Eyes On Providence

I just came homer from an eye appointment for my son and myself at this practice. From the moment you walk in, all the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Patel is quite thorough in her exam, and takes her time with both with the examination and any questions we had. I found the entire experience to be a really great one and would recommend Dr. Patel and her practice to everyone!!! They also try very hard to help with any insurance you have to get it covered.

Every thing about this office is amazing! The doctor spent lots of time with me talking to me and getting to know me and my eye needs. The selection of frames is awesome. I highly recommend dr. Patel!

I am glad I have some that agree with me. Thank you Henry and Jennifer. There are soo many eye doctors in East Cobb, why would one settle for this one? Both my husband and I had issues and what is sad is we thought with the transition from Dr. Cross (loved him — not his staff) to Dr. Patel that things would approve. I should have known better. Had a contact fitting earlier in the year and samples provided sucked. Never received a call back to inquire on my satisfaction. I know businesses are busy — I get that. But, that should not be the standard excuse that businesses give out. As a customer that has already forked over almost $ 100 for a fitting, f/​up should be in the procedure manual. At this point, I was trying to find another good contact sample. I have been told that I must pay for another eye fitting at $ 100 a pop! I don’t think so. Second issue, hubby looked at glasses that were hundreds of $$‘s. He had them all picked out had the order basically ready to go — but wanted to check with me prior to ordering. He never heard from anyone. I will gladly go somewhere else.

The glasses offered here are great. Unfortunately, I was not as big of a fan for the doctor. She is slow to check on you, and I felt like I was not given a thorough eye examination. She did maybe two or three tests, which is much less than I’m used to. In addition, the lenses on the binoculars kept fogging up every time I put my eyes to it, which has never happened before at any other eye doctor I’ve ever been to. She was also not able to answer my questions to my satisfaction, and when I asked for clarification, I just got an even more confusing answer that didn’t seem to really answer my question. Then after I got my eyes dilated, I’m almost positive she forgot completely that I was even waiting on her. After about 30 minutes I had to step out of the exam room and find her. Her response was along the lines of «oh, are you ready?» I don’t know doctor, why don’t you tell me if I am ready or not… The one positive was the woman in charge of helping pick out eye glasses. She was patient and thorough in her suggestions and was able to help me pick out a pair of glasses that I loved. Note that the glasses here are more designer glasses and on the higher end of the price range. Unfortunately I waited until the end of the year to get my eyes checked, and this was the only place that took my insurance and had availability. I’ll try not to make that mistake again next time. Overall, since I was just getting glasses, I was happy with the pair I walked away with, albeit a little pricey. But I’ll be sure to shop around for other optometrists the next time around.

I told them about my insurance situation (allowance) before I made an appointment and they said no problem. Go to find out after the exam and when it’s time for payment they drastically overcharge for eye exams! Would not recommend this place when there are more affordable places right down the street. Check out other places before coming here!
Friendly people but overpriced.

After seeing all of the great reviews here– I called to make an appt. and got one the same week. I also found out my current prescription wasn’t as accurate as it could be– I’m so happy I can see better now!
This office is super cute and boutique-​like and doesn’t feel like a typical doctor’s office. Love!

I usually hate going to the eye doctor but this visit was quick and easy! Dr. Patel is great! She put me at ease about the allergy issues I was having with my eyes. She also gave me some samples so I could see what brand of contacts work best with my eyes.
I will definitely be going back when I need a new pair of glasses because her selection of frames is amazing! As an added bonus, the office is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Professional, attentive, helpful!

Dr. Patel and staff are fantastic! I had gone to a larger practice in the area and was treated like a number and not a patient. At the larger practice, I was given my glasses that made everything blurry but they told me that there wasn’t anything wrong with the glasses and that I just needed to get use to them. I never wore the glasses and never went back.
At Providence, they make sure that you are happy with their service and product throughout the process and make you feel like a patient and not a number.
I highly recommend Eyes on Providence.

Dr. Patel is fantastic. I’ve brought both of my daughters here to have issues checked out, and she was very good with them. They both felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed working with the staff.

When I originally came to the practice, it was owned by Dr. Cross. I really liked him and was happy with the services offered. At a follow up appointment, I was introduced to Dr. Patel and informed she owned the practice. Having been in optical sales and knowing how difficult it is to fit me for contacts, I thought «oh no, not a new, young doc! This can’t be a good». I could NOT have been more WRONG. Dr. Patel is phenomenal. She has worked tirelessly to help me find lenses that fit properly and deal with my dry eyes.
Dr. Patel and her staff are incredibly accommodating. I ran in at 4:50PM to pick up a pair of trial lenses. The office was to close at 5:00PM. Dr. Patel came out just to say hello and ask how I have been doing. The dispensary was kind enough to tighten my glasses despite being «off the clock». It did not end there. My 8 year old needs reading glasses and gets headaches from reading, computer and writing. Dr. Patel also asked about her. I told her we would be in next week since the office was closed. She insisted on seeing my daughter right then to confirm Dr. Cross’ findings so my daughter will have the glasses ASAP. We then selected frames and ordered the glasses. Dr. Patel did not even charge us for examining my daughter’s eyes, when she had every right to. We left the office at 5:40 PM.
Eyes on Providence is top notch and will get all my eye care business as long as Dr. Patel continues to own the practice.

Just moved to Atlanta and I was looking for a new eye doctor. I was getting headaches and my eyes had been feeling a lot of strain over the last couple months, so I wanted to get checked out. Dr. Patel and her staff were warm, inviting, and professional. She asked me a number of questions to get at what was causing my eyes to feel so tired by the end of the day and I really appreciated her attention to detail.
They also had a great selection of frames — unique ones too, which I liked. I just got my glasses yesterday and my eyes are feeling MUCH better. The gentleman who fitted my glasses said «these seem to be pinching into our head a little bit. Do you find that uncomfortable?» and then he showed me how he shaped his own glasses to be a little more comfortable. Mine feel great! Usually, places just give me my glasses and send me on my way so I really appreciated him spending more than 30 sec. fitting them right.
