I was there a few days ago. This was my first time ever at Pizza Ranch and it was okay but I wasn’t terribly impressed. I was super excited for mac & cheese pizza that they tout on their website but they didn’t have any on either of my trips to the buffet. I ended up making my own by putting mac & cheese on garlic bread pizza which was pretty darn good. Nothing blew my mind but everything was fresh and delicious.

I mean, I know the food is not top notch and definitely not healthy, but I still love it. Good salad bar lots of options there. I love pizza and fried chicken so what is there to say negative about this place? you aren’t going to get high end pizza or chicken, but for what it is, it is awesome. O and the service was nice. Polite people, manager asked how the food was to everyone around us, and people took empty plates often.

There’s no question that pizza ranch has the best fried chicken around. Crazy that they call themselves pizza ranch when the pizza is average, but the chicken is outstanding! The maple wood location has great service and consistent quality. Definitely worth a visit.

Went there for Black Friday since it was double points. The woman at the front desk was not very friendly and obviously frazzled. I was afraid to request a pizza with her because I knew either we wouldn’t get it or she would be inconvenienced. When I asked for a milk for the baby she forgot to give me my change. The buffet had multiples of most pizzas, not very much variety. When we requested something it took forever(if we got it at all). I know this isn’t typical for this location so we will be back. This just wasn’t the best experience.

Nice people, made to order items at the buffet. Of course I always want the cinnamon dessert pizza with EXTRA icing and they do it with a smile! Love them!

The biggest downside to this place is the price. $ 14 with tax for a lunch buffet on the weekend is a bit much, considering CiCi’s(even though they aren’t in MN anymore) does the same for half the price. But I digress… The place is very clean, very new, and pretty well organized for a buffet. There’s a pizza station with about 8 – 10 pies, a decent salad bar, a ‘homestyle’ station with fried chicken, potatoes, and the like, and the deserts(complete with the creamiest soft serve I’ve ever had). The pizza was ‘meh’ at the best; nothing I’d come back for and tasted almost like it was frozen and heated in the oven for 15 mins. They had your usual staples with usual toppings, sans the taco pizza which wasn’t that great. The ‘ranch sticks’(cheesy bread sticks), however, were TODIEFOR. Absolute home run with those; you could fill up them and skip the pizza if you wanted to. They had 2 soups, one of which was beer cheese which wasn’t great by itself but made for an excellent dip for the waffle fries and chicken fingers. The dessert pizzas were pretty good; better than the normal pies, and as I mentioned earlier very good soft serve, though only Vanilla and no toppings. Drink selection was good, they had 10 or so Coke products, iced tea, and coffee available. Bathrooms were clean. Big complaints are the christian music they were pumping in at a rather loud volume and busboys who interrupted my party’s conversation asking if they could take our plates when they were clearly stacked with food scraps on them at the edge of our table(just take them!) Given the outrageous price, annoying service, and rather mediocre food, I don’t plan on coming back. I hope CiCi’s makes it’s way back north so there’s a well priced pizza buffet option in the area.

We went to «Pizza Ranch» on Friday evening about 5:30pm 8÷7÷2015. We both ordered the buffet, $ 12.99 per person. If you love Dominoes Pizza, then you’ll enjoy pizza at this place. Hubby chomped down 3 pieces of pizza… he said it actually tasted worse than it looked. LOL I had mashed potatoes and gravy, a chicken breast and a small lettuce salad. It was fine. BUT, the most awful experience was the noise! OMG… ten times worse than«Cracker Barrel» and up to last night, that was our #1 noisiest. The music was«Christian ROCK»… SOLOUD we couldn’t even talk to one another. My husband finally said: «Hurry up and finish so we can get out of here asap!» By that time we both had a headache. We did talk to the Manager about the extreme noise. Also, the acoustics, well… there aren’t any. Won’t go back. This place has a long way to go to be a pleasant dining experience. #1. Lower your prices #2. Learn how to make a decent pizza #3. Offer a few more salads, #4. Do anything to lower the sound in that place. Anyone that gives this place more than one star, never gets out to a buffet.

I discovered this place in college and have eaten at multiple Pizza Ranches across Minnesota. I LOVETHEM! Not only can you get pizza at their pizza buffets but you can satisfy your hunger with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, chicken fries, French fries, soups, and a full salad bar. But let’s be honest, I come here for the pizza. And they spice up their pizza offerings with many unique flavors like BBQ Chicken, Steak and Blue Cheese, Macaroni and Cheese, Bacon Cheeseburger, Taco, Buffalo, Hawaiian, etc. They also have the classics and any combination and flavor can be ordered in their«Buffet done your way.» My record for most slices of pizza eaten at one time is 22. That’s right, almost 3 whole pizzas. So gooooood! The shining star to this whole place though is their Cactus Bread. A better name for it would be Crack Bread, because this stuff is like multiple orgasms in your mouth good. Cinnamon, butter, and icing on a sweet crust(or you can get it in multiple fruit pie flavors). Ooey, gooey, and so, so, bad for you. Not to mention they serve ice cream with it. The buffet may seem a bit pricey, but after you have had the whole experience, you will be well fed and satisfied.

