I have tried this place twice and both times were bad. Walking in, it looks like blockbuster moved out and they came into this empty space and put in a bar, tables and games. Maybe they ran out of money? The first time I went there the service was bad and the food was awful! I ordered wings because I love wings at a bar! These looked like they took frozen wings, put them in the microwave and poured some hot sauce on them, they were still bloody, they were awful! They knew I was not satisfied because I spit it out and didn’t touch it again and they didn’t offer anything or ask why I didn’t eat it. The second time I couldn’t find a clean table to sit at, the place looked and felt dirty,(so do the people who were there). I walked out.

Thought I’d reviewed this place back in December but couldn’t find it so here goes. Last night was our second visit but could be our last. The first visit I remember being good — good service, drinks AND good food. However, last night was horrible. We arrived around 7 pm(from another nearby establishment) and they were moderately busy but by no means packed. We sat down and were greeted fairly quickly and brought water right away. We placed our food order(we both wanted the black & Bleu burger) and waited. And waited. And waited some more. I had actually set a countdown timer on my phone for 5 minutes, at which time we were going to walk out. The waitress came over about 2 minutes into that timer and apologized for the delay(during which time we’d also been trying to get her attention for a drink). She indicated it’d be just a few more minutes for our burgers and got us the drink right away. The burgers took 5 more minutes to come out — did they forget?! — and for some reason we both thought they tasted seafood-y. Kinda gross. When she brought the check, the waitress again apologized for the delay but apparently they weren’t sorry enough to take any off our bill. Yeah, wanted to like it because it’s close to home but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Finally made it back there twice this week, TV’s fixed, sports on, I have to agree Angel on days is a really good bartender and so is Rachel on nights. What happened to the kitchen? There is nothing fresh anymore and when I asked another customer what happened she said the manager got rid of all the fresh food and brought in all frozen like he did at his last bar and he has run off all of his good cooks. I was hungry so I ordered a burger and fries cause its hard to mess that up, well they messed it up. Drinks are still at 13 coins prices(highest in town) I probably will go back because I like the bartenders and the customers, I just won’t eat cause the cooks suck! and I won’t hang out long cause my bill will be too high. Please bring back your Happy Hour and do something with the food! I really would like to spend more time there.

Since there is no option for less than 1 star, this is all they get from me. Went in Saturday, mid-day and it was busy. The one and only bartender on duty was a fucking rockstar! She even had customers yell that out to her as they left! We ordered some wings, the garlic fries and chicken nachos. What a mistake that was … it was a 0 for 3 meal. The wings tasted like freezer burn and not hot at all. The garlic fries were soggy as gym socks(and smelled like them). The worst was the chicken nachos — the chicken was rubbery and we thought nachos came with cheese. They tasted like they were microwaved! Our bartender was very gracious when we mentioned it to her. Told her not to comp anything as it wasn’t her fault — glaringly apparent it was 100% on the kitchen. Glad the cook didn’t come out to talk to us as we would have lost what we had already eaten. Thought he was the dishwasher not the cook. This guy’s appearance leaves a whole lot to be desired. Thank God the saving grace was our bartender!!! Her professionalism and ability to handle a busy floor and stress from kitchen makes her the shining star in this very dull place. Hopefully the owners will take heed of the reviews and make some staffing changes to the better, in the kitchen. If not, we will only come back to drink if this bartender is working when we do.

Really awful place, bad food. Constant turn over of staff. Manager head cook is a ego tripping tyrant to employees and owners don’t apparently care.

It’s not that bad of a bar. Not very busy but fun on Tuesdays. The guy who works Mondays is amazing and always fun when me and my friend come in. Food is OK I got tacos and they weren’t that good meat wise but the wings were decent

Wow, it seriously makes me so sad to see that this bar has such a low rating! :( We were here to play darts for the night and I wasn’t sure what to expect because of the area it was in. When you walk in though, it’s actually such a cool bar. It’s pretty spacious — there’s tons of seating and even a big stage where people sing karaōke and where I’m sure they have live bands from time to time. As far as food goes, we tried the fries, mac and cheese bites/poppers, and the mozzarella sticks. Food was amazing. The mac and cheese bites(I think that’s what they were) were BOMB! They were a little spicy which isn’t what I was expecting but daaaamn it was amazing. They were so good. A little sad that they don’t offer Blue Moon pitchers, but oh well. It turns out that the team we were playing against was actually made up of the owner and another guy who is great friends with the owner. We ended up hanging out with them pretty much all night, having great conversations with them and even singing with them! It was a blast. I definitely recommend giving them a shot — it’s a great bar.

$ 6.50 pints in a crappy bar with ok service. Seriously? MV deserves better. At least the bartender was friendly when she wasn’t out on a frequent smoke break. Beware of the overpriced $ 9 pints also.

Though the place was decent until I got the tab and saw I was paying $ 6.50 per beer. I was shocked. I work downtown Seattle and you don’t see these prices. And it’s definitely not worth it. I will not be back for sure. This will be the places downfall for sure.

You guys. LD is totally good. How can it have a lower rating than Golden Peacock? HOW. Parking is a breeze. You can always gets seat. Everyone is nice. Service is good. Food is fine. Lots of interesting rotating beers. It’s a perfectly serviceable neighborhood place.

I’m sorry, I really wanted to like this place. very disappointed with the bartender. I sat up at the bar and wasn’t even acknowledged for a couple of minutes. It wasn’t like the place was busy, it was a Tuesday… I sense there is some frustrations with the bartender and the owner from some side conversations I overheard. I ordered a cocktail and the nachos. The nachos were awful! No cheese all chips and the chicken tasted like it was microwaved, no Bueno. I wasn’t expecting a five star meal just some descent bar food!!! I really wanted to like this place. My Recommendations to the owner: better service/bartender and hire a new cook!!. This place has potential.

