Easy to miss this quaint sushi spot. My dad and ordered special rolls– all of which were delicious! I ordered the Crazy Salmon roll, we shared the Black Pearl roll, and my dad got the Hollywood roll. I think the prices are fair for quality of fish and size of the roll you receive. There are several comments about poor service on Unilocal. We didn’t see the servers much throughout our dinner other than opening the wine, taking our order, and delivering the check, however I thought they were fine. They had soft music playing and it’s BOYB which I’m always a fan of. On top of the«regular» special rolls, they also have a board up on the wall where they add other special rolls depending on the night– which is great if you want to try new stuff. Definitely would recommend Mt Fuji, and I’m excited to return.

Bento box and Man in black Roll are my favorite. The quality is good and the place is clean. It’s my regular take out place when I crave for sushi

Our go-to place for local Japanese. Our son loves it and the food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are sweet and courteous. We try different dishes from time to time but the sushi is always the way to go. Unless it’s winter and then their udon soups hit the spot the best.

The sushi here is fine. Certainly nothing to gush about, but it is mediocre suburban NJ sushi. I used to order delivery here fairly regularly when I was craving sushi and didn’t want to leave my apartment(I mean, the delivery aspect was really the only reason I kept returning to this place). Tonight I called in my usual order, and was told that there is a «new delivery minimum» of $ 30. It must be VERY new, considering I ordered the same meal one week ago with no issue. Don’t get me wrong… I understand the reason behind delivery minimums… But when you’ve been ordering from the same place quite frequently without issue and all of a sudden-without warning– you can’t anymore… It’s very annoying. Especially when you can’t over-order sushi just to meet the minimum and keep the leftovers… Needless to say, this place has lost my business. The food just isn’t worth the $ 30 price tag for the convenience of delivery.

The sushi was decent! The service was absolutely horrible. I would never come back here just because the service was that terrible. We had 2 servers in one night and both women were so rude and ruined a lovely evening with my fiancé who I haven’t seen in 3 months and it was my last night in town and thank goodness we got a cab to get out of there as soon as possible.

Sushi is solid, and service is good. I haven’t been here in a while but used to be a place I would check out at least once a month. Very fresh fish, and delicious soup and salad. I would still go back and recommend you to try it.

The avocado rolls were the best I have ever tasted! We brought my toddler and sat in a booth with a booster seat. The restaurant was pretty full on a Friday night. I like that it is BYOB. The dressing for the salad was yummy and my daughter loved the miso soup, edamame and vegetable/tofu udon noodle soup. We had a special roll that was all raw fish with no rice which was good. The tempura appetizer was delicious and so was the dessert. We ordered 3 orders of green tea and red bean ice cream. We were very satisfied. The service was gruff at times and mostly pretty attentive. I had a better time here for dinner than my last experience at lunch a few months back. The service was more pleasant this time around.

I went here for the first time a few days ago. Ordered a Philadelphia roll, and got extremely sick/food poisoning. Have been throwing up with a fever/headache/nausea/chills/body aches for 2 days now and have missed work from it. A restaurant has a responsibility to serve its customers fresh food. Mt Fuji did not.

We have recently had a number of very good meals here. We tend to have the cooked items like the udon noodle soups or bento boxes or fried rice so I can not comment on the sushi. We have always found the staff nice and prompt.

I have been going to this restaurant for years now(even back when it was Samurai Sushi!) and they really do provide you with good quality and fresh fish. The $ 10-$ 11 you pay for the lunch special(which includes miso soup, salad, and either 2 sushi rolls, 6 sashimi with a California roll, or one of the many bento boxes) is quite the bargain! You certainly get your money’s worth! I go there for sushi lunch all the time, and everyone I have taken with me agrees it’s one of the best! It always has at least 4 other groups of people in the restaurant whenever I go, so people know it’s good quality. The staff, on the other hand, is less than desired. They are not warm or welcoming nor do they seem happy to be there. Not only am I afraid to ask them for, say, extra ginger or to refill my drink, but it just kills the mood overall. For example, last time I was there, one waitress was very rude to my friend(she was extremely impatient when taking our order and did not try to help us figure out what to get when we were having trouble deciding/substituting due to a food allergy) and it became unnecessarily awkward. Overall, great place to go for sushi lunch if you’re looking for a bargain and good fish. The staff could absolutely be friendlier, but I’m there for the food, not to make friends.

Great food. Not sure what the previous reviews were saying. This is my go to spot when I’m in the area. My favorite is the Bahamas Clam salad and their gigantic speciality rolls. Also Salmon egg with a quail egg on top is a must.

The food is good. The service is poor. I’ve been here three times and it takes forever for the food to arrive. Food comes out in random order. I needed a fork for my daughter and had to walk across the restaurant for the waitress’ attention. Expensive. Mediocre shrimp teriyaki was $ 18.00! Finally, the kid ordered ice cream for dessert. 10 minutes later a different waitress brings us a melting bowl of it, explaining that their freezer is malfunctioning, and do I mind that the ice cream is like this? Kid’s eyes are fastened on gooey ice cream, so I say fine. It taste it and it tastes old. Like freezer, and mildly gritty. The sushi is good.

A dungeon of a place. I went against my better judgment and did not go to Momoya, where the staff is awesome& the sushi is great. Everyone wears a frown here. The sushi guys roll your sushi and don’t even look at you. Unpleasant place to consume lunch. Go to Momoya on Broad street in Bloomfeild where they smile and greet you and then roll your sushi.
