The servers were awkward, inexperienced, and unapologetic about the HOURAND A HALF it took for us to receive our food. We were only a three top and when the food finally came, they were one plate short. That person’s meal came 10 minutes later. The steaks were over cooked and there was nothing impressive about the rest of the food. Underwhelming, to put it politely.

Didn’t get a bite to eat here because we were really craving pizza but their staff was more than willing to make accommodations for myself and my friend, thy even went as far as to recommend an Italian restaurant that wasn’t too far. Extremely nice staff and very welcoming ! Will recommend to anyone passing through or visiting the area

I have never written a review but just had to on this one. Went on our anniversary and it was the second time we had been there. The first time wasn’t too bad so we thought we would give it another try. The salad was terrible and really had no flavor as was the steak and pasta my husband had. We had to ask for bread. Service was very slow. The only thing that was good was the okay was the appetizer I had for my main course Salmon patties. The view was great. Very disappointed

Service was awful. It literally took us 20 minutes to get water and two hours to get our food. When we eventually complained and did get our food it was very good. They owner did not offer to comp or even take anything off of our bill. We won’t be back.

Nice restaurant that is homey and has several inside tables and an outdoor patio. It sits on a bluff above the La Quinta and has many tables with a view of the lake. This seemed to be one of the nicer, more upscale restaurants in town, if that’s even possible. I ordered the steamed mussels in white sauce, ribeye steak and«catch of the day»(the salmon). Food was all pretty good, nothing special though. My favorite was the steak, it was very juicy and cooked perfectly. They give you chips and salsa when you sit down, which is kinda strange, and like other reviewers indicate, it tastes like Pace salsa and the chips were probably Tostitos or something. They also bring fresh out of the oven garlic bread to your table. I think they should do away with the cheap salsa and just serve garlic bread with some olive oil, for a more upscale dining experience. Overall, I just wasn’t all that impressed and next time I’m back in town I would likely try another place.

Russo’s is definitely the best fine dining experience in Marble Falls, in our opinion. They serve great entrée salads and sandwiches for lunch, and the dinner menu includes steaks, seafood, and pasta dishes with a Texas influence. Try the chicken Verde or the shrimp Diane. Highly recommended!

We went here for brunch on a Sunday. We made reservations even though they didn’t appear to be necessary. Staff was friendly and the service was attentive. Food was excellent and the food was delicious. Very upscale.

We were so excited to finally get to eat at Russos. A couple of us ordered the veal. Both agreed it was not very good. It was dry and had no flavor at all. The best part of that dish was the ravioli. The others in our party had fish. All commented they’d had better at Lubys. We were most impressed by the martinis. We will not be back. Nothing on the menu is worth having again.

Visited the restaurant based on the reviews. Welcomed at the door liked, sat outside beautiful scenery like, service not so much. The gentleman that served us didnt give us to much attention. We had to ask for parmesean cheese, more tea, etc. The final tap on the nail for me was we ordered dessert and coffee together. We received the dessert and 20 min later after we were finished here comes the coffee. No sorry it took so long or?

I stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the clean quiet bright setting I found. The service was quick and efficient. I had the hot Roast beef with a cup of soup of the day which was cream of asparagus soup. Both were very good. If you find yourself in Marble Falls I would recommend this highly.

This is my go to spot for the best meal in town, they make a dish called Chicken Verde, Grilled, that is the best chicken I’ve ever eaten, so tender and juicy and cooked to perfection every time. And John(the owner) makes the best Gin and Tonic in the county. I hope they never change the Chicken Verde(grilled) recipe, it’s that good! The servers act a little strangely though, it’s hard to put my finger on it, awkward I guess is a good word.

I took my mom to lunch at Russo’s in May. Why then have I waited until just now to write about our experience? I was so upset right after that I needed to wait until I had the time and the composure to give a well thought out review that did not spew with the unkind comments I wanted to say. I also hate reading novel length reviews so I’m trying to hit the highlights or more accurately lowlights. My mother is in poor health and I really value these moments I have with her. She wanted to go to Russo’s so I gladly took her. We waited a bit for drink orders but not bad. They were dropped off and the waitress ran off before we could order appetizers. I had to flag down another waitress to get her back to order. The brussle sprout appetizer was good. Things went downhill FAST from there though. Multiple changes in waitstaff at table. One waiter we had and mentioned often in other reviews never spoke or made eye contact. I have to say that I feel badly for him though because there may be a reason he has difficulty with this so he isn’t part of the complaint. Ok, the nitty gritty. They forgot our order and after 40 minutes I flagged down another waitress to ask her to get ours and what the problem was. After 5 mins. that was it and we went to the front. The woman in the front looked genuinely embarrassed and empathetic though still charged us for the appetizer and drinks, both were teas. She then went back to the kitchen to find out what happened and asked us to take our food anyway. We both ordered hamburgers and she gave them to us no charge. I took my mom home and when we cut into them although they appeared ok on the outside were RAW hamburger meat inside. I’m not talking rare here, I’m saying we could have shaped them to make meatballs. Thank God neither of us bit into them and had just cut them first. I promptly took them back to Russo’s handed them that same woman and told her I wanted nothing else from them, ever. Maybe we inadverantly ordered their special? Hillbilly tar tar? By the way, the locals don’t dig it as much as some reviews claim. I know some of the locals and they stay away too. I now stick with another locally owned place that is always good with great service and cooked meat! And no, it’s not the Bluebonnet. Nothing against them but there a several great locally owned places in Marble Falls that you can choose from. Russo’s is at the top of the WORST!

