get the special cheese fondue, salad and chocolate fondue.21.95 also the drinks were good. recommend the ying yang martini 9.95 and the love martini. 6.95 service was great. on the pricey side for what you get but you can order entrees too. we tried the jumbo shrimp with a corm dressing.

Expensive for what you get– the Crave Combo is a cheese fondue, a salad, and a chocolate fondue for $ 21.95/ person. Portion of cheese and vegetables and fruit were seriously skimpy– 2 baby carrots cut into 3 pieces each and 2 cauliflower and broccoli florets for 2 people ½ of Granny Smith apple and 8 grapes and maybe 1 roll worth of «artisan» bread and barely enough cheese to dip them into. The salads were small as well. Everything tasted good and the dessert fondue was a decent size but for $ 50 plus tip for 2 people for lunch it really was not worth it.

Very expensive for very small portions. Not worth the experience at all. Bring back the four course combo or drop the price for the tapas plates down to five dollars rather than the ridiculous ten to twelve dollars for each. It adds up quickly and I feel as though the new menu is designed to pull as much money out of the customer as possible. Staff was very nice, but I won’t be returning.

I love the melting pot, and this location doesn’t disappoint! A group of us went for dinner last night and everything from the service to food didn’t disappoint. We did the sampler and added the fondone and it was great. What a wonderful idea for those that don’t want to handle raw food. The wine selection was great– our server Jessica made some great suggestions and the food was wonderful– u can’t go wrong with cheese and chocolate! And the best part was they didn’t rush you it’s a great place to catch up with people over dinner– we will def be back!

I’m not getting all the negative reviews, though I was only here for the first time last night. I used to go to the Wilmington location semi frequently when I lived in Delaware. I remember the Delaware location as being a little different. I was kinda disappointed I couldn’t get a variety of entrees, I had to pick just one. Though the kids menu had that option, so I guess I should’ve ordered off of there! Lol. Other than that, this place is delicious. The staff was friendly and very patient with our party(which included 2 young children). Make sure you save room for desert! I rarely eat deserts, but the chocolate fondue here is to die for. A great variety as well!

I have been to other Melting Pot(Altantic City, Viginia Beach, Philly, etc), I was rather disappointed at the food selection at this location, it was better when it was in Philly. The service was good, yet, that doesn’t compensate for the poor selection. They didn’t have the 4 Course Experience, and the options they had with the very mediocre Crave Combo was subpar, Will not be returning and I cant recommend this establishment.

First of all, I hate eating out. Most of the time you’re paying extra just so someone can bring you your food, and this is especially true in chain restaurants. The staff is ok I guess if you’re into that corny atmosphere where people pretend to care. But if you’re like me and only care about what you came for(the food) then really save the time and money and don’t come here. The menu is confusing. They should just have prices for each cheese pot and dipping items. We got the french onion and the plain cheddar. The french onion was ok, although it was panera bread quality type food, and the cheddar just plain sucked. Cheese Whiz would’ve been a better improvement. The bread tasted like it was a couple days old. I seriously got a roll from a deli earlier in the day that was fresher. Get fresh bread and warm it up. The veggies weren’t anything special and the fruit was ok. Next off is salads, I cant really complain about the salad, I liked the california though it was a bit on the small side. The fondont’s we got(so clever)… so disappointing. We got the tuna and teriyaki beef with the lemon, lobster, and another dipping sauce that just tasted like gravy. The beef came already smothered in some asian sauce that was better that the dipping sauces, and you only get 6 bites with a crappy little salad next to it. I just had a salad why are you giving me another one? Probably just to make it look like more food. The tuna was also ok but also just a couple little bites. Onto dessert we got two chocolate fondues with two plates of assorted treats. It’s about 5 slices of banana, 5 strawberry halves, 2−1cm cubed brownies, 2−1cm cubed poundcake, 4 covered marshmellows, a rice crispy treat, and maybe something else. I liked the chocolates and the treats, but I think it’s kinda hard to mess that up. Anyway I have never wrote a review on anything and I usually just chalk up bad experiences and don’t go to places I dislike but I feel like I have a right to complain after getting the bill of almost $ 150. Really people you can go to nicer places with better, fresher food and get more of it for cheaper.

