. Floor through out restaurant was covered with water and food. The drink station looked like it hadn’t been wiped down all day. Booths and tables were dingy, faded and out of style. The staff was constantly screwing around throwing food at each other, yelling and being very obnoxious. I have never seen anything like that in my life. The«manager» was no where to be seen and was in his office the whole time we were there. I can’t believe he wasn’t walking around and cleaning the filthy restaurant. By far the most horrible part of our experience was the food. Salad bar was filthy food all over the sides. Lettuce was brown and wilted. They had no variety of toppings I saw at least 4 of the same things through out the bar. Soup area had spills and soup all over counter and handles. The taco bar was bare, crusty meat hard cheese, we skipped it. Skin on fried chicken was rubbery, mashed potatoes were instant, gravy tasted like it came out of a jar. Macaroni and Cheese tasted like vomit. Chicken Pot Pie’s had been sitting there for so long the sauce and cooked out of it and it was filled with brown veggies and gray fatty/rubbery chicken. We were very upset the ice cream machine didn’t work. That was always myself and my husband’s favorite part of eating here when we were younger. Needless to say we explained our experience to the manager and he said he will«buy our dinner». I said«we didn’t eat anything, we’re going somewhere else to eat.» We got our money back and left, before getting into the car I felt extremely ill and vomited next to my car. Old Country Buffet Corp. You should be ashamed to have this location even open. I will definitely be warning my friends and family about your restaurants. This is so unacceptable.

Went here on a Saturday for lunch. The food was mediocre, choices were poor. The whole place smelled like dirty carpet or something. I’ve been to other OCB’s that were outstanding, but after being at this one, I don’t know if I could ever go to one again.

The food was barely edible. The food had been sitting so long, that is was hard and dry. We arrived at the beginning part of the dinner time and figured the food would be at least edible. This was the worst experience I have had at an OCB. I am not a fan of OCB or buffets. The staff was nice, but it is sad that there really isnt a decent OCB in the Twin Cities.

I’ve been going here for a long time and have had experiences from genre at to terrible. About two weeks ago a friend a I stopped on a Friday night. It was busy which usually isn’t an issue, but that night almost all food was out and not restocked. We only had about one hour and in that time, we never saw the steak dishes come out, chicken pan was empty from when we got there to when we left, no desert, no cookies, ice cream didn’t work… We sat where we could not only see the buffet tables, but hear the people complaining to staff and others. The sign prominently displayed that we will make it right if you aren’t happy… Complaints to the manager were met with«we are busy and doing the best we can» and an email went unacknowledged. Not going back for a while.

We went Christmas day. The food was good, the people working there were nice. We would go again to this old country buffet.

As with our last trip here, we left satisfied. Daphnie again wowed us with her outstanding customer service. She even came running outside to make sure Lenny didn’t leave his treasured Boston Latin School hat behind. And, the candied yams are AMAZING!

They got their crap together, now with their new renovation and new CEO. The food is fresher, in cute little dishes, easier to serve up, the staff is still very pleasant. I just wish the prices were a little lower. I went on a weekend and used my birthday free meal coupon. Price was still $ 22 and I only paid for my teenage son and 2 drinks and tax. That seems a bit steep. We both had 1.5 plates of food and a cookie for dessert, nowhere near the cost of the meal. Daphne got my last $ 3 in my purse, as she’s the best at that whole store. They are lucky to have her.

Out of all the OCBs in the Twin Cities, this is the«best» one. The employees at this location are way nicer than the one in Crystal. Sorry, 2 stars is the best I could do. They do a little bit better here than the other locations, but what do you expect with low wage teenagers running the place?

Pleasantly surprised with this place. We stopped before a Vikings game and it was decently crowded without being crazy. Not a lot of unattended kids running around that you usually get with buffets, so that was a fun bonus. Buffets can be VERY hit or miss. This place was very solid. The food was always hot, always well stocked. It tasted pretty good too. A LOT of options, probably the biggest buffet I’ve seen in a long time. The fact they were able to keep up with almost all of these options the entire time and producing quality food, was great. Excellent beverage selection as well, with Milk, Juices, two fountain soda machines with different options, coffee, tea. One of the ice cream machines was broken, so that was a bummer. The employees were also nice as well. The man at the front desk was very polite and professional. The host/server(I dont know what they are called at buffets…) at our table, Mike, was polite and hard working, kept our table clean and made sure we were all set. He even closed the blinds as they were bothering our toddler. My wife was sort of wandering around the omelet area, looking at options and the Manager took the step and thought she wanted an omelet(she didn’t really…), and got an employee to man the station and make one for her. This place is a very solid location for good variety and fair prices.

This place is D I S G U S T I N G ! Seriously. Look at the pictures I posted. They don’t even do the situation justice. I was there for 45 minutes or so and NONE of this got cleaned up. This was despite the girls at the dish/garbage station saying they were overstaffed for the night and she hoped she’d be cut early. The only reason I ended up here was because I just moved and everything was packed. I didn’t want to go to a «real» restaurant alone and I didn’t want fast food. Man, I really regret stepping foot into this dump. I’ll never visit again.

Hungry all day… when I got home I asked my husband to go to this place. I, I had interested in this place but haven’t had chance to go. Today is the day. And not to dissapointed at all. American staples. Good selections and tasty. The place was clean. The place was pack, different ages, ethnicity, ahh feel like I was in the big giant room with all people there like a family. Waiters were prompt. Definitely will be back when I feel I want to eat different type of American food with one single price. Who can beat that? Jalapeño corn bread, chili bean soup, breaded shrimp, crab salad, fried chicken, bread pudding, cherry pie, orange chicken, and many more.
