We had high hopes for this place. Some polar reviews but nothing too terrible. Well, we knew it would not be up to our standards as soon as the lo mein noodle dish came out, black with hardly any vegetables and very few shrimp. Needless to say, it was too salty with way too much soy sauce. No other taste. Then the seafood special came out with artificial crab meat and again very few shrimp and way too much vegetables. Then the tangerine chicken with strange looking thin fried strips, this time with no vegetables. Finally the walnut shrimp, which was the only decent dish, but again with way too much soy sauce. The rice was nice and fluffy, but for the first time, my family did not want to box up any leftovers to bring home. I wish the food had been better. We will not going back there, if not for listing kimchi as a Chinese dish then for the quality of the food we ordered.

This restaurant has been our best bet for local Asian for years, but I don’t know if ownership or chefs have changed but I’m giving it three strikes and you’re out. The last three times I’ve gotten takeout from here this year it’s been very disappointing and nowhere near as tasty as in the past. The mamasan and yellow curries were awful; the dumplings tasted like they came from a freezer bag and I suspected the special noodle order I’d not had any trouble with for years(a spicy basil noodle dish made with tofu and broccoli instead of seafood/no fish sauce), has had zero thai basil and tasted suspiciously like the seafood had been picked out– and the last time, yes, there were three shrimp left behind. The fried rice tasted mainly of salt and had very anemic amounts of any vegetable or egg in it. Basically, the flavor and quality isn’t what it used to be. Where are the herbs? The spices? The flavor? Time to start looking around.

I am never in this area, but I came to visit my friend’s sister’s restaurant so he could take a look at my car! As we waited for him to examine the issues I was having with my car, we went ahead and settled in for dinner. My friend recommended the Thai dishes as the best options on the menu. The server brought us fried wonton chips that you would usually toss in egg drop soup for us to munch on while we decided on our orders. The Thai teas we asked for were pretty good. Wished there was more of it! My dinner companion ordered the beef Massaman curry and I got the chicken Penang curry. Both were pretty tasty, although I preferred the Massaman to my order. The chicken Penang was chock full of bell peppers and veggies but not enough chicken or curry sauce for my preference. I liked how much beef and onions were in the Massaman curry. Overall a solid Thai option. I have no idea if the Chinese dishes are good, though. I’ll have to give it another try for those!

Excellent fresh food. Nice ambience and great service. I will DEFINITELY come back. Had the cashew chicken. Al dente vegetables and a nice brown sauce. Very flavorful

Great place for Chinese or Thai food. Roti canai and the Thai salad are both really good! The vegetarian meat options are also yummy, but portions are not as large as the regular meat entrees. Ambiance is good, though they always want to seat people on the right side of the restaurant unless you specifically ask to be seated elsewhere. Gave it 4 out of 5 because we NEVER get the little Chinese crunchy things that everyone else seems to get, even when we ask for them! But the food is good, and price is right, so yeah, knocked down just one star. GIVEMEMYDAMNCRUNCHIESTHOUGH, FORCRYINGOUTLOUD! :D

This place was awesome. We order from here all time and it is great. They are the best Chinese delivery in the area. I commonly get the steamed dumplings, ginger salad, and pork lo mein and they are great. My husband is always pleased with his thai hot chicken dishes and my son with his fried rice.

It was our first time trying this place. We enjoyed the coconut soup which had a great galangal and lime taste, fresh basil rolls with peanut sauce. The chicken fried rice and massaman curry entrees were not as good as the appetizer and soup. Service was fast but the staff weren’t overly friendly. Will probably return to try other dishes.

Overall this is a very good chinese/thai place based off of nice food at solid prices and fast service. It’s really cool to go to one place and have the option of ordering chinese or thai Been here many times and used to give it 4 stars but now 3 ½ stars after last 2 visits. The slight downgrade is based off of little things with the dishes. For example, one dish didn’t have many vegetables while another dish had lots of vegs with not as much meat as previous visits. On the flip side, have not had a bad appetizer — recommend the crab rangoon and basil rolls. Some other positives are that portions are good size, rice is included with curry dishes unlike some places that charge extra, and the décor is snazzy. I will be back and hopefully give it a 4th star.

First time to try this place last night and we really liked it. The service was very good and so was the food. The portions were so big that we had a second round for lunch today, and even have a little more for tomorrow. I had the Hunan Duck and my daughter had the Almond Chicken. Both are very good. The pan seared dumplings were also very good. We’ve been looking for a good Chinese place close by. We’ll be back.

Becky’s place is excellent! Try the coconut soup you’ll thank me. Incredible variety on the menu. Great location across from The Avenues.

Been there four times ever since their opening and have yet to be disappointed. For those looking for a nice dinner without the Chinese authenticity, then look no further. The soups are a great place to start.