I was very hesitant after reading all these horrible reviews. We had a reservation and had to wait about 6 minutes to be seated. It took a few minutes for our server to come. Just a tiny bit slow, but no problem. She brought our drinks and all courses out fast. She was also very kind and explained how the Melting Pot works. The prices were a little steep, I didn’t like how they charged per person for fondue. We just shared the portion for one(it was my boyfriend and I). The food was good, the entrees were a little small, so maybe order 2 per person if you’re starving. But with the fondue appetizer, salad, entrée, and dessert we were full. We spent $ 91 for two of us: two appetizers, bread and fondue, two entrees, two strawberry lemonades, one dessert, and 6 chocolate covered strawberries to take home. Everyone else who wrote the reviews were far too critical. Stop complaining about«slow service» and«drafty seating» and cook your own dinner at home! It was a little drafty, but it’s 18 out and sometimes wind escapes through doors :) So ignore the nay-sayers and go here! Same quality as another Melting Pot I’ve visited :)

Hi Sunman here with Reiki Gal. We have been to three Melting Pots hoping to get a good experience at one of them… that never happened. I guess I am spoiled in that I have friends who live in Zurich, Switzerland. I have had authentic fondue and the Melting Pot is NOTIT! I make a better fondue at home with my ceramic fondue pot(caquelon) and you can too. Here is my authentic Swiss recipe that I helped make at my Swiss friends house in Zurich: In a heavy sauce pan, rub the interior of the pan with a raw garlic clove. Melt 8oz grated emmenthaler cheese and 8oz gruyère cheeses over low heat in the pan, stirring constantly. I like blue chleese and if you do, add 2 to 4 oz. of St. Agur blue from France, or your favorite soft blue. Melt and keep stirring. You may wish to add a splash of white wine. Serve with 1 inch cubes of French bread.(serves 4 to 6 people) Buy some wooden skewers or fondue forks to skewer the bread for dipping in the cheese. Best served on your communal table(use a heat pad to protect the table) with a group of friends. Give the traditional toast…“Prost” by holding up your wine glass while looking your guest(s) straight in the eye. Swiss tradition is that if you drop your bread cube into the pot you must kiss the person to your left. Enjoy!!! I bet no one at Melting Pot told you these things and Swiss traditions!!! They have never been to Switzerland!!! Melting pot restaurants are overpriced, noisy, and low quality. Make it at home and buy a nice bottle of red wine and save money. Enjoy!!! Prost!!!

The parking was awful, not enough spots. Was looking forward to going here but the quality and portion size was horrible and the food was way overpriced. This is more like a fad, try it once kind of thing. Will not return.

3.5 I booked a 12 person table for a birthday. My friends loved their food and service, but there were a few hiccups that the restaurant had. I’d gladly return though. Pros: –Customer Service– greeted by management and treated great throughout my entire visit. Staff was well trained/organized. –You will leave stuffed! Cheese, meat and dessert were all delish with the various dips, batters and sides. Yummy, possibly even addictive! –Food was fun and a conversational experience. Cooking at the table created a lot of laughs. –Bar area looked casual and hip –Our Saturday afternoon reservation were 100% ready for us –Good idea for celebrations(make a reservation) Cons: –Menu confusion– melting pot/fondue newbies at my table were clueless even after our servers explained it. I got it, but my table of 11 were confused with what to order. A few never did fondue. –FonDONE(pre cooked meat) entrée potion was small –Skip the $ 25 add on for flowers for a guest, not so fresh. Go for balloons if you want an extra for a guest of honor. You could just bring your own. –The website/Google takes you to the old location in Philly. A few friends were a little late because of it. The manager did offer to compensate bridge toll and we didn’t even ask her. That was a plus to the glitch and she did say it was being fixed. We didn’t even really complain about it so it was nice she was concerned. –Uncomfortable seats for large parties. My back hurt because of the way the L-shaped booth we had. Tips: –Best tip is to come early to skip the crowded dinner rush on the weekend. It was much easier and didn’t feel rushed. –Skip the salad. Believe me, it’s A LOT of food. –For the meat fondue, choose regular meat fondue over the fonDone. –Choose the wine flights. It comes with a glass for every selection(cheese, salad, meat and chocolate). Totally worth the $ 14.

