Went there, a group of nine women, tonight, and the food was good. The prices very good also. Great salad bar. The drinks at happy hour were extremely reasonable. I ordered A ketel one martini which was eight dollars. The wine pores were generous. Our waitress at the table was fantastic. My major complaint is the fact that they have one bartender trying to make drinks for the bar and the restaurant. Way too much for one person. The duck was overcooked, but still good, but the cherry sauce was very pedestrian. The shrimp scampi was very good. Everyone had a good meal and everyone was satisfied.

From a bavarian point of view, I was excited to hear of a bavarian restaurant near my resort. Very disappointed. Only one German bier, Erdinger Weis bier in a bottle. Which is a favorite, but the local Applebees has more german bier. Even the server(who was nice) said, «we dont have much of a german beer selection.» And you call yourself a bavarian eatery? Even the Stella my wife ordered and then immediately returned was barely room temperature. To be sure, I am highly suspect of any«bavarian» establishment that treats the beer offerings with such high disregard. The salad bar was just gross. The second star was given because it was a german bratwurst and not a sams club sausage. Other reviews toute the other menu items as to die for… bavarischer? Nichts.

I wasn’t sure to expect when I first came to Konrad’s, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are very attentive and respectful. The food is great authentic Bavarian cuisine. The filet was excellent, and the potato latke rivals that of my own homemade recipe! Would come back again.

We went on a Tuesday were is Duck night and i love duck. They prepare it with different sauces. They had a salad bar. The place was full and the owner was around paying attention to all necessary details.

During our trips to Marco we always try to have a dinner at Konrad’s. We appreciate how he greets us at the door and says good night as we leave. We’ve never had bad service and we’ve always enjoyed the food. I especially like the Bavarian specialties. Tonight I had the goulash with spaetzle and red cabbage; my husband enjoyed his prime rib. Their cocktails are reasonably priced and good. We’re glad he has his salad bar again at this newer location.

My wife and I had dinner at Konrad’s. We both love German food and appreciate a good meal. I had the sauerbraten and my wife had the Bratwurst. We ended the night with a piece of home made strudel and a cup of coffee. If you are looking for a fancy place this might not be your cup of tea but if you want an amazing meal in a relaxed setting look no further then Konrad’s Island Grill

I would give zero stars but that is NOT an option. This food is overpriced a ton and so horrible, that I felt bad letting my kids eat it but they were so hungry. The chicken doesn’t taste fresh at all, the chicken Caesar salad tastes like mayo and anchovies and no other seasoning, the soup had fat chunks swimming around in it. We ordered a chicken st. Lucia and it came with freaking pinto beans instead of black beans. The chocolate mouse looked like a disgusting pile of chocolate mush and pudding. We are from Orlando and omg I don’t know why people from Marco island left 4 stars!!! This place is the worst place I’ve been to in years. My sister called to complain and the owner didn’t even care. Please don’t order from here.

This place was pretty good, it seems most places here in Marco island are little holes in the wall. I ordered the filet and it was good! The salad bar is strange. The room is outdated and the whole place is a little confusing, not sure why it’s called a tropical grill. Make sure you get the apple strudel! Happy atmosphere!

First off, I did like this place. But it only narrowly avoided a 2 star on this review. Konrad’s throws off mixed signals in a serious way. I didn’t hate it, but I don’t think I would go back. And I don’t think I can(in good conscience) refer anyone else there either. Look, the food here is alright. You should know that. I had the grouper provencal, which was somewhere between $ 25 – 30. It came with a salad course, roasted carrots and potatoes, with a huge serving of pan-fried tomato/onion jam reduction. The fish itself was phenomenal and perfectly executed. I really enjoyed it. My husband’s filet was not the best, however. It was 8 oz, came with mashed potatoes(that were made from flakes) and roasted carrots. The steak itself was also on some(not good) slice of roasted potato. Like a tiny beef lifeboat. I thought it was cute, but apparently it was not tasty. My hubs complained the steak was old, or something. I took a bite and agreed something was off. And for the price it seemed a little. disappointing. Ok, the service was just fine although it was a little unrefined. We waited a long time to order drinks. And until the server got food out to a big group sitting behind us, he seemed very busy and not at all focused on us. The dining room is seriously outdated. Words can’t describe it. So is this place formal or informal? Service was ok once our server relaxed. My fish was great. My husband’s steak was not. We paid about $ 100. If you go do NOT skip the homemade apple streudel. It’s probably the third star in the review. I would go back to this place in a heart beat if the dining room was completely modernized. I would order something off their small Bavarian menu. Maybe that’s what I should have done the first time.

Didn’t stay.(Full disclosure I have over 10 years of server/bar experience and this makes me sad but the other members of my party had majority. And they were right.) Understaffed. Maybe just an «off night»… maybe. We all seriously started to channel Gordon Ramsey though. Made a reservation, arrived 5 – 10 minutes early but were still told it’d be a while, weren’t sat for 20 minutes, plenty of other tables sat before us. Ugh. No bartender. It appeared waitstaff was getting their own drinks. Cringe. Hostess abrasive. Sat down after the whole line was cleared and sat in what appeared to be a table not being used… as if the host sat us(and another party) and assigned servers from sections across the way to serve us. Messed up. Woman threw bread down scowling and when one of us said«hi how are you,» she didn’t acknowledge and walked away. :o/ We waited 10 – 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink(or food) order. Or say hello… The table sat behind, and after us, was already attended to by their server(again, not the server for this section of all the other tables). Just ouch.

We stopped in here tonight for dinner. OMG service was top notch and the food amazing! We ordered specials — tuna steak seated rare with rice and soy — so good! I had the grouper on the special menu. Both pieces of fish were so good and so plentiful! We were both so happy with our meal. We even got to chit/chat with Konrad who is a very amazing man! Great place — highly recommended.

Had a cheese burger with the fries, while the burger was spot on the fires left something to be desired in the flavor department. Also out waitress didn’t seem to understand what we were talking about when trying to explain to her my brothers soy allergy. Hopefully he doesn’t wake up tomorrow withs blazing migraine.

If you are on Marco island and don’t eat here, you’d be an idiot. Absolutely remarkable service and food. We were on our way to eat somewhere else and smelled the pleasant smells from konrads. Our choice was instantly made. It was the best choice I’ve ever made.

Went for the Thursday night Sauerbraten special. Sauerbraten was superb and the spatzle and red cabbage were the perfect addition to the meal. My wife had the Prime Rib, which she felt was cooked to perfection. Chocolate mousse and mango cheesecake ended a wonderful meal. The service was very attentive. Overall, a wonderful meal and service.

Excellent service. Great food. I had the wiener schnitzel and my husband had the prime rib. The weiner schnitzel tasted wonderful. I asked for a side of red cabbage which was very yummy too. The prime rib was tender and delicious. We topped the meal off by sharing the chocolate mousse which wss so rich and velvetty — to die for. The owner, Konrad, was very attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. Looked like alot of locals were dining here too which is usually a good sign. We would definitely go back and do recommend this restaurant to others.