I think this place is great. I eat and drink here almost weekly and while the menu is limited it’s a good clean bar. It’s not packed and I think sometimes they are trying to decide what type of bar it is, I’ve never been disappointed. Good beer, good people and a nice location

Stopped in to have a couple drinks and kill some time. First impression: meh– whatever… Just another bar. Plenty of TV’s, appeared clean. Ordered a whiskey and diet. It was fine. Very weak, but to be expected(since I’m not a regular). The bartender seemed put out when I asked for a MENU. He handed me a leaflet card with drink specials and finger foods. I figured that’s all they had. Later, as he walked by, he slapped a full menu down«in case I wanted to see it.» Anyway, the menu was appealing. Figured I’d find myself in here again for lunch or take out. Then my next drink arrived. One sip and I was grossed out. It looked different so I asked if it was Diet Coke. He said it was and debunked my theory it was ginger ale by stating they don’t have ginger ale on tap. OK. «It’s awful», I said. He poured a slight amount of diet into a glass and had me taste that. It tasted a little flat and I let him know that. He then walked off. Look, I am not a snob but I also do not drink crappy drinks. They didn’t offer to remake it. So, I(stupidly) left the guy a tip and a full drink and walked out never to return. I feel like going back in and getting my $ 2 tip back because as I walked out I told the bartender he should check his ingredients out. He seemed to not give a rip. So… Like others, I think this place is for the birds.

The Lost Dutchman is horrible! Service, Food and Ambiance were all horrible. I give this place maybe 6 months before it closes and that’s being generous. I gave this place a fight chance been here 3 times all were horrible Bad food! would rather eat at Mcdonalds we all tried different things all were bad! Bad Service we were 3 of 7 people in the place and we had to go up and ask for things. Ambiance brightly lit sports bar !? Oh but they had the state of the union address going on with the TV sound on WOW just plain Awful. Oh and one other thing they have happy hour from 2−4pm… Um there is a reason why people have there happy hour till 6pm such bad business people.

I still get to hear from management … This place has fake people adding decent reviews. It’s sad because this place sucks as far as bars. Shitty service with rude bartenders. It’s okay, this bar won’t be here much longer.

Oh, Lost Dutchman. Like other« Unilocalers», I, too, think you have a lot of potential. We visited during your opening week, and was disappointed with the calamari(rubbery) and the cobb salad(sad lettuce and pretty sure no one in the kitchen knew how a cobb salad is made). We gave you another chance tonight around 5pm. Sigh. We asked the bartender if there were any happy hour specials, and he pretty much mocked us, saying, «Yeah, Happy Hour is from 1 – 3. And Happy Hours are overrated anyway.»(Really? tell that to Hopjacks down the road where they seem to be rather busy during that typical 3pm –6pm timeframe. It’s called volume.) Despite that, we stayed, and tried the nachos which were weirdly chewy, and for $ 10(allright, $ 9.99), kind of skimpy. The«triple x» wings had the texture of(longtime) frozen wings, dumped into a fryer and tossed with a dash of chile powder and Franks Hot Sauce. There was really nothing«daring» about them, although that’s what the menu led us to believe. You get a star for plating & presentation, though. After letting the bartender know we thought the nachos were stale, he brought out the cook, who graciously replaced the nachos with a quesadilla, which was just okay. Seriously, Bartender Dude, you couldn’t simply apologize, and take them? You had to pull the cook from the kitchen? Okay, to be fair, she couldn’t have been very busy anyway. The Lost Dutchman, let’s talk. Decide what you want to be. Are you really a sports bar? Offer something more enticing than overpriced beer($ 6.50 for a pint? Really?) and a few banners from local sports teams hanging from the ceiling. How about a fun special football themed drink? Or a food special for your menu? Do you want to entice people to come in and have a good time? Then why do you have half of your space as an empty dance floor that passersby see as they walk to the Starbucks, or to your competition, the TapHouse? On that side of your floor space, flip it. Move the dance floor to the space next to kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, no one wants to see the entrance to it, where you keep the extra napkins and stuff. Could you at least hang a curtain, put some swinging doors in place? And your menu: Irish Nachos, The Lost Nachos, Asian BBQ Pork, Calamari, Linguica sausage, Italian Pasta, Steak, – Pick a theme for your menu instead of playing United Nations Menu. Basic economics says that simplifying your menu will simplify/lower your costs. I’m guessing that your new owners put a LOT of money into transforming the Blockbuster video store of yesterday into the Lost Dutchman of today, and I say kudos to them. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, I’m sure, to put it all together. And frankly, most restaurants fail. It would be a real shame if you, Lost Dutchman, failed, especially in our neighborhood where we need another fun place to hang out, have some good beer, and good food.

I think this place has a lot of potential for sure! I went with some friends and it was pretty dead, because the music wasn’t what the crowd wanted(however no one bothered to request something new to the dj). So I started dancing and requested all kinds of line dancing and people actually came out to dance with me and my friends! The place just needs to livin up a bit and read the crowd! I love the games too. I’d go back!

This place has potential. But they REALLY need to up their food game. I tried the nachos, pizza, and a burger, all on different occasion s and it was all over cooked and lacked flavor. Hopefully they can rectify this. It could be a really cool place especially for watching football.

After the first new restaurant visit I went back to get a pizza. I called the order and went to pick it up, after waiting for 3 beers for my pizza they brought it out. It was undercooked and I didn’t care for the crust this time either.