I am pretty familiar with TMP having visited in DE and PA and was pretty excited to see one pop up so close. Pros: Reservations were easy to get, no wait when we arrived, staff was friendly. Cons: Table was too small and uncomfortably crowded for our party of 7. Waitress was MIA for long periods, so orders took forever and dinner took 2.5 hours. I preferred the old menu, but I appreciate as a franchise they have no control over that. Also they no longer prepare your fondue tableside, so they skimped quite a bit on the cheese — it was very watery. It took a while to alert the waitress and then another while to get the replacement. I will give it another chance, as maybe they were having an off night, but our first experience was a little disappointing.

After dining in the Maple Shade location last night we felt it was imperative to share our feedback from the beginning to the end. It started in the bar, taking 20 minutes to get a couple glasses of wine while we waited for our table. there were 3 bartenders and 4 patrons and it took more than 10 minutes to even be greeted by one of the 3 bartenders. We then eventually sat down to be told by our waitress she’d be right with us not once but two times, after 20 minutes she finally got to us. her attitude from start to finish was HORRIBLE! Colleen shouldn’t be working with the public let alone serving. She acted as though we were a bother being there. This being our FIRST experience at this location and she was well aware that it was yet it didn’t seem to affect her in explaining the process. She didn’t refill or offer to get any beverages we had to ask for everything and received a snarky response. When I asked for another glass of wine she responded with«well I don’t know what your drinking» very inappropriate. Moving on when I asked if my daughter could get plain sirloin not marinated in teriyaki she gave a very stern /rude NO — no suggestions for substitutions just NO which I find extremely hard to believe. Everything from start to finish was HORRIBLE minus the greeting, Kim was the only cordial interaction we had. after 2 hours of horrid service, no table touching no offer of coffee tea water anything while waiting a ½ hour since placing our dessert order, extremely ill explained menu and not even a good meal in fact it was the worst meal, we can’t even say we had a good meal but the service was bad. it was all just BAD! eventually we decided we had enough and expressed our disappointment at which Kim tried her best to remedy a horrible experience but it was too far gone. Colleen should be fired, I served for many years and that is the kind of waitstaff that will crumble a business. we won’t be giving any positive feedback to anyone regarding this establishment in fact well be directing them to steer clear. We tried making a fun night out for our daughters which just resulted in the WORST dining experience we’ve ever had.

We were very excited that a Melting Pot recently opened in south Jersey. We had friends visiting from out of town and we took our kids to burn off some energy at SkyZone and decided to have an early dinner at TMP, since it is right in the same parking lot. At first, our large party(4 kids, 4 adults, and a baby) was seated at two tables that were far enough apart to make easy conversation uncomfortable. We asked about seating that would accommodate us better and were initially told there was nothing available. However, the owner came by and showed us two other tables that worked much better for our party. So that was a big plus right off the bat. Our early dinner went pretty smoothly after that. Until it was time to order dessert, when the waitress spilled an entire glass of ice water on me while I was nursing my 1 month old baby, soaking us both. I understand that accidents happen, but an appropriate response to such an accident might be «oh my goodness, I am so sorry!» not«how did that happen?» While she did bring towels to help clean up, she never actually apologized or asked if I or the baby were okay, and she mostly avoided us after that. She also didn’t let the owner know about the accident, so when the owner came by and asked how things were and my husband told her what had happened, she was completely surprised. BUT, she apologized and came back over and made things right with us, ending our experience on a very positive note. Ice cold bath aside, the cheese and chocolate fondues were delicious, the salads were great, and the kids meals were good, too.

