Marriott’s Crystal Shores

This is one of the greatest properties on the Island. The rooms are large and comfortable, the pool is always clean and welcoming and the staff is world class. Stilts is a perfect place to watch the sunset. We live on the Island and visit this property frequently.

We loved this resort and we cannot wait to go back! The views were amazing and the room was gorgeous!

Unfortunately as a Platinum Marriott Rewards member and long time Marriott Vacation Club owner I have to give the check in staff, sales staff and marketing package team a 1. I have never been more disappointed at what was quoted vs. provided in my 20 years of traveling. Please be sure if you book here they clearly describe room types and package benefits. If not you get the run around, different stories and absolutely no offer to make your stay better!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with kitchen for a 4 night stay. A friend owns time share points and he invited us to help use them for a vacation with his family.
The resort is right on the beach, accessed by a walkway. Short enough to make frequent trips to the resort bar for refreshments. You will want to rent beach umbrellas and lounge chairs to be most comfortable. This is not included with your stay.
The pools are great if the ocean isnt your thing. Lounge poolside, raise the «service» flag and a friendly server will take your drink order. Easy to get used to, tough to leave behind!
We were unfamiliar with the timeshare concept. Upon check in we were approached by the timeshare manager and encouraged to schedule a meeting to discuss how the timeshare system works. I felt obligated to attend in return for a relatively inexpensive vacation courtesy of my friend. Learning how it works was an eye opener and after leaving the meeting I was intrigued. Essentially if you plan on vacationing and staying at Marriotts regularly, in the long run this point system does make sense. Think of it as mortgaging your vacation future. Pay off your points over time and then you can stay at Marriott resorts for free. The pitch was mostly low pressure, except at the end when the expectation was to have our decision and if we left the room, any incentive specials were forfeited. I managed to convince him that we need at least that night to consider. We weren’t ready to commit but as I mentioned, the concept is interesting if you like the concept of investing in future vacation stays.
We had a great stay and the room was incredible. The construction as they expand the resort was mildly annoying but not a deal breaker. Great beach and great family resort.

My parents are MVC owners at Crystal Shores. We go for a couple of weeks every March and it is always a very nice family vacation. There are usually air conditioning issues every year, but their friendly staff is always on top of getting it fixed. We will continue to go every year!

Outstanding resort! Great beach and two pools to spend your time in the sun. 2 and 3 bedroom units avail (fyi), I have always stayed in the 2 bedrooms/​2 bath/​full kitchen units that are beautiful and well kept! The patio/​balcony at these units is just unseen any where else. Its at least 12 by 8ft and extends from the sliding glass doors in the living room down to the master bedroom sliding doors. Room for a 4 person table, two loungers and standing room ! Its huge! Quinn’s casual restaurant on site and handles the pool catering also, nice chairs with flip up flags for when you need a cool refreshing drink. Quin’s has the best spot for sunset watching as its an open air restaurant on stilts that sits right on the ocean dunes behind the building. Plenty of activities at the resort as most Marriott properties have and you can actually walk up the beach to the Marriott Marco Island resort hotel for additional restaurants and spa access. My 1 complaint is having to truck your luggage by two pools to get to the elevator to your room. not very cool to weave around folks relaxing by the pool. for them or yourself. Get some bell hop staff Marriott. This is not a large property but its got a nice upscale presence and very enjoyable. Bonus is that restaurants are directly across the street which are great for dinning.

This place is niceeeeeeeeeeee, In a great spot right on the beach where all the action is. It has a nice but overpriced bar, some cool activities, movies outdoor, cabanas with TV’s a pool slide for the kid in all of us. Organized activities like beach fishing, short trips to local attractions. Location, location location!

This has to be one of the most amazing places to stay on Marco Island — or really anywhere on the Gulf Coast!
We only got to stay for one night — which stinks because there is just so much to do there!
This isn’t a normal Marriott — it’s part of the Vacation Club. We are not members, but were able to get a room.
We actually had the two-​bedroom villa, which was amazing. It has two spacious rooms, one with a king bed and a giant bathroom. The master suite also has a very nice walkout balcony that overlooks the gulf.
The other bedroom has two queen beds and floor-​to-​ceiling windows overlooking the gulf.
There’s a bathroom in the hallway that also has a spa tub and shower.
The unit featured a full kitchen complete with all sorts of beautiful pots and pans. There was a dining area and full living room area with a huge flat screen tv.
My favorite part of the room was the balcony off the living/​dining area. It was a HUGE outdoor balcony that had a table for four and two lounge chairs. We were up on the 10^th floor overlooking the gulf and I didn’t NOT want to leave that lounge chair!
But alas, I had to.
The hotel has its own walkout to the beach, which is full of shells. They also have a rental area for jet-​skies and para sailing.
The hotel itself has two pools. One of them had a waterslide, the other was in a cool block shape and had a nice zero-​entry area. Both pools had a lot of chairs and lounge areas along with rent-​able cabana space.
There’s an area for shuffleboard, oversized chess, cornhole and more. During the day there are all sorts of activities including a race car building class for kids and they have a track to race it on.
Another cool idea — at the elevator area there was a book exchange — you could take a book that you want to read — and leave a book behind for others. It was a great idea!
There is one restaurant at the hotel, Stilts. It’s an open-​air restaurant/​bar area that is family friendly. The good is great but a little pricey. Keep in mind that you are paying for the view!!! It’s worth it!
This hotel defines luxury! If you get a chance to stay at the Crystal Shores — don’t pass it up!

Stayed at this resort for 4 nights recently. It was awesome and is conveniently located on the island. Our 2 bedroom ocean view suite was spotless, luxurious and met all our needs! As we entered, we were blown away by the view offered by the large folding floor to ceiling glass doors that ran the entire length of the kitchen and living area! We immediately headed out to the balcony to take in the view and the sounds of the ocean! The master bedroom also had a balcony and the 2^nd bedroom had floor to ceiling windows that offered the same fabulous views! The pillow-​top mattresses and plush linens on the beds were very comfortable. After settling in, we ran out to buy snacks and vino, so we could put that balcony to good use. This resort is large. It had two pools (one with a slide for the kiddies and one for adults) and direct beach access! They have some really nice cabanas poolside that you can rent! There’s plenty of parking for guests, and the front desk staff is helpful! Can’t wait to return!

I feel like i’ve died and gone to heaven, this place is nothing short of amazing!
The moment you walk into the hotel room your questioning whether is even possible to recreate the design an breath taking view from the balcony back home in Miami. I felt like I was in my own little chic apartment.
There is no real hotel feel, everything is very inviting. One of two most mesmerizing things found in the hotel rooms is 1. the dual shower head walk in shower… absolutely amazing, both shower heads were very different and also had to additional shower heads that spray water across so you get the feeling that you are being showered from every angle, there is also this amazing marble wall to wall seating area, very romantic. The second most mesmerizing thing is the wrap around balcony that gives a breath taking view of the beach. Since the hotel comes with a fully furnished kitchen and everything you could possibly need to cook we were able to make our own breakfast and set up shop on the dining table conveniently located on the balcony facing the ocean.
Due to the rainy weather we weren’t able to enjoy the pool or the beach, so our comfy bed was the next best thing, but the hotel does have some amazing fully equipped cabanas that I think anyone would die to stay in! They also have a pool table and a human sized chess board game for folks to play with. Overall, I believe they do have enough to keep their occupants entertained.
If you ever have an opportunity to come to this hotel, it is well worth the rate! This is definitely a hotel I would come to again, although everything closes early and its very quiet in this area it is worth it! A great way to spend our 5 year anniversary!
