I haven’t been in this store except to make keys, however, Spring/Summer came and I found myself wanting to check out the garden section. HOLYCATS!!! What a great store, where have I been??? Lovely employees, kind, courteous, helpful-everything that Home Depot isn’t. I just told my sister«this is rapidly becoming my favorite store!» They have everything and then some, maybe not ‘rock bottom’ prices but when you live in Maple Valley you spend more in gas than the money you save driving somewhere the prices might be a few cents cheaper — remember you get what you pay for and I would rather pay for great customer service!

Came here to make some copy of keys for my brother and I had a good experience. The guy who helped me was really nice and helped me picked out cool keys.

I hate shopping here. I have tried so many times to like this place, but every time i leave I say to myself I would rather drive further and possibly even spend more at Home Depot, if that is the case, to not have to deal with Johnson’s asshole employees. Customer service is exactly NOT that if you go there. The only nice person who works there is the sweet blonde women who works in paint. Other than that, just go to Home Depot unless you want to be angered by rude people.

Great inventory, great customer service. If you are going to need help picking out an item, go to Johnsons as their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always on hand. The home depot down the street will be cheaper, but don’t expect the staff to be available or very helpful.

Great local hardware store! Hands down better service if not overall volume or selection compared to the Home Depot. Every time I have gone in I have received great service, advice and yes even good prices. Rarely do I go elsewhere since living in the neighborhood.

This place is so overwhelming. Spent 20 minutes just taking a lap around the store to see everything they have. I don’t think they missed a thing. Paint, flooring, cables, auto care, patio furniture, a huge garden department, wood… I think they have every home remodeling product available. The aisles are cram packed full from the floor all the way to the top of the displays. I didn’t see a single empty spot in the entire store besides the walkways. Quick and convenient, located in 4 Corners across the street from Fred Meyer. Very large store, pretty new. Big parking lot, no issue finding a spot. They have free popcorn when you walk in the door, yay! My only two issues with this place: 1. Customer service. I know I’m young and I don’t look like the typical customer in a hardware store… buttttt I just bought a house and I was in looking at buying a TON of stuff for the place, as my boyfriend and I plan on gutting and remodeling the house top to bottom. So. Just because I am young, don’t look over me to talk to the older gentleman who looks like he is there for business. I am too. I still work hard and make my money, and I was looking to spend it here. 2. PRICES. They are sooooooo high! Very expensive for my taste — definitely would suggest heading down to Home Depot or even Fred Meyer for some of the basic stuff you need.

Nice local hardware store that stocked with the basics. They do have a very good selection of screws and bolts. Lumber is very limited. The staff usually friendly and helpful. Prices are a little bit higher than the big hardware store, but I will take it for the convenience. Also, I am happy to support local businesses. This is my go to store for basic hardware needs.

Service is way better than the nearby box stores, they typically have everything I need, and the people are always friendly. I never have trouble finding help if I need it, so I’m super happy to support the local folks.

It’s amazing what this stores carries! You can find almost anything here and the staff truly go out of their way to help. If you need help in the garden center, Doug know everything! Definitely pricier than other home/hardware stores, but sometimes absolutely worth it!

I have to increase my review but this is based solely on the lovely ladies at the paint counter. Two summers ago we bought some deck stain and supplies at Johnsons, so this summer when we need to re-stain in, I reluctantly went back for more. The lady who helped me was so helpful and friendly. She walked me all the way back to the electrical tape when I remembered that I needed some. Thank you lovely ladies for your help and attention!

Amazing service! After Home Depot disappointing me time and time again this weekend and not seem to want my money or my business, I went to Johnson’s instead. They want my business from here on out.

It is always great to support a local business! Johnson’s(formerly the Do it Center) has people who can help you with even the most mundane purchases. They have all sorts of hardware to meet any do it yourself needs. If they don’t have it they can direct you to it, or order it. They are knowledgable and will answer questions for routine or even non-routine household repairs.

New location is a much bigger space and things are less cramped and cluttered feeling. Easily the best hardware and fasteners selection around. I take one star away because the only thing that was hard to find was a person on the floor to seek out some bits.
