I have used Thread & Needle for many years with pleasure. This one is a straight shooter at a fair price. You’ll get that personal small town touch here… try that down the road in the big city and see how it works out for ya. She has made anything from complicated whole outfits for that special occasion to simple pant hems and shirt adjustments for me. If you’re a business or individual looking needing good looking shirts or marketing material, this is where its at again. She has impressive equipment to handle all your embroidery needs at the right price. I know because our business has used her for years also. Repairs? You bet! She is well versed in the repair of even complicated sewing machines. Bottom line, she can handle anything you need! Great job by a great gal, you won’t be sorry.

The very tired sounding person who mumbled, «Hello?» when answering their business phone line informed me that she would charge me at least $ 85 to service the machine. I told her I had a machine that was out of time, to which she responded, «How do you know it’s out of time?» I told her that I’d had this problem before and had had it fixed in Lakeway, as I didn’t know there was a local place,(apparently by the grace of God…) She said that it probably wasn’t out of time, that the store in Lakeway just probably told me it was, and that these new machines aren’t built to last like the old ones. She said that if she looked at it and decided that it wasn’t worth fixing, she’d let me know and not charge me,(Gee, thanks…) «Which is probably what Lakeway should have told you in the first place. These places just want your money and not your business, but I want your business.» This supposedly swindling shop in Lakeway charged me about $ 20 to get my machine running again when it was out of time before, and was a family business with fantastic customer service. So on the off chance that they really are just lying to me and trying to take my money, I’m still going to go to them, because they will fix my machine 4x for the amount of money that Thread & Needle is asking. I’m all for going local and supporting small business. But if you are going to make it, you have to at least be competitive and offer great customer service. Excusing your high prices by accusing other businesses of dishonesty is lazy, and a cheap shot.