Have visited Russo’s for lunch and dinner several times. They are consistently good and service has always been good — even when they’re busy. They have a full bar and I can vouch for the Margaritas.

Absolutely amazing! The Russo’s now how to take care of their customers! The steaks are cut in house so they are juicy and spectacular. Also I highly recommend the the shrimp, chicken, Italian sausage & penne primavera! Yummy!

My favorite restaurant in the world(and I travel and eat for a living!). Russos has been a constant since I can remember. The dining room is elegant enough that you feel like you are«somewhere» but casual enough to feel like home. While I feel it’s best to wear appropriate dinner attire, really I think you can get away being more casual as well. The views are spectacular, definitely sit outside if you can. The food is one of a kind. I always get the Texy Tender with classic pasta. It is melt in your mouth GOOD and always cooked to perfection. The salads are interesting and different from anywhere else. Highly recommend the raspberry vinaigrette. The owners are LOVELY and attentive, and the staff are polite and courteous. Love Russos!

Service is slow, uncomfortable and need to take it back to the basics of good customer service. Food was way over priced, came out cold and took forever(probably due to the service). Frankly I’m upset that I paid $ 14 for a cold waffle(they didn’t bring my syrup with my waffle) and a small portion of fruit. I would recommend going elsewhere. My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere new to try in the area. We only come up every so often and usually always go to the blue bonnet café. We found this place on Unilocal and noticed they had a brunch on Sundays so we were pretty excited to try it out. Based off the Unilocal description it seemed pretty casual but with tasty food. When we arrived we were surprised because the place was a little more upscale than we anticipated and we showed up in very casual clothing. We were greeted by the host who immediately asked us if we had a reservation. The way she worded it, we felt almost unwelcome because we didn’t. When we said no, there was an awkward pause and then she proceeded to sitting us. I can understand if this is what they’re trying to go for but it was still uncomfortable. We got placed on a corner table with no view. Go figure. I’m hoping the people who they sat behind us near the window with great lighting and a great view had a reservation. I believe the host was the one to ask us what we would like to drink, that or another waitress. I do know it wasn’t our waitress because we had our drinks before she came to our table. Upon getting our drinks, my boyfriend noticed a big dirty glob of something on the rim of his glass. This kind of stuff happens. So we were understanding; but we had to sit there and wait another 5 – 10 minutes for our waitress. When she approached us she said«my name is XYZ and I’ll be taking care of you» and then scurried away. It was just uncomfortable. We didn’t have a chance to ask for a new glass either. I might recommend asking how were doing and maybe if we wanted an appetizer! Because we did, in which we had to wait another ten minutes until she came back and when she came back we were ready to order our food. We ordered both our food and appetizers. I noticed she picked up the drink menu when we were done ordering. I thought that was extremely strange seeing as we would have happily ordered drinks or desserts on the back. I would recommend leaving it on the table — it was a pretty small menu. I was IMPRESSED when she brought the appetizer out to us first, seeing as we ordered it with our dinner. And I liked that they brought the little fruit sides out early too. It kept us busy. We got the fried onion/jalepeno appetizer. They were fried perfectly, not greasy at all and we loved the dips. The fruit was fruit. I liked that it was fresh and cut. A+ on the apps. Once we finished our appetizer and the fruit we had to wait quite a while for our food. There was a decent gap which I thought was strange seeing as the restaurant wasn’t even that large. My bf got the ham and cheese omelette and I got the sweet Belgian waffle. I was torn between that and the eggs Benedict. I went with the waffle(I love waffles) and figured it must be good if it’s $ 14. When we got our food, the guy who dropped it didn’t say a word to us. Even when we said thank you. Strange. He ran off so fast I wasn’t able to ask him for syrup which wasn’t given to me with my meal. I ate my Canadian bacon, which was very yummy and warm and began looking around for our waitress so I could request some syrup. It took her at least five minutes(it felt like 10) to come by and check on us after getting our food. A good attendant always checks their guest as soon as the food drops! Anything could happen — me not having syrup is a good example of this. I even tried grabbing another waitress or the host or anyone… it wasn’t that I was ignored I just couldn’t get anyone’s attention. I decided to eat a bite of my waffle with the blue berry sauce that was on top. The waffle was dry and pretty crispy on the ends. I was expecting something made from scratch and perfectly cooked! For $ 14!!! I was quite disappointed. Long story short, when our waitress checked on us, she didn’t even say sorry about the syrup not coming out with the meal, but she did hustle to get me some and that I do appreciate! By the time I got my syrup though, my waffle was cold(it didn’t even come out hot). My bf did enjoy his ham and cheese omelette although it wasn’t very filling which was disappointing for the price we paid and it’s kind of hard to mess up a ham and cheese omelette. We walked out paying for our meal in full, not saying anything, and tipping the waitress generously but probably won’t ever come back. It takes a lot for me to be disappointed with a restaurant. I’m giving them two stars simply because you have to be pretty horrible to get a one. They really need to reconsider being upscale and also take it back to the basics for customer service.

