Scrivener’s is a great place to bring your kids, buy your party gifts, make your goodie bags, and get all the service and variety you need in a charming local toy store. The staff always has the best suggestions and they wrap for free! This place has been around since I was a kid and I hope it is still there when my grandkids are around.

This is a wonderful, old school toy shop with the best customer service EVER. After determining that Candyland was a legitimate game for girls AND boys, despite the excessive pink theme, I decided that I wanted to give my nephew this game for Christmas. After lazily checking the price on Amazon, I decided to give my business to the local shoppe instead. I called up Scrivener’s to see if they had it in stock. They did. This is the second time they happened to have my requested board game when I needed it. Those are pretty good odds for a tiny shop. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to get there before closing until the weekend, so they offered to hold it for me until then. And although they said it was not necessary, I decided to pay for it over the phone just to assure that they wouldn’t forfeit another Candyland sale while it sat on a shelf behind the register. They then offered to wrap it in whatever style paper I wanted – I chose Christmas – and have it ready to go when I came in to pick it up. Wow. Just WOW! Besides all these stellar personal touches, this place is jam packed with all sorts of neat toys. Whether you’re looking for a present, some stocking stuffers, or party favors, you’ll find it here.

My brother recevied his first Wolverine #1 from this store, the manager brought it to our house personally(my dad did know the owner). At the time they had mainly Stamps, Postcards, Coins, some collectible cards and comics(rarely). When we knew them — honest people.
