Service was good, went with a group of 3. Two meals were perfect. Mine was not, chicken was a little under cooked. May try again one day only because other meals were good.

My go-to Chinese restaurant. I have been eating here for years, and it may not always be the best. The owners are friendly, and the recipes seem to switch up once in a while, but it’s nearby and edible. The egg drop soup was very thick, almost like jelly. The fried rice is greasy and a little bland, but the beef with broccoli is the best!

The food was extremely overpriced, burnt, and came in small portions. The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in, and I considered leaving because that’s a bad sign. We were hungry though, so we stayed. I wish we hadn’t. Canton House in Canton, GA is the place to go for delicious Chinese food.

Best Chinese in East Cobb. This has been my local place since I can remember. The food is always on point and the menu has a large variety. Annie and the staff treat you like family and every time we come theres always smiles and conversation. I prefer the shrimp & lobster sauce, Mongolian beef, and the mu-shu pork. The steamed dumplings are very good, as well as the egg rolls and the beef spare ribs. Also the sesame chicken and the egg foo-young is great. Pretty much all of it is good. The location is tucked away in a shopping center, almost hard to find. The interior looks very 90’s, hasn’t been updated but who cares, the food is what matters here. I have noticed lately that this place gets a good amount of business, but almost 95% of that business is take-out orders and people drive a certain distance for the food, which is a good thing in terms of food reputation and repeat business. Also, the do not use MSG. I repeat, no MSG. I have a family member that has severe food allergies with preservatives, and yet after 20+ years coming here, still no problem. I recommend this place for a budget-conscious and excellent Chinese food.

Food is so bad that even the fortune cookie was stale and rubbery. The fried rice is a joke I think they should Google the recipe for it. Never had it with just Rice and soy sauce. God forbid if they put 1 measly carrot in it. The soup is boring and bland. They cut corners to make a buck. If someone thinks the food is good they must of crawled out of a rock.

Six of us went to this place because one of our friends loved the eggplant dish. About 15 years ago, I had ordered the lobster. The meat looked black on the edges. The waiter said, «it’s good, no problem.» I got a bad case of food poisoning. Three days on the ceramic throne. House of Ming is terrible. Chin-Chin is so much better. Still very disappointed. Foodie beware! I was hoping that the quality had improved, but EUWWWW!

Top Notch. Has anyone been to China? Atmosphere, ambience, pictures on wall… LOL Who cares… The food is top notch and priced fair.

No complaints on the food. Though the complaint I had here was the service. They were extremely rude to my boyfriend. Laughing at him while he was ordering. We asked for extra soy sauce and she got angry with us and told us there was already a lot in there. Which I guess there was if you consider two packets a lot. I won’t be back. There are way too many other Chinese restraunts to go to one with this kind of service.

Food and service is always wonderful. They take your everyday favorites and bring them to a higher level of quality. Meat is fresh and hearty. Sauces are rich and flavorful. A favorite for years. Don’t change.

It was a first for me and my family. We love Chinese food and have had some marginal meals from time to time in our pursits. But House of Ming wins the prize for the worst Chinese food — no, the worst FOOD — we’ve ever had. Tasteless, rubbery, over-cooked, and completely without flavor. The Kung Pow chicken tasted the same as the Hunan beef. The lo mein noodles were soft and mushy, the shrimp was devoid of any flavor, and the vegetables were cooked beyond recognition. Even the rice was tasteless. Buyer beware. Avoid this restaurant.

The food was not terrible, per se, but it is comparable to below-average mall/fast food Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately, neither myself nor my wife were interested in finishing the second half of our orders. I ordered two combination meals for takeout: General Tso’s Chicken and Mongolian Beef. I was actually surprised when the entire order was only $ 22, but I soon discovered why. The low quality meat was overcooked and covered with a sauce that was more of a syrupy paste. General Tso’s is supposed to be hot and spicy, but that must have all been in the uneaten half because I didn’t get any heat. The rice(worst part) was dry and bland, and the egg roll(best part) was deep fried too long, causing it to be an okay egg roll inside a burnt hard shell. I look forward to good Chinese takeout and prefer genuine flavors with fresh ingredients. If that’s what you want, then look elsewhere. If, on the other hand, cheap Chinese is fine, then you’re better off going to the Wal-Mart next door and getting a Chinese frozen dinner that is likely as good or better while being less expensive.

We have been going to House of Ming for so many years. Truly the best Chinese in East Cobb. We love the staff and love eating in or taking out.

The atmosphere/décor is elegant. The food and service is great. Whether it’s your first time or twelfth they treat you like family. The Wor Won Ton Soup is perfect for a cold night. The spare ribs are delicious. There is plenty of items to choose from. This place is truly a hidden gem.

We go here all the time. Food is what you expect, good but not fantastic. However, the dumplings are great. We know the ladies here and they treat us like family!

Tried this place, because it was close by. Lady answering the phone and when I picked up the order, was very harsh and not pleasant at all. Chicken was overdone and didn’t taste good. The egg drop soup, and the egg roll was good. I will not go back to this place again.

VERY good food. I am an Asian food connoisseur, and I can taste when a restaurant takes shortcuts. Whenever I go to a new Chinese place, my «test dish» is sesame chicken. If it’s done well, then everything else will be good. If it sucks, then everything else will suck. My radar always goes up when I receive sesame chicken that is very red. Nine times out of ten it means they used ketchup in their sauce. That is a huge turn off for me! Most of those dishes are very soft and soggy – hate that! I am very pleased to say that House of Ming’s sesame chicken was NOT bright red or soggy! It was a dark red and very crunchy just the way I like it. It also TASTED like sesame as in they actually used sesame oil! The egg drop soup was a little different. They put carrots in it. It wasn’t bad. Just interesting. The egg rolls were awesome, but the fried rice was a little bland. I need to order a fried rice dish to see if it gets better. I wish they delivered because this would be my go to spot. At least I can stop there on the way home from work. Great place! Go there! Oh yeah, the service was very good too.

My family has gone here for 15+ years. Living at home and eating whatever my mom bought was one thing. Growing up and deciding to try some general tso’s chicken because it is delicious everywhere else is another. I always order combination dinners because we can share and usually get a little more food for our buck. The general tso’s was so super sweet, I only ate one piece. The Mongolian beef was okay but the rice noodles were soggy. All the soup I have ever had here has been super super bland, but I’ll eat the crap out of those fried thingys, anyday. I asked for pork fried rice in my combo’s instead of plain, which is usually no problem. She told me no and I would have to buy the rice separately, at $ 6 for a small, yeah right! They are highly over priced and I have found a better Chinese take out just down the road at Roswell and Robinson called Chopsticks. Its not like me to review and mention another place but after paying $ 5+ more for the same thing and being denied a request, I won’t be revisiting House of Ming.

I see these remarks are all at least two years old, so therefore, I do not feel bad with writing this review. Bottom line — I got food poisoning. Now, I know people say that all the time, but I can’t remember the last time I did. We ordered ‘lunch’ on Sunday soon after opening for take-out. The food MAYHAVEBEEN from the night before. I ate the egg roll(half of it) and won ton soup(less than half of it) which my husband did not eat. Otherwise, we ate the same food. The food was greasy as can be! The ‘fried rice’ was so overcooked it looked like risotto. Sorry to say — I was looking forward to this place. We just moved around the corner from it. Well, the food poisoning lasted for two days. Will NOT try again.
