A great local business in every way. Chet manages to juggle the periodic mayhem of foot traffic with humor as well as an honest regard for what the customer wants. The kids working the counter are always pleasant and polite.

Chet’s is great; Wonderful selection of movies and great reviews from Chet and his daughter. They never steer you wrong. Can’t beat the candy choices(all those old penny candy favorites from NECCO and others) or the free popcorn you get with every rental(almost as good as Hobbs in Salem). How can a video rental place stay in business these days? Because it is a great value, a great experience, and one of the truly unique family-run small businesses around.

We walked in, stared at a wall of bulk candy($ 7.90/lb), pulled a shitty horror DVD from the alphabetical rack of thousands of titles, paid $ 2.90 for two days of nostalgia, and grabbed some free popcorn on the way out. I had to look back a few times to make sure I wasn’t in an episode of the Twilight Zone, playing on a DVD I myself rented from this establishment before paradoxically participating in my own self-witnessed adventure. *nosebleed* Yes, they rent movies. And sell candy, along with other assorted well-belongs(comic books, sports memorabilia, collectible cards). Pro tip: Designated parking just past Chet’s to the right. There’s only one spot you can’t park in, unless you’re THE Chet. Seriously. Read the sign.

I came here one night because I didn’t want to drive to the local chain video store, and I am so pleased that I didn’t! When you sign up you get two free rentals :) And every time you rent a movie you get a free box of popped popcorn that is movie theater quality. Movie selection is good and Chet’s will carry all new releases. They also have a little candy bar where you can fill a bag of candy and pay for the amount of weight(like the theater) I saw some yogurt covered pretzels, Yum! From now on, Chet’s is my first choice to rent movies.
