Flores Mantilla

My husband and I worked with Nancy, the owner of Flores Mantilla for our wedding this summer and she is amazing. You can tell just by walking into her store (and from seeing the beautiful exterior) that Nancy is extremely talented. Nancy provided the best service possible and was so responsive and was willing to meet us numerous times. She also was also so understanding when I changed my mind on the arrangements numerous times! When the flowers were delivered the day of — they were more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. The reception flowers and every little detail were GORGEOUS. Nancy even placed all of the fresh flowers on our wedding cake and I was in awe when I saw it — so, so beautiful! Nancy is the best and booking her for your wedding will be the best decision you make!

Please be advised when using this service that the business does not issue refunds even for mistakes that occur on their behalf. I called for a same-​day delivery of flowers to my mom’s office in the South End, thinking that their new Boston location was open right around the corner in the Back Bay. At the end of the call when I had to pay for my order, I was told that that location wasn’t open yet, and they were delivering from Marblehead. I wouldn’t have ever used a florist so far away, and would have cancelled my order but didn’t for fear of wasting their time. I now wish I had cancelled my order and used one of the local shops in Boston – it was my time that ended up being wasted by using Flores Mantilla’s service.
The flowers never arrived, with the simple explanation that the driver could not find the location. This to me was unacceptable. I paid a $ 15 delivery fee so that the flowers would be delivered on the day that I requested – a fee that would not have been levied by a local florist, as I could have picked them up. Had I not investigated to see if my mom had received the flowers, I don’t know if they ever would have delivered them.
I would be wary of doing business with this company. I rarely write Unilocal reviews, but I’m very dissatisfied with the lack of accurate information about their Boston location, and their inability to provide refunds even for mistakes on their end.

I work for a non profit organization and recently found myself in a bind regarding floral arrangements for a rapidly approaching event. I called Flores Mantilla– a business I always knew to be flexible, generous, and brilliant in their area of expertise. They did not disappoint. Not only were they able to fulfill my unreasonable request for 17 centerpieces needing to be made and delivered to Boston in 3 days time, but they did so at a price that, being a non profit organization, was very generous. The arrangements came out absolutely beautifully and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Will definitely be using Flores Mantilla’s services again!

Nancy Mantilla of Flores Mantilla designed the flowers for my wedding this May. All of her arrangements were just beautiful, and I was equally impressed by how she listened to my requests and made sure that she incorporated the elements that were important to me (right down to some gorgeous Lily of the Valley she had flown in from Europe!)
I could not have been happier with my flowers. They made our celebration so elegant and festive, and every time I look at my photos from the day, the flowers make me happy all over again. Thank you, Nancy!

Walk into Flores Mantilla to lift your spirits. Plants and flower arrangements crowd the floor and walls, up to the ceiling and out the door. Nancy Mantilla, owner, is a gem. The quality of flowers and plants is very high and the arrangements are very artistic.

I received Flowers from Nordstrom/​Salesperson and these were left outside my Home on a damp cool day. I never knew I received flowers as no one bothered to knock or ring my door bell even though I work from Home. When my Husband returned from work he found the flowers outside on my porch and not in great shape. I opened the card and immediately phoned the Company to ask why they left flowers unattended on a cool day. I was very disturbed with the conversation as Owner promised to phone me back — she didn’t so I had to phone Nordstrom to inform them of the experience.
I don’t agree at all with the review written prior as based on the arrangement, condition and unprofessional service, this florist wouldn’t be competition for any other Florist.
Don’t do business with this Company.

The Very Best
I should preface this review by stating that I worked for a premier flower shop for over 10 years in Boston and Cambridge, and know every aspect of the industry intimately. So, I felt a little guilty calling this shop at the last minute, but I had been travelling and was on my way up the coast to Marblehead for a weekend of theater and art, and it was my anniversary! The desk at the Inn where I stayed recommended Flores Mantilla, so I called and I ordered two arrangements over the phone form the owner Nancy, who instinctively knew what I needed. I called her at 12:30 leaving Boston for the North Shore, and by 5:00pm I had the most spectacular arrangements I’ve seen in the Massachusetts area in my room at the Inn. Bear in mind that it was Mother’s Day weekend, First Holy Communion chaos, and Prom Time, a Floral Trifecta! She pulled it off beyond my expectations, and within my time crunch. I had to stop by her shop to say thanks to her in person, and her inventory and presentation inside her business were magical, Her staff is wonderful, her style is impeccable, and she is one of then most endearing North Shore personalities you will ever meet. You will be completely enchanted with this shop, the people, and the product!

Watch out Winstons — Nancy Mantilla of Flores Mantilla is a force to be reckoned with. Nancy is a true artist when it comes to floral design — the beauty of her arrangements are rivaled only by the value that you get; her prices are extremely reasonable. Her shop is located in old Marblehead — it is as interesting as it is beautiful (there’s as many flowers OUTside of her shop as there are packed INside.
Nancy takes care of many of Boston’s luxury hotels as well as some of Boston’s most expensive private residences. The next time you’re looking for a uniquely beautiful arrangement — it is without at doubt worth the trip.
Rarely do I give anything a 5. I give Flores Mantilla a five — for the simple reason that we’re not on a scale of 1 to 6. Yes, she’s THAT good.
