I just want to take a minute so say that every time I come to this location I get great customer service and delicious food! Today(I think his name is Brian) took my order and he was very friendly! Just want to say keep up the good work!

Mcallisters is one of my favorite places to grab a fast and delicious lunch with lots of healthy options as well. It’s my favorite soup salad and sandwich place by far.

Trying to be a cross between a Subway or Jimmy Johns and a Bread Co. The squash soup was fine, but it didn’t come with a roll or even crackers. The tables were all clean, it was nice that my order was brought to my table, and staff came around to collect the empty bowls, plates, and such. Décor modern bistro.

What a disappointment! Soup was lukewarm. Sandwich was tasteless. Value for the money was a disappointment. I would not recommend this location.

I came in on a Saturday and it actually wasn’t too busy. It was hard to tell where to stand but I finally saw a sign after we already ordered. I did the pick 2 and my country potato soup was awful. It tasted like cleaning product. I’ve eaten at McCalisters before and that is not normal. My sandwhich was not bad but there was barely any sauce until the last bite. My fiancé got the Big Nasty and he liked it. His macaroni and cheese was cold though, which was pretty sad. Overall the location was not very clean and the food was dissapointing. I probably wouldn’t come back. Friendly staff gets them 2 stars.

Good food, Pecanberry Salad is awesome and they have really good broccoli chedder soup. Sandwiches are good too. Pecanberry salad is seasonal for the Spring. Tried a Turkey cranberry salad the next visit(also good, but prefer the Pecanberry). This fall(now) they have a Squash soup that is amazing. This is an amended review as on night we had an off night here, but have had excellent service and food since. The regional manager contacted us and we were very happy with how they dealt with it. That is the other half of how reviews are supposed to work, on one side to praise the things you really like — and on the other side to address problems. In this case we were very happy with the way things were handled and we will continue to go here and recommend McAlister’s Deli to our friends. Let this review be a testament to other managers, that if you monitor your social media and address any issues that arise, it can definitely work in yout favor.

The food was not nearly as good as the other locations that I have frequented. My wife’s salad was much smaller than normal. My mashed potatoes were cold and crusty. It was close to closing time, so I will give them that. As We were finishing our food, I looked up to see one of the kitchen staff using an eCig in the same area that the food was prepared. The cashier was polite and friendly, but he must have been brand new because he was having a hard time finding the items that I ordered on their POS. after we got home, my wife and I both felt a little sick to our stomach.

This McAlister’s is a newer location in the revitalized Deer Creek shopping center. It’s a place that is nice to stop and eat at when doing shopping in the area, which is the reason I ended up there the two times I’ve been. The first time was a weekend lunchtime, and I walked in and pretty much turned around and walked right out. It was so busy that the place was trashed. Food everywhere on the floor, tables not clean, etc. It was kind of appalling. That was a fail. The second time was when we were tired, had no healthy food(aka vegetables) to go with dinner, and had reason to stop in and check some things out at Buy Buy Baby. We decided to give it a second chance. This time it was much cleaner(very clean). We got in and ordered right away, and for about $ 17 got two very filling meals. The food came out immediately. I like how many options they have, especially for the vegetarian in me. My husband also likes trying new things so he tried different combinations whenever we go(we’ve been to the Des Peres location many times). I really like their ciabatta bread, and their 4 cheese grilled cheese is delicious. I also like their garden salad and ranch dressing. This visit gave me a bowl of greens, some of which were discolored to the point of being unappetizing. Bummer to that. The sweet tea is delicious! I’ll continue to visit every once in awhile but I’d like to see a little bit more quality control and higher staffing at busy times to keep it clean.

I frequent this McAlister’s location fairly often because it is close to my office. This location is relatively new so the interior is updated and well kept. It is also well staffed and kept clean. Other than that… it’s just like any other McAlister’s you’ll visit. It’s a chain restaurant… so it’s pretty much consistent with other McAlister’s I’ve visited as far as food quality/consistency goes. The only semi unique thing to note about this McAlister’s location is that it gets really busy right around noon during the work week. But my co-workers and I have found a way around waiting in line. Just place your order online thru McAlister’s website… it just takes them ten minutes to put your lunch together, so by the time you arrive at the store, your lunch is ready and waiting for you! Easy peasy!

