Samis Pizza Grande

Ok this place is great!!! We ordered calzone and Stromboli and they are so good. Lots of pepperoni and other ingredients and the dough was really good! The marinara sauce was great too. Went here on a Friday night when everything else had along wait. We got our food quickly and had great service. The staff was very nice. I hear they have great tacos at lunch. I will be back!

Well we bought in on all the hype and were disappointed. #1 it took 100 minutes to get our pizza delivered after being told 30 – 40 minutes, #2 we had no idea you had to ask for sauce because having eaten pizza all over the U.S., we’ve never had it without some sort of sauce. Make sure what you’re ordering HAS SAUCE or ask for it. The «crumbled Italian sausage» we ordered were lumps of sausage dotted on the pizza, not what we consider crumbled but whatever… It’s definitely not my favorite pizza and we probably won’t order again.

Sami’s is a lot of things, but everything it does, it does well! Part convenience store, part restaurant, you might have some doubts about what you’re in for, but trust the Unilocalers here.
I stopped in for a quick bite over the lunch hour and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard good things, but Sami’s exceeded my expectations.
The pizza was really good! But even better? The tamales! On Thursdays, the employees whip up a batch of delicious fresh tamales. We enjoyed the jalapeño, cheese, and chicken tamale. I believe the flavor is different each week, but no matter what it is, it’s worth trying! Ours was filled with fresh jalapeños, big pieces of tender chicken, and melty cheese. So good!

Best on Marco Island. We stopped by one night for pizza met owner who is a great host.
Two weeks later we had a gathering and order 11 pizzas to be delivered at a special time. The said they would be there and the were. Everyone said it was the best.

Good pizza in cities other than NYC? YES, my friends it *does* exist.*
My parents and I ordered carry out from Samis and were very happy with our pizzas. I got a Margherita and my parents got a Supreme. Thin crust, solid sauce to cheese ratio (though, mine didn’t have sauce, just olive oil), favorable selection of toppings to choose from.
The owner is super friendly and told my Dad and I if we didn’t like the pizza he’d give us our money back three time over. Haha. Well, we enjoyed our pizza, so, no worries there.
If you dine in they do have a cooler with bottles of wine and beer!
Also, they sell slices of pizza. Winner!
I’ll be back next time I’m in town.
*For all those pizza snobs who think NY (oh, wait, I have become one of those people who is proven wrong time and again!) is the only place to have good pizza. :grin:

Best pizza in Marco… ordered it for the kids last night, went back for another one the next day

Don’t hesitate to give this place a try. I used to have a job making pizza in high school, and Sami’s does it right. Hot, fresh ingredients, and great taste balance. Best of all, you know this team goes out of their way to ensure your experience is optimal. Keep up the great work Sami’s!

This was really good pizza with huge slices. We got carry-​out of 2 pizzas and an order of garlic knots, and it was plenty for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. My only complaint is that the pepperoni made the pizza super greasy. The slices are huge and really tasty.

Traveled to Marco Island from NYC. Sami’s pizza is great. Quality ingredients. Thin crust. Best pizza on the island. They have a few small tables inside but we picked up and ate it by the pool at the Marriott. Also great fresh made tacos and other Mexican food. They run out of the Mexican food by late lunch time so get there early!

Best pizza in the area. Sami is a class act and an elite entrepreneur. This is a must try while on Marco.

We go to Sami’s regularly to pick up pizza for lunch. We’re from the Northeast and this is seriously great pizza! The staff is friendly, the owner is almost always there and he greets everyone with a big smile and calls you by name. Try the gyros there too… so yummy.
Next thing we’ll be trying is the Football Party Pack. Pizza & wings delivered on game-​day. Go Pats!

One of the best, quick, affordable place in north collier st. Very friendly staff and great menu choices. I had their pepperoni, cheese pizza slices and also Gyro on pita. If your relaxing in the beach and didn’t want to go too far for a bite Sami’s is the best option.

We had given up finding a decent pizza on the island. We have tried them all. Frankly I’ve had better pizza from a vending machine than any pizza joint on MI.
This rainy Sunday afternoon we wanted pizza. After reading the reviews we decided to give Sami’s a go. Obviously a Quick Stop is not the place you would think produces a quality pie. You’d be wrong!
The crust was thin and capable of keeping its shape when lifted from the box. Usually you are forced into a life support maneuver to get the other pizzas offered on the island to your plate.
The sauce was just right! Great flavor and not overdone with the amount on the pie nor the spices. We had the Samo pie. It had the right amount of everything.
Don’t hesitate to get a pizza from Sami’s! We are looking forward to trying the other items offered on the menu.

First time in town for my birthday and I stopped in and enjoyed the lamb gyro. Owner was really friendly and helpful to us and our kids. I highly recommend trying it out.

A lot of people claim to have «NY Style» pizza and very few live up to the hype. Having family in NY, and visiting several times in my life, I can say with absolute certainty, that this pizza is where its at!
Its not just about the thin, but soft crust; Its about the sauce! Short of my favorite pizza place in the Bronx, this is the next best thing. Truly, the best pizza on the island!
Just to clarify, this isn’t a place you bring a date too. This is located inside Sami’s Kwik-​Stop. There are about 4 – 5 tables inside and 3 tables outside. It seems delivery and to-​go orders are the most popular.
The customer service is also some of the best I had ever had. Sami greets you right away as you walk in, his staff was very friendly and took our order right away. We grabbed our beverages and headed to the register to pay for our medium pie with extra cheese, ½ of it with pepperoni and garlic. We also ordered the Sami Gyro. The gyro came to us in about 10 minutes but the pizza was taking forever (you can see the staff hand tossing and preparing the foods in the back wall of the kwik-​stop). After 25min, one of the staff members brings my husband and I 2 slices of cheese pizza that Sami has sent over to us as an apology for the delay and promises our pizza will be out in 3 more minutes. Turns out, our pizza was done in 15 seconds! We ended up packing up our apology slices to go!
That kind of customer service is refreshing to find.
The gyro was ridiculously good and generously sized. This place gets a lot of hype for the pizza but the Sami gyro was off the chain! Talk about fresh tasting and on point with the flavors of the sliced meat, the perfectly pillowy pita, the creamy tzatziki sauce and the grilled veggies… yum!
In addition, that soft serve ice cream machine was being emptied to get cleaned out and we walked away with 2 complimentary cups of soft serve!
Will I return? Absolutely! Tell my friends? Most definitely!

The often used and claimed «Authentic New York Style Pizza» is one that you can easily stumble into… the taste however is not as common. Having been raised in the big city it’s a taste I am all too familiar with. That being said, Pizza Grande has given me a true taste of HOME. From the absolutely exceptional familiar service to the fresh ingredients, hand tossed dough, and a plethora of selections both on the menu and on the selves, this place is a must.
Very proper and professional staff that makes you feel like a regular. It was truly a marvel to see a place hit the mark with both the quality of their cuisine and the ability to execute true customer service on such a high level.
