The term Customer Service does not apply to office staff. Rude and never helpful. We have been customers for 17 years and the last time I called was that, the last. We switched to another company and their service is great.

I called to have a recycle bin replaced due to the broken cover, several months ago. That service call was handled by Lynn, and it was taken care of very quickly. I called again today, as our bin was corroded in the back & animals are entering & pulling out the garbage. Lynn handled my call very professionally and will send a request to have it replaced. Thanks for the great customer service!

Very disappointed in their response to having broken my tote and then not having the courtesy to inform me.- the lid was completely pulled off and gone. Just left it for me to find and make the phone call ourselves to replace. We are now supposed to just«leave it out and they’ll get to it when they can»… Up to a two week wait!

I have used MDC for over 10 years and service has always been great on the collectors end. I have had a few glitches with office staff over the phone but problems have always been resolved. I have read comments about trash being left behind or mess left and I have not had that problem but I have witnessed the collector leave spilled trash at the stop. Not that he caused the spill but improper packaging on the neighbors part was more to blame. All in all I am pleased with MDC.

I’ve never wanted to review a garbage company until they neglected to pick up the garbage on a hot summer day. I never even considered a review when I get home every garbage day and need to pick up the garbage, recycling, and yes, even a dirty diaper blowing around the yard(and I don’t have small children). For some reason they didn’t pick up my garbage on Wednesday. OK, they took the recycling and yard waste, just a mistake. However I called Courtney at 10 am Thursday and was told to put the can back out front. That was done five minutes later, yet when I got home from work the full can was still there. She had told me she’d call if there was going to be a problem, but there were no messages and a worse smelling can of hot garbage. I called Amanda Friday and was first told someone didn’t come until Friday early and I should have somehow known I was to leave the can out on the third day as well, and I was then told someone came on Thursday at noon and there was no garbage out. Maybe if the city amends it’s laws regarding having cans out I can just leave it by the curb and one day they will come by and collect the trash, or will they still have an excuse for not taking it? They missed my garbage. Stuff happens, Maybe the guy was distracted, people forget. I can accept that. However, I don’t need a bunch of fluctuating excuses when I call the company to see why the garbage is still stinking in the hot sun, e.g. I was supposed to leave it again overnight, the guy came Friday morning, the guy came at noon Thursday. Pick one excuse for failure and stick with it, it’s more convincing. If you have a choice in waste disposal companies and value good customer service and dislike getting a load of BS to go with your old garbage, think twice about using this company.

As they say«garbage in, garbage out». And that is what comes out of some of their customer service employee’s mouth who has no desire to solve or assist, it’s just not in their culture. They blame the customer and leave the customer uninformed. We finally had it with them after decades of getting«garbage» from them both at our offices and residence. Nice to have competitions to choose from and MDC isn’t one of them.

I tried hard to find a reason to give MDC a lower rating but came up blank. Unlike some providers MDC doesn’t only offer a monthly fee service. The price per 30 gallon bag is an incentive to recycle. We typically use only two stickers each month and have our curbside recycle picked up curbside for free each week. That means we have all our trash and recycle removed for approximately $ 5 per month, The guys working my route are always professional and friendly. On the one occasion they forgot to take my recycle, one call to the office and the truck returned later that day. So… My experience appears to differ dramatically from the other reviewer.

This is by far the worst, most uncooperative, and incompetent disposal company I have ever dealt with. If you have a choice, avoid them like the plague. If your city or town hires them, make sure you vote against the officials who approved them in the next election. They have no concept of customer service. They charge outrageous fees for any special services, and if they are too incompetent to get the service right, they will try to charge you extra to correct the problem. Just terrible.

If you have a choice in your garbage service, DON’T use these guys. I live in a small town north of Kingston, IL, and every time they have a sub driver on our route(which is about every two weeks), our garbage is not picked up. I call, they tell me there was a sub driver and that my garbage will be picked up the next day – and it never is. So, I have 2 weeks of garbage piling up with nowhere to put it until someone finally comes and gets it. This has happened 6 times now. It’s getting pretty ridiculous, and the fact that I keep getting the same crappy excuses and nothing has changed has really got me a little ticked off. I don’t care if there is a sub driver; I am paying for my garbage to be picked up EVERYWEEK, not when someone who knows the route remembers. If you would like to pay for shoddy service and the runaround when you call after your garbage is not picked up, then choose these guys. If you have a choice, look elsewhere – that’s what I’m doing. I’ve given them 6 chances, and they’re not going to get a 7th.
