Stopped in on a Friday afternoon around 4PM. It was a beautiful day in Marblehead so we sat outside where about three tables and chairs were provided. It was rather quiet inside and very friendly young lady was eager to serve us. I decided on the kiddie size cup with one scoop of coffee Kalua brownie and one scoop of blueberry ice cream with a sugar cone on top($ 3.50) and my friend a small cup with one scoop of moose tracks and one scoop of something with almonds(around $ 4.00) Both were good but not the creamiest and best we’ve ever had. There didn’t seem to be a noticeable difference between the kiddie and small.

Best ice cream in Marblehead, great selection, always fresh, I can’t decide between soft serve dipped in chocolate or fresh blueberry with rainbow sprinkles, and it smells heavenly when you walk in. enjoy!

This is a small place that’s along the way from the downtown area to Crosby’s Market(decent-sized supermarket). The shop has a few tables in chairs inside and the AC is nice when it’s hot and humid out but there’s not a lot of overall customer space. It seems that most of the space is taken up by the ice cream of which they have lots of flavors. We had a coffee-ish ice cream with cookie bits in it, two scoops for about $ 5. They provided an extra cup so that we could share. The ice cream was quite good and the scoops were big. There are a few larger tables with chairs outside and a small concrete-topped and walled(don’t recall if the wall was brick of concrete) garden where you could sit on the tops. There were a number of kids that were in the little park area running around the garden, drawing things on the ground with chalk with the parents sitting around and chatting. The plants in the garden and an adjacent building provide a nice amount of shade. They have parking spaces in front and I think that they are for the ice cream place and Crosby’s Market. We parked downtown and walked over to the place.

Decent. There were certainly a lot of flavors, and they’re quite generous with the quantity(small gives you two scoops, equivalent to a JP Licks medium). I got Green Monster(mint cookies and cream with fudge) and Kahlua(coffee cookies and cream with brownie bits), which were both good, but a tad bit too heavy on the cream/custard side of things…

Great little ice cream shop in the older part of town. Very good selection of ice creams and a smaller selection of frozen yogurts. We settled on the frozen yogurt. The Heath Bar was tasty as was the Oreo cookie. Portions are very generous and prices are reasonable. The staff behind the counter was friendly and helpful. There is seating inside and outside.

My favorite ice cream place in town!!! Why? Ice Cream is YUM — great selection. Service is A+ It’s FUN to go there. The courtyard outside is the best place to enjoy your sweet treat. The owner is a very cool, nice, true blue human — always w/a gracious demeanor.

You must try the German chocolate cake ice cream! This place is awesome. Huge selection, skim milk yogurt smoothies if you’re watching calories, and really friendly service. Just remember to bring cash, the don’t take credit cards!

This is our favorite ice cream shop in Marblehead. They have lots of great flavors and toppings. The staff is most;y kids, but they do a good job. The only downside is that it is cash only. Taking cards does offer some convenience.

I just missed this place when the y. closed for the night, and the fact that I’m super a testament to how awesome this place is. I want soft serve!

According to the friend who brought us to this cute little ice cream shop, they serve Richardson’s here. My kiddie sized cup for $ 3.45 brought me a scoop and a half(according to the girl who served me) of seasonal apple crisp flavored ice cream, but my cup was definitely not packed. My sampling didn’t give it justice. As I consumed my portion of the frozen treat, I came across a scattering of crunchy sweet bits that were just SOGOOD! Some seating inside and out. No public bathroom here, but they directed us to the bathroom in the supermarket downstairs.

Super cute little ice cream parlor. We stopped in here after over-eating at Jack Tar across the road. I asked for a small swirl soft-serve in a cone. If what I received is a small… god help those who order a large. The soft-serve towered over the cone by nearly 8 inches and I think that at the base of the cone I had a ½ inch clearance on each side. My fiancé literally said«HOLYJAYSUS» when the young lad behind the counter handed it over. :) Needless to say, I gave it the good old college try but about half way through I had to dump a bunch of ice cream in the trash so I could get to the yummy cone itself! I’m not going to complain about too much ice cream though. What’s the point of that?!

I like stopping by Coffey Ice Cream whenever we’re just out cruising with nowhere we really have to be. It’s a seasonal place, usually closing some time in the fall when the appeal of ice cream starts to fade, or maybe when the tourists start to fade. We locals eat ice cream year round! Besides the cute play on words in the name(Coffey is the owner’s last name. She often is seen working the scoop or doing paperwork in the shop), Coffey Ice Cream also has a cute setup, with a long counter where you can view the different flavors of ice cream and frozen yoghurt. They have some sugar-free and fat-free choices, to boot. The variety is pretty good. There are napkin dispensers on the wall, so don’t look for them on the counter. We park in a spot facing the shop, as there is a pretty courtyard garden there with birch trees and flowers, and we like to watch the families come with their kids. There are benches and some tables and chairs. The shop provides chalk for kids to draw on the pavement(good for making an impromptu hopscotch game), and it’s fun to watch them enjoy their ice cream and to play outside in such a nice setting. The ice cream itself is rich, tasty, reasonably sized and fairly priced. Not cheap, but not a ripoff, either. And if we get a float or ice cream soda, Ms. Coffey always gives us extras of the beverage part, in a tall metal frappé container that she lets us take out to our car and bring back when we’ve finished. It doesn’t get more mom-n-pop than that.

Aww nice small Ice Cream shop in Marblehead. A nice little table outside and cool little designs on the windows. My girlfriend brought me here while we were visiting her home town and we met up with one of her friends and her wonderful son who had a ton of fun with us. I am a big fan of places that remind me of my own hometown, small family oriented comfort or mom and pop stores are my thing. I got myself Cookie Dough ice Cream i think with some hot fudge and whip cream and i can’t remember what my girl friend got, prob something with Raspberry. It was very good though and she convinced me to try a cowtail candy, which i really cannot describe it, maybe it tastes like a milky way candy sort of? You can’t go wrong with ice cream and this place provides a nice little joly if your having a craving for it

Overpriced. Terry’s Ice Cream is far better in price, but has the same ice cream. Literally.

Three words: Vanilla Soft Serve! This is the last place I ate soft serve before I gave up ice cream. Coffey’s did me up right with a towering swirl of vanilla anchored on a cake cup. I’m very grateful soft serve is impossible to find in the Bay Area. It would make me fall off the wagon.

I’m not sure if this is the only ice cream parlor in downtown Marblehead, but it might as well be. They have both soft and hard ice cream, and a nice selection of flavors to go with, and even some varieties of frozen yogurt as well. On a humid day, there’s nothing quite like a sugar cone from here to keep calm and collected.