Fun looking place. Very communal. All the staff was super nice. Huge variety of pizzas and plenty of tasty side dishes, and they take requests on what you want. The fried chicken is very good. Nice selection of fountain drinks. The dessert pizza is delish. Saving room for it is a must. The buffet is the way. I’ll be back.

The food is pretty solid for a buffet. I had a little of everything and it was all fine. Buffets often taste cheap but this food didn’t. My only complaint is that the music was too loud. Otherwise, it was all fine.

If you like dirty restaurants, obese people, over-priced pizza/mashed potatoes/every other fatty mid-western food available, this place is for you! Seriously, the atmosphere is absolutely atrocious and glorifies American obesity and slobbery. I will never go here again. Oh, and the pizza is mediocre too.

If you want a good pizza, this is not the place to go! If you like chicken and have kids, this is the place to go! The pizza is AWFUL! Tastes like cardboard with meat like substance and a drizzle of tomato sauce on it. Chicken and salad bar are good.

I like it here. The pizza is fine, the chicken is terrific, the variety is appealing. They’ll make any pizza you want and bring it to your table, even as a buffet customer. The customer service is very accommodating. My favorite thing it’s that my kids love it here, especially with the balloon artists on Tuesday nights.

My son, who doesn’t have a refined palate, likes this place… a lot. So, I believe this to be a kid-friendly place and also a place for people who eat pretty much anything. The pizza is mostly tolerable. The chicken(I ate one wing) was better than the pizza. Since I limit fried foods, I wouldn’t eat much of it. Hubby LOVES the chicken. Unless you’ve got a mouth full of Novocaine, don’t bother with the dessert pizzas. I had one bite of the two flavors available when there: Apple and cherry. Not much flavor, but WAY too much sugar. If you’re hypoglycemic, then you might want to eat this to help get up your blood sugar. The salad portion of the buffet was tolerable, at best. Still, it’s a bit better option than the pizza… to me, anyway. They do have a wide variety of customizable beverages, which was a nice change from the typical buffet restaurants. So, bring the kids and you have a good chance of a complaint-free dinner. If you want to truly enjoy your meal, eat elsewhere.

After our original dinner plans were curbed by a 35 min wait, we decided to come here. We thought at that point we’ll pick some place quick. The cashier gal was very outgoing and friendly. They ring you up pretty quickly. Pros: Unsweetened ice tea option Salad bar– however Lakeville’s location had fresher salad and ingredients. Good dessert pizza. Some kind of berry thingy. Cons: Pizza– The pizza is not very good and doesn’t taste that good at all. Cardboard with sad toppings and lacking a lot of flavor. Honestly, I’ve had better when I was in grade school at the cafeteria. They have options of: Fried chicken BBQ chicken Potatoes Gravy Onion Rings Waffle Fries Carrots Reminds me of a Ponderosa from the 80’s, but with Pizza. I guess you can order individual Pizza’s too. Not my favorite place, but it did the trick for a quick meal.

Their«cran-tastic» salad is pretty fantastic! It consists of bleu cheese, walnuts, red onions, lettuce and spinach. Pretty delicious with the raspberry dressing.

I STINKIN’ LOVEPIZZARANCH!!! I was so excited when I heard they were putting one in Maplewood, for years I’ve had to satisfy my PR cravings once a year when we were anywhere near Monticello. It’s a buffet, but they have take-out too. Restaurant is large and clean, good mix of booths and tables. Staff is SUPER friendly, will chat with you at your table if you have any questions. The buffet consists of a salad/soup bar, pizza bar, chicken/potato bar, dessert bar, and drinks. For drinks– it’s fountain Coke products, tea, and coffee. Salad bar has 2 types of lettuce mix, typical toppings/dressings, some pasta salad, coleslaw, and 2 kinds of soups.(Today was Chicken Noodle and Wild Rice.) Chicken/Potato bar has their AMAZING Broasted Chicken, barbeque chicken, chicken«sticks»(like long, skinny nuggets), mashed potatoes, the world’s BEST chicken gravy, waffle fries, Jo-jo potatoes and corn. Pizza bar has«cheese bread» pizza(which is just cheese on pizza crust but there’s garlic and good seasonings on it) and marinara sauce, and about 8 different types of pizza. The great thing about this buffet– if you don’t see the kind of pizza you want on the buffet– ask a server and they will put in a «Guest Request» pizza for you, bring it right to your table and offer you the first slice before putting it out on the buffet. The dessert bar has 2 – 3 kinds of dessert pizza. This the the MAIN reason I love Pizza Ranch. Their regular pizzas are ok, their chicken and potatoes are amazing, but their dessert pizza is DIVINE. Crispy, buttery, cinnamon-y, deliciousness. And there is blueberry and peach dessert pizza too, but the original is the best. I usually have about 3 pieces. Oh, and there’s soft serve ice cream too. To sum it all up– great, friendly place, kept really clean for a buffet, and amazingly delicious food. Great for families, groups or lunch with coworkers. Price is pretty good– full buffet at lunch for less than $ 10! GETTHECHICKEN, MASHEDPOTATOESANDGRAVY, CHEESEBREAD, ANDDESSERTPIZZA!!!
