Modern, clean, no frills, friendly staff. As the sign by the elevator says, «Save on lodging so you can splurge on everything else.» Thanks to the other reviewers who said to turn in front of the KFC!

This place is a little tricky to find if you’re speeding by. I agree with Mary T. that if you pass by the KFC, you’ve missed it. Right when you see the KFC, turn in. You’ll drive a bit down the road and there is Motel 6. The front desk was really friendly and set us on our way to our room. We requested a non-smoking room which we got but the hallway was smoke filled. I added pictures of the room. It’s a lot different than the other Motel 6 that I’ve been to. The orange accented walls and hardwood floors added a nice touch to a $ 60 per night room. It’s completed with a fridge, microwave, and flat screen tv. There is not a hairdryer in the room. You have to request one at the front desk. Apparently, people steal from wall mounted dryers? My bedsheets were damped, and when we called for them to replace it, two workers, reeking of smoke came in and replaced it. Usually, hotel staff wear a uniform so guests know who to turn to for help, but these ladies were wearing regular street attire. It wasn’t professional at all. I also thought they needed to work on their manners. The bathroom was clean for the most part except the walls. Let’s just say it was a brown smear. I really don’t want to know what was on there. After we came back from the wedding, we realized that the parking lot was full. There was a boat attached to a truck that took up 6 spots. When I went to tell the front desk, he just said there was more parking in the back and there was nothing he could do about it. I was with 2 other girls and it was 1 a.m., I didn’t feel safe walking from the back parking lot. There is more space down the hill. It is lit but I do wish there was a security cam facing that way. It would make guests more comfortable. I do think that if you have a boat attached to your vehicle, you should not be parking in the main parking lot. Those vehicles should park down the hill. Overall, it’s $ 60 a night and you get what you paid for. It’s a decent place, and if you’re planning to stay for a night or two, this would do. No bedbugs were carried from here back to Houston. Whew!

We were up in Marble Falls for a wedding recently and we stayed here one night. This place is brand spanking new and, for a Motel 6, is pretty swanky. What other Motel 6 have you ever been to that has an orange accent wall and hardwood floors in the room? None that I’ve been to, that’s for sure. The room was small, but it was well appointed in a style that might have been striving for modern/art deco. When we checked in, the lady at the desk was super friendly and gave us a third floor room«with a view». It was true, we did have a pretty amazing view of the hill country out past the swimming pool, parking lot, and highway 281, but at night we discovered the security light for the swimming pool was shining directly into our window. The blackout curtains did their job admirably, but some of that still bled through. Also, I don’t know what it is about Motel 6’s, but they all have the same smell. This place was finished just last year, and the room was still musty smelling. It wasn’t enough to ruin our stay, but it was a little mind boggling. Maybe they invest in air musters instead of air fresheners to keep up continuity of experience. They don’t offer a continental breakfast, but they do have a vending machine with danishes and such in it with a mural above the machines proudly proclaiming the presence of hydrogenated oils and preservatives. Finally, this place is a little difficult to find as Ollie Ln is a small side street and easy to drive past. If you’ve passed the KFC on 281, you’ve gone too far. It’s right behind the KFC. All together, this is the cheapest place we could find to stay in Marble Falls and it was a perfectly adequate experience.
