I recently started working in Marblehead and I was pleasantly surprised to find so many great places to go to for lunch. In looking for a good coffee shop near work I decided to try Atomic café based on the great reviews and I was not disappointed! Atomic café is perfect to grab a coffee w a friend and sit and catch up while enjoying a delicious caffeinated drink. I tried the Mocha chai charger and it is simply AMAZING! One of the best coffee beverages I’ve had. The staff is super friendly. I was acknowledged and greeted w a smile the min I got near the counter. Atomic over Starbucks any day!

Hands down best espresso around. We buy the Intensi beans that Atomic roasts nearby! Been pulling these shots for over 2 years. Flavor and consistency is right on. Excellent service and super friendly staff. Love the new branding too.

They roast their own beans which is rare in itself. Delicious coffee made right. Tidy and neat with a warm atmosphere. Great prices to boot.

I’ve gotta admit, when I first started working in Marblehead and went into the Atomic I had a little«I’m not in Beverly anymore» anxiety… Over the past few months though I have come to very much appreciate the Marblehead location and will explain why. For starters, I have been almost every single day for two months and not been disappointed once. Everything is consistent and delicious. Sandwiches, coffee, espresso, chai, smoothies… all good. Every single time. The staff is super friendly and pleasant and consistently the same people are working which is a tell tale sign that a place is doing something right. My favorite thing to drink is Espresso and Atomic’s espresso is what won me over in the first place as they supply it to a restaurant I previously worked at(now Amano, then 62). I had the opportunity to serve the owner of Atomic while working there a few times and he and his wife were very nice people(unsure if they own it together). Overall, this is a great place. Don’t give Starbucks your money… Walk around the corner and treat yourself to some Atomic Café :)

Okay, these folks know their coffee. They have multiple bean flavors both for buying to take home and readily brewed. They describe their coffee products well and it’s worth a visit. I’m increasing the score by a star because they roast their own beans in Salem, very close by, and that makes the coffee that much better. Bought a bag of Costa Rica La minita to take home.

Returning to Atomic Café two years later, things are the same — same great coffee, same friendly staff. Prices are just right. We went for the Turkey BLT on toasted multi-grain served with chips. Nice amount of sliced turkey, greens, and tomatoes with mayo. Standard, but tasty. We also ordered the cranberry chicken salad sandwich — piled up high. Overall a great, quick lunch and a warming coffee on a cold day.

Love going to coffee shops to work and this one is pretty nice! A bit noisy from the kitchen but with the Beetles playing in the background and a good latte how can you complain? Cool latte art and nice ambiance. Solid café with affordable, tasty(not bitter!!) coffee!

Atomic Café is amazing. Great coffee, fresh delicious sandwiches, salads and smoothies, and a good local«Cheers» kind of vibe. The employees are attentive and friendly. I just wish so many people didn’t know about it because it gets busy!

This is the best café on the north shore! I’ve been going here for years and the staff is always so polite and friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. The owners wife Heather, who you may see work in the kitchen, always goes out of her way to make sure you are 100 percent satisfied. The food and coffee is always great and the cappiccinos are to DIE for. You cannot go wrong with atomic; everything about this café is great!

A little cleaner and more dressed up then the Beverly Atomic Café. Great latte, never disappoints. The mocha was also delicious! The tall ceilings and lighting makes for a nice working or studying environment.

A decent local coffee shop. A little pricey on their coffee beans.

Sadly, I think my days of supporting the small local café are almost to an end. I appreciate that it is home to lots of locals who frequent Atomic but honestly sometimes I just want to get in and out and order a coffee and not have to wait while everyone in line in front of me shares their life’s story with the staff. The amount of time I spend waiting to place an order and to receive said order continue to grow. Today I left before ordering because the staff, while always polite and pleasant, spend too much time chit chatting. There needs to be more staff on hand or an aisle for people who don’t have time to chew the fat. I don’t want to support Starbucks but at least I can be in and out in a reasonable amount of time.

Had the most amazing sandwich here! The cucumber deluxe! Fresh and totally delicious! Yum! I highly recommend if you are looking for something different than the standard sub sandwich, pop over to the Atomic Café!

Craving good soy latte and vegan hummus wrap for lunch, I woulnd up at The Atomic Café. As usual, the coffee(soy latte) was phenomenal, and the hummus on spinach wrap was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. The thick slices of cucumber and tomato were perfect: crunchy and juicy, and totally satisfying. YUM. Thank you, Atomic Café!

I like their coffee; always get it to go on my way to work a couple of times a week. However, I think their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They never seem eager to please and take their time in serving you. At times, it’s worse than Starbucks. Very rarely does someone smile at you at the counter, I get the feeling that I’m disrupting their day. I really, really like to help out small business, but Atomic Café needs to at least display a better attitude toward their not so regular customers. I’m not asking to be killed with kindness, but a little consideration is nice once in a while.

This is a really great local coffee shop… far better options and taste than Starbucks in my opinion. I had the chai tea latte… Was very tasty. I did not eat any of the food but others around me were eating and it looked really good. And they have free Wi-Fi Is a nice little place to go if you’re looking for a local coffee shop

Delicious lattes. Awesome sandwiches. Great atmosphere. Staff was nice. Food/drinks were ready quick despite the busyness of a Saturday. Loved it.

(score 1 – 100) — 90. I travel to all 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts for my job and this is the best little coffee shop I’ve experienced as far as coffee quality. THEYROAST their own coffee! There is a Starbucks close by but this place can hold it’s own and has a very loyal following. The coffee is never burned and is always prepared with a smile. They have sandwiches for lunch and they offer some nice touches for sides, like carrots instead of chips. This is a boutique coffee shop and what you would expect from a small town coffee shop. I think we all expect these small shops to offer something the chains don’t…and they produce… a cup of coffee with a smile! This is some seating but gets really full during prime morning hours.