Casual Dining with Dignity! We decided to do a weekend in Marble Falls to celebrate(or for him — NOT celebrate!) his 60th birthday. After doing some research, I decided to make a reservation at Russo’s for his birthday meal. I made reservations asking for a table with a view of the lake. The interior is casual but dignified with a wood, glass, soft lights — almost forgot to enjoy the lake! Our server — Sam — was sweet, upbeat and attentive. I knew I was going to be happy when they brought my house salad. I have NEVER felt the need to mention a ‘house salad’ in a review, but honestly… crisp bed of greens. Wafer thin radish. A few garbanzo beans(YES! Don’t knock it until you try it!) Tiny tiny grapes. All drizzled lightly with Raspberry Vinaigrette. I am serious… BESTHOUSESALAD I HAVEEVERHAD. And that was just the salad. Fresh garlic bread was next. Piping hot and fresh from the oven. Crispy on the outside. Soft and flavorful on the inside with their own homemade garlic parsley spread.(I will go back JUST for the bread. Seriously! Don’t skip the bread!) I had the ribeye(was cooked to perfection.) He had the pecan scallops. Delicious! And for his birthday dessert, Mr. Russo sent over a complementary cheesecake with the most delightful sweet and slightly tart and tangy topping — and one discrete candle. This dessert was not on the menu but one he was testing.(Oh Mr Russo! Please feel free to let us try anything you need analyzed for perfection!) Oh yes — my husband — the self-proclaimed coffee snob — said the coffee was excellent.(Triple bonus points for anyplace that gets a thumbs up from HIM on coffee.) Honestly — the night was perfect for our quiet ‘get away’ night. We loved the meal that was so full of flavor and textures. We will be back. Thank you Mr. Russo for your assistance in making this a delightful night!

I wasn’t very impressed with this place. The portions were on the small side for the prices they charge. The waitstaff acted liked whipped dogs, which raised suspicion in my group. We asked our waitress if she was okay there and she avoided the question. While our waitress was sweet she wasn’t very good. We were seated in a bench seat and she went behind the bench and reached over it and me to set my drink down and she took my order while standing behind me too.

I never write reviews for restaurants, because I always feel that the reviews I had seen before heading there reflected my experience. This was not the case for Russo’s. My party of 8 and I went to Russo’s, because it seemed to be the closest restaurant to where we were staying — Horseshoe Bay Resort. Walking in, the first thing that hit us was that this restaurant had probably never changed its carpet. The restaurant reeks of old age. The table we were seated at was definitely dirty, with stained tablecloths. When we walked in, the hostess was very confused about the fact that we didn’t have a reservation. I was confused that a place like this needed a reservation, as it wasn’t upscale at all. I ordered the«catch of the day» special, which was Salmon on top of what had to be the Shrimp Diana. Others seated at the table ordered the Texy Burger; which was okay; salads, that has chicken on top that must have been microwaved, and the Shrimp Diana. The shrimp wasn’t cooked properly, and I even wonder if it was fresh. The pasta itself tasted like a watered down Alfredo sauce with extra butter. My Salmon was definitely the only good thing that was had, and I let the others try it. The service is good, a little slow, but they’re nice people! Overall, it was a really disappointing experience. The food was awful, the restaurant was old and dirty, the service was good.
