Shooting Star Event Gardens

I got married here this past weekend and everything went by so smoothly. This venue is great because the venue cost includes a tent (with lights already on the tent), chairs and tables. The venue in turn also sets up the chairs and tables for you so you don’t have to.
We looked at lots of venues and this one by far gives you the largest time frame to set up and have your party (10 hours). This time is by far larger than a lot of the other venues and was essential in my choice. When we arrived to set up at noon (ceremony beginning at 4PM), all the tables were already set up and most of the chairs were setup as well.
One of the previous review mentions the music volume, however state law requires that your music be below a certain point. At no point did I feel as though the music was too low during my reception and in fact any louder and I feel it would detract from people’s ability to talk to each other.
The garden is beautifully managed and Mary is there during the entire event to assist if you need her, to offer advise and to help out when needed. She even let us drop off some items and store ice /​wine /​drinks in one of her fridges the day prior to the wedding, so we had fewer things to worry about the day of the wedding itself.
I got so many compliments from my guests about this venue and the amazing gardens! Would recommend to anybody who is thinking about having an outdoor wedding.

I assisted with my niece’s wedding at Shooting Star Gardens on Saturday. Wow! The venue was gorgeous! Marylou was very easy (and fun) to work with. She met us at our cars for the rehearsal with umbrellas (pouring rain!). She set up the venue and made changes as were requested. During the ceremony and reception, she was attentive ensuring that the guests were having a great time and that the bride and groom’s expectations for a fantastic day were met. She abided by the contract that the bride and groom had signed (which included decibel levels for the DJ, set up and clean up times).
I would highly recommend this venue for an outdoor wedding!

My sister in law had her wedding here and the lady who ran the place was nuts. We had little time to setup because the owner said we where not allowed to setup till noon, than she kept asking our relatives to park cars.
After the ceremony we had to pick up our chairs and place them at our tables, than when the music started she had a decibel meter and she kept making the DJ turn the music down. She made the bar tender ID people and told them that only they are allowed to give drinks. Than she tried to shut us down an hour early. After the night was over she than again asked people to take there chairs to the area where she stores them.
This was the WORST VENUE EVER! Please save your money and go somewhere else.