We went to the melting pot today for my little sisters birthday. We made reservations for 11:30 assuming they wouldn’t be busy when they opened. We were seated pretty quickly and the hostess was very helpful and friendly. Our waiters name was Ryan C. He was also helpful and friendly. Are only issue was how long it took for an order of chicken fingers. They literally took 45 minutes. We had to ask about them three times. My mom and I had been finished our lunch for a good half hour before the chicken finally came. Although my mom was annoyed, things like this don’t bother me too much. Our waiter apologized for the long wait. Apparently the cooks never even started the chicken. Anyway, the manager paid for our chocolate dessert to apologize for the long wait, and our waiter gave us a chocolate discount for next time. I thought that was above and beyond a nice gesture. So it definitely out weighed the super long wait for chicken nuggets.

Went there recently for a birthday dinner. I definitely recommend calling a reserving a private table. The experience will be more enjoyable and not as loud. Other tables reminded me of the cheesecake factory. Servers were ok. not as attentive though. I gave four stars because I did like the overall experience and I was fortunate enough to have known about reserving a private table. Also the décor of the place was very nice. Food was good. Chose the original fondue style. Definitely pricey I would consider it a $$$ establishment rather then a $$ that some sites listed it as being. I do recommend the ying and yang martini.

I have to say wasn’t impressed with this location. There was no wait, which was great. The waitress was not personable and the wait for the food was a really long time. Not the best choice for me on my 30th Birthday. Maybe better service next time !

Initially, I didn’t know what to expect from TMP(considering that I’ve never been to any before). However, if you’re looking for a fun eating experience, this is the place to go! Everything from the service to the food was exceptional. The best part was that you had the option of cooking your own food(which is slightly cheaper than having them prepare it). Yes, this restaurant can be a little expensive. But the experience was worth it all! TIP: Order the combo… it’s amazing.

This was my first time to an establishment such as The Melting Pot… I’m sold! It was a Friday night and there was hardly a wait for a table and the place was packed. They kept things moving nicely. Our server Jim was friendly and informative guiding us through the menu and answering my questions without making me feel like a moron… the place is gorgeous and unpretentious… we will definitely be back. Would be a fun place for a party or get together.

Welcome Home, Honey. It’s been too long and now you are in my backyard. Yes, I love the TMP that much! As usual you must must must have the cheese and chocolate fondue. They have a crave option for $ 21.95 with your choice of cheese, salad, and chocolate! You can choose to add on entrée items or not. This location is showcasing a new option that I feel many people will appreciate — the FonDone. The Fondone option designates the cooking to the chef just like a tradition restaurant. I on the other hand, love the classic fondue option where you cook your own. All of the prep has been done for you and it gives you a break to digest the cheese fondue and salad. At the center city location they had combos for the entrée selection, now they are served tapas style. Our wonderful, upbeat, and engaging server, Kay, suggested 2 – 3 per person. We chose 2 per person and as always we were beyond full. Pro tip: use your phone timer to keep track of the cooking times. I suggest 4 minutes for the chicken and steak and 2.5−3 minutes for shrimp. Dump your veggies in before starting to cook the raw items, they take the longest. My favorite chocolate fondue is the flaming turtle with milk chocolate, caramel, and candied pecans. I usually go with an ipa and the ying yang martini but having just gotten out of bikram yoga, I needed something lighter so i chose the classic wine flight which came with 4 — 3 ounce servings paired perfectly with each course. I may never have the chance to enjoy my dearest ying yang martini with this as an option. I stole a sip of the deep south tea and it was very tropical(in a good way). Hey everyone they have Spellbound IPA! It was nice to see familiar faces from the center city location. Especially Eric our favorite bartender and one of the main reasons we used to visit many Monday nights. Consider yourself lucky if you have the pleasure of being served by him. He describes each course in a storyteller voice! As always, each staff member we interacted with was beyond attentive and pleasant. This new location is huge and well appointed. We stole a glimpse of the bar and it is beautiful aand stocked with many tv’s! I cannot wait to come back!