I had to get the stickers for my mother’s car, so after I got those stickers, I went to McAlister’s Deli at the other end of Deer Creek Shopping Center and ate. McAlister’s Deli is located in part of what used to be the old Colonel Days blue jean store and more recently the post office before Brentwood Post office moved to its current location in Brentwood. Its front actually faces Laclede Station Road and is right by where Hanley Road turns into Laclede Station Road. I ordered a large sweet tea, which was really good since I didn’t have to add sweetener, and a veggie sandwich. I was asked if I wanted the side veggies which were steamed baby carrots and broccoli. I don’t understand why so many people dislike broccoli, but that’s beside the point. The sandwich was different veggies like cucumber, bell pepper, tomato and a slice of white cheese on a pita that had been folded over kinda like a gyro, and it was good. I was given a small container of ranch dressing, but I dipped the carrots and broccoli in that and ate it. Today, they didn’t seem to be as busy as they had been the first time that I was there, so it was not chaotic and was orderly. I liked it, and I’ll be back.

Let’s start with a couple of positive points about this place. This location has been open for about one year, and everything is currently new and pretty. The employees at the counter are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food(i.e., one of the most important parts of a restaurant) is lacking. After placing several to-go orders here, I think I’m ready to call it quits. You can argue that my food has been so-so because I’ve been ordering it to go. Let me assure you that I have taken it only a short distance and have eaten it immediately after arriving at my destination. This is a chain, and I don’t expect it to be like a family-run deli. I do, however, expect my food to be good. At McAlister’s, I felt like I was eating deli food at a place that doesn’t specialize in deli food. It was like going to a bar and ordering a salad. It might be on the menu, but it’s just sort of there for the rare person who goes to a bar and doesn’t want typical bar food. I don’t expect my food to be picture-perfect or to look exactly like it does in advertisements, but with two of my orders, I was not even sure I had received the right item. My Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller, which was supposed to be «sliced, grilled chicken breast topped with guacamole, fire-roasted corn & poblano pepper relish, pepper jack cheese and chipotle ranch sauce on a ciabatta roll» had a single corn kernel and not a trace of poblano pepper. The sandwich, which is lovely and colorful online, actually was pretty blah and monochromatic in person. The pot roast on my Pot Roast Spud was even more disappointing. The picture online showed an amazing, delicious-looking potato«loaded with tender beef pot roast & carrots, smothered in gravy.» What I received was a soupy mess of mostly gravy, little pot roast, and hardly any carrots. It seriously looked like someone pooed on my potato. Amazingly, I ate it. Even more amazingly, it was one of the best things I ordered here. The worst thing I ordered was the New Orleans Muffuletta, which is made on Gambino’s muffuletta bread with Gambino’s muffuletta salad. There’s a lot of name-dropping going on there. I’m no expert on muffuletta sandwiches, and I’ll probably lose all credibility when I say this, but I’m a huge fan of the muffuletta at Jason’s Deli.(They spell it muffaletta there.) The McAlister’s muffuletta was entirely different, but that’s not my problem with it. The bread was ridiculously hard. It’s not supposed to be a super-soft, doughy bread, but this bread was nearly rock-solid. If liking this kind of muffuletta is right, then I want to be wrong. I don’t want to be completely harsh here. I’ve had a couple of okay salads as well as a delightful rendezvous with a tasty little PB& chocolate crispy treat. However, other than those things, my food has been memorable for all the wrong reasons. I’m giving this location two stars because it is a nice place with nice people. I just found the food to be disappointing. However, other reviewers have posted some good-looking food. Maybe I’m ordering the wrong things. :) Update 9÷18÷204: In response to my review, I received a very nice message from the general manager. This supports my earlier statement about this location having friendly and helpful employees. Additionally, it shows they are open to feedback from their customers. I’m leaving my rating as it is, so I chose to add this note rather than to leave a new update. I think the food here isn’t for me, but maybe you’ll like it. Everyone has different tastes.

Put up a freakin sign for where the line starts. Every time I come in at a just lunch time, everyone just huddles around the registers, and there is no organization to the line at all. The line is supposed to run along the back wall, so put a sign that says such. I asked the manager about a sign 2 or 3 months ago, and she told me, verbatim, «we just ordered a sign. It should be in any day.» Either she lied to me, or this better be the fanciest damn sign ever if it’s taking this long to get. I will now start going back to the Des Peres location until this is resolved. End of story.

Really fantastic costumer service. Food was served extra fast. I really hope this location does well. I plan to be back. This plaza as a whole is really trying to come back to life. Great for Maplewood.

I have not been to a McAlister’s Deli in ages. I was out and about today and thought I would stop in at the newest McAlister’s in Maplewood. It is on the end of a newly renovated strip mall where the old Venture used to be and where the DMV is. New stores include Buy Buy Baby, Ross, Shoe Carnival, Marshalls. Plenty of parking but it is almost hard to tell if they are open since the windows are shaded to a very dark tint. I was there early for lunch and everyone was super friendly. I ordered chicken salad which was the best I have had in a long time. The croissant was super crumbly but tasty as well. Super nice location and the atmosphere was very nice. I will be back.
