We have been going to Aspens for several years and really love the atmosphere and the quality of the food. The fireplace creates a nice ambiance. We like earlybird specials and the carrot cake is awesome.

Brunch! $ 23.95. Let’s face it: brunch buffets in upscale restaurants are over-priced. But if you do it smart — i.e. skip the scrambled eggs station– you sort of get your money’s worth. I’m generally not a steak-eater, but they slice a sirloin that either has a rub or marinade that’s really flavorful. The restaurant features the requisite omelet station, excellent grits with gouda, lox(no bagels), French toast, a variety of breakfast meats. Cross the aisle and you’ll find lunch items: two types of chicken, beef stroganoff, squash casserole, etc. In essence, you won’t go hungry. Arrive at 12:30 — the earliest establishments can legally serve liquor on Sundays — and ask for the bloody mary special. $ 4 and delicious! Spicy, potent, rimmed with salt and pepper. And big! What a deal. If you don’t indulge in a mimosa or bloody mary, you’ll be pleased with the coffee. Strong and nicely brewed.

Had a good dinner. The place is a bit pricy, but the food is good. The wine list is pretty good also and the markup seems reasonable. Not the best steak in Atlanta, but if you do not want to go into town it is good.

Managed by a fast food reject… Here’s the deal. I enjoy sitting at the bar having drinks and oysters with friends. The wait staff is great also. I tip them well. The food is pretty good also. But when I reserved a room in the back for at least 30 people to drink and eat and give them 150 dollars to hold the room until i leave that should be enough. When the party was done the server comes out with a 3 inch bill for everyone none itemized. Well we got the ex-ihop manager out to explain. Stating he can’t keep up with the price of each table. It to confusing with parties. Stating we always get shorted a drink or two. Which most had tea since it was during the 23.95 per plate sunday brunch. The bill was over 900 dollars and the IHOP manager… not there’s anything wrong with IHOP. …was worried about losing a couple of beverages. Don’t know how he would know since it’s not itemized. WARNING! ! Large groups and parties go to macaroni grill next door. Your experience will be enjoyed until your out the door!!!

I don’t understand what happened to Aspens! This place is just not good anymore and it makes me so sad. You can get a better steak at Outback for a quarter of the price. This place used to be so amazing and now it’s less than mediocre. And the brunch isn’t the same either. Marlow’s has a great brunch if your looking for something like they used to have.

I sadly have to give Aspen’s a 2… it could have been a 3, but for the price it’s a 2. We decided to try Aspen’s since Bones was booked. I see I was not the only person to have a poorly cooked«Medium» steak. I’ve never had to send a steak back at Longorn, but I had to at Aspen’s. As I was trying to eat my poorly undercooked steak, I had a clearer understanding of how people choke on steak. The asparagus still had tough ends. The bread is ridiculously hard and not sliced — we didn’t even try to cut if for the mess it would’ve made. The butter that came with the bread was like horseradish or mustard seed spicy and not good. Service was ok, but not the level seen in comparably priced restaurants. Nice atmosphere but miles to go to justify the price. I have not been to Sedgwick’s Alpharetta area restaurants, but I suspect the West Cobb location may be the red-headed step child of the group.

My review is a bit late, but have eaten here about 8 times in the past and felt remiss. It is a bit pricey, but the quality is excellent and the food was really of a excellent quality, keep in mind that I think Hal’s and Rathburn’s are my top picks locally. We have gone to the brunch recently and was wonderfully impressed, everything from the bread on the table to the omelette/waffle stations were on target and made all of our guests pleased after. Great job and have a special love for the brown honey butter they have which goes great on the French Toast!

Gave Aspens another shot, heard there was a change in Executive Chef. This time, perfection and I didn’t have to cut into my steak to ensure it was right! So glad it’s improved. Servers are incredible as always.

If you want a good steak this is not the place to go. The last time My wife and I went to aspens our steaks were not cook the way we asked medium. When they came out my steak was well done and my wife’s was cook rare. We showed them the steaks and they argue with us and said that they were medium. I’m not a chef but I do know how to cook a steak. My wife and I went back with some other people today and we had the issue again none of our steaks were cooked properly and it took forever for our food to come out and they forgot to bring out the sides we had ordered. They didn’t bring them out until we asked about them. So I will never be going back. At least at longhorn you get what you order and it better.

For Sunday brunch in West Cobb, this place is ok. The biscuits were dry which is probably why they have gravy for it. Cheese grits made with Gouda was divine. The sirloin they had near the omelette station was tough and should have probably been sliced thinner. The pork loin was ok, but I expect these two meats to be better prepared for a steak house. The best thing at the Sunday brunch was the crispy fresh green beans and the key lime pie dessert. The rest, even our cocktails(ruby red martini and mimosa), could have been better. I must admit the wait staff is attentive and courteous, and the restaurants interiors are nice and relaxed. I’ll try the restaurant again for dinner, but as for Sunday brunch I’ve had better in West Cobb.

I have been to the other aspens. This one has a similar, enjoyable atmosphere. Unfortunately, for the first time in probably five or six trips to aspens, the food was mediocre at best. The goat cheese fritters were described Best by my wife, as «mushy». The prime rib that I had was almost cold, appropriately cooked in the center, and seemed to be a good cut of meat. Just saying that they picked up some«extra» steak that was left over. The shrimp and grits were pretty good. The fries were excellent. The fresh made bread is always amazing. The mixed drinks were amazing. I’m just not willing to pay another $ 100 for a good drink, good fries, and a steak that would be given a C minus at best.

Prime rib was very good. Trout was good. Little small but it was early bird. Asparagus and baked potato were also very good as a side. Early bird prices make it not too bad on wallet.

Went there for a family night out for dinner and decided to try a place we have never visited. It was not very busy. We were there early though. We ordered Adult drinks and Kid drinks — kid drinks came quickly however, the adult drinks took forever… Based on that experience we decided to order the whole meal immediately. We ordered Kids steak and the adults ordered the fillet and rib-eye. We had several issues when the food came: –Salad had cheese and it was ordered without it.(not such a big deal…) –Fillet was ordered medium — it came half medium and half uncooked(raw). –Ribeye was ordered medium well — it came COLD.(sent it back to warm it up) All of the sides were really COLD when they arrived — COLDMAC n CHEESE… There were alot of apologies — but the quality control was terrible. My kids woke up this morning completely sick. Needless to say — we wont be going back.

Although the atmosphere is great & the food is of excellent quality. the bartenders are rude & ignore you if they don’t want to serve you. Wine tasting & Georgia is always fun!

The wait staff was very friendly. The drinks from the bar were very strong. I was told the bar tender was«old school». The drinks were to strong to enjoy. The food was good however.

Going to have to give this place a 3, even after reading all the reviews. The reasons are as follows. Positive: Loved the atmosphere. Had a nice fire and pictures that gave this place a great ambiance. The food was DELICIOUS. A little small portioned depending on what you got, but everyone seemed very satisfied. Negative: the waiters were a little, how would I put it, «slow.» The seating really wasn’t that spacious. As stated above the food was very portioned depending on what you got. WARNINGDONOTGOINGROUPS. Though this event was free for me, I hold solid even after reading every last review. Things I don’t really agree with. The food was warm(hot), and the serves aren’t rude they are just a little challenged. The food does take a while to get to the table, but as stated that is why I recommend NOT going as a group. That is all(probably wouldn’t go but for a date, if even that). Oh and price wise, don’t expect to get drunk, and if you’re looking at getting full, you better have $ 20 for yourself for two meals cause it’s to better be safe than sorry.(Meaning you might not get full.)