When they first opened I would have given it 4 stars but since then the food is very inconsistent. BIstro box lunch is the way to go and the kids plates are basically a full order. Lo mein tastes like ½ cooked dried out old cardboard noodles. Plan on $ 50-$ 60 for a family of four. Red curry chicken is pretty good but nothing special but hey, at least they serve it around here. Best item on the menu? $ 5.99 for 8 huge wings swimming in brown sauce w/a scallion or carrot here and there(order them extra crispy or even better with sauce on side). Extra charge for soup to go. Tread cautiously on this joint, staff is hit or miss. Pretty clean though and open atmosphere.

Just came home from this place to find that 80% of my order was wrong. My daughter got the general chicken and we ordered mild and got home and it was so very not mild and the chicken was soggy and they gave her white instead of the fried rice i ordered. My wife isn’t feeling well so I got her some soup, i ordered the egg drop and I get it home and its mixed with what looked like hot n sour which to me is friggen disgusting i’m glad she liked it but I couldn’t have any was nasty to me. Then I ordered for myself chicken friend rice, if not for the soy sauce it would have no flavor. Save your money and go elsewhere this place is terrible. I’ll never go again. If you want to go to a good place let me know I have a great one I usually go to but they were closed. :(

Tasteless. Based on the reviews, I stuck with Thai. I ordered basil rolls, coconut soup and masaman curry. Everything was bland and tasteless excerpt for the soup. The soup had an odd taste that I have no idea how to describe. This is no where close to what this food should taste like.

First time here but I plan to be back since my new job is around the corner. They have fairly priced Thai and Chinese lunch specials. Service is mediocre, he only brought my food but never checked to see if I needed anything else. The red curry I had was ok. Can’t wait to try some of the other lunch specials.

The food is great here, great prices. the customer service is «meh» my husband and I came here and we wanted to split the bill, they still put the whole amount on one card and didn’t even seem to care that we wanted it split, like it would be a big deal to refund the amount. we left it on the one card and they made the joke that«now i just owe him» just very unprofessional. I come here for lunch a few times and i always get the same waiter with no personality. I might just have to get this to go from now on because the food is the only reason it deserves 4 stars.

I really like this place and love the coconut soup! We are regulars and I am sad to see that this place isn’t staying consistent :(we are starting to go try to new places since my favorite dish of Kung pow chicken is mostly just veggies with tiny thing of chicken here and there.

AMY, BEcky .you’all gotta travel a bit more. like Out of the USA. Im from NYC and have been around the Globe. with an emphasis on Asian cuisine. lived in Malaysia, China, Japan, now Philippines. Wife is from Phills. OMG this food is as Chinese American as Mickey Dees is to USA. You know what the Chinese call us Kwai Lo. White Devil. ha ha. well the service reflects that mentality. i stopped in bc of the Unilocal reviews now Im realizing most of you Atlanta folk dont get around much. Avoid this pitfall. want half way decent Asian food at a low cost .go to Hmart get some grocery and a entrée for $ 7. that will not set your stomach a grumbling for the toilet.

Well, Damn Sam! The ‘burbs just keep impressing me — at least the Marietta-E. Cobb version, that is! I’m still never going to actually *live* OTP but I definitely don’t mind being a frequent visitor when there’s good company(The Boy and his fam) and, as I’m discovering, a decent array of yummy places to eat and fun places to drink in the area. Who knew?! Tonight, dinner time rolled around and we had *that* decision to make. .. luckily, the decision was easy because I said«I kind of feel like Chinese,» and *shamwow!* he was thinking the same thing. We turned to Unilocal of course, since we were going to be up in Marietta at his parents’ place rather than in our B’head/Brookhaven neighborhoods, and needed suggestions — and preferrably a place that would deliver so there’d be no need to venture back out. Empress of China II had great reviews but, alas, they don’t deliver. Great Wall delivers but we’re just out of the radius. They were kind enough, however, to suggest Bamboo China Bistro — home run, y’all! Keeping with my try-one-new-thing-at-every-Asian-meal mantra, I tasted some of The Boy’s Thai Coconut soup. LOVE! Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this. Not anymore, I tell you, not any more! We also shared potstickers to start(note: they offer steamed, lightly pan-seared and heavy pan-seared, a nice variety), and they were tasty and a sure bet. My entrée was the Moo Goo Gai Pan, with the«adjustment» of getting all-green veggies — they did snap peas, string beans, celery, and broccoli — and got white rice and a side of fried rice. Delicious. He got the chicken panang and thought it was great; a tad soupy, but very flavorful. Generous servings, which are warranted because most things on the menu are a dollar or three more than you find at lots of places. Delivery came in under the quoted time(30 minutes) and honestly, everything tasted like you’d expect it to if you had it brought to you in the actual restaurant. Two thumbs, er, chopsticks, up!
