We went back after our first visit to get some carry out. It was dinner, so it was twice as expensive, and the food was not as good at all — it didn’t even taste the same. Not a bad value for lunch, but to pay the dinner and get food that wasn’t as delicious is obviously not ideal.

Love this place. Takeout is good, but prefer eating in because the food tastes better when it’s fresh. Favorites are sweet and sour chicken, mongolian beef, house lo mein, egg flower soup(not good for takeout) and wontons.

We’ve been getting take out from Rice Garden about twice a month for years. We’ve never been disappointed. True, it’s not quite the same as getting Chinese from the International District but for Maple Valley, it’s the best. We always order the General Tso’s Chicken, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Vegetable Chow Mein, the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops(delicious and garlicky!) and the Salt and Pepper Tofu. Every few months, we order lunch for our employees from Rice Garden and they love it. Very good food and a great value(the portions are huge).

The food here is pretty good. It’s not the best but it is above average. There is another restaurant near here that I think has a little more flavor, but the beauty of Rice Garden is service. The food is a «B», but the service is an «A». The short of the story is with all the lumps we take on a daily basis, we all crave on some level to be taken care of, served and you will leave RG feeling like you have been served. Good Food, from Great People!

A-OK. Service is good, but food is not so great. Not much of the flavors.

After reading the reviews I had really high hopes for this place, what a let down. Ordered the Generals Tso’s chicken, and they claimed it was going to be spicy, just fine with me, but not only wasn’t it spicy, it had NO taste what so ever. The texture of the«chicken» was what I imagine used tires would taste like. Truly one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. Also had the the Pork Fried Rice, and it had the consistency and flavor of wallpaper paste. Just no flavor at all. Horrible. On the menu they advertised they don’t use MSG, but with the total lack of any flavor in the dishes I sampled, I wouldn’t mind a little MSG. I’ll never be back.
