Ohhhhh … now I understand the disparity in reviews. When this take-out place is good, it’s really good. When it’s bad … well, if I didn’t know what they’re capable of, I wouldn’t come back. Ordered what’s become my «usual» here — hot & sour soup and kung pao chicken. Not only was the soup somewhat watery, it tasted burnt! And the kung pao; hmmm. Chicken a bit undercooked and an overload of vegetables that tasted like rejects from the chopping block.(What’s the deal with all these broccoli stalks?) I’ll give Mr. Wonton one more shot, then I guess I’ll take my business across the street.

I’n VERY disappointed that my experience does not match those of some reviewers whose work I’ve come to trust and enjoy. We ordered staple Chinese-American takeout — fried rice, sesame chicken and beef and broccoli. The only redeeming dish that saved this place from a one-star rating was the fried rice. The sesame chicken was thickly coated, over-fried and served ina cloying sauce that tasted mostly of cornstarch. The chicken was so badly overcooked that it mostly resembled wood chips in both flavor and texture. «God-awful» would be an improvement. The beef and broccoli was composed mainly of broccoli stems, thick and under-cooked, combined with slices of beef that appeared to be either flanken or brisket cut with, not against, the grain, riddled with gristle and fat. Here again, the«sauce» was an unidentifiable, unflavored brown mass of cornstarch, as if a slurry had been added to the fat in the wok and allowed to overcook and over-thicken. For the first time in my life, I threw out both entrees. Only the fried rice reminaed for lunch the next day. That all being said, I may try this place again, based, as i said, on the reviews of those I trust, assigning my experience to «chef’s day off» or «one bad night.» But it will be a while …

This is my go to Chinese takeout! The general Tso chicken is amazing and the veggies are always crispy and taste fresh!

Best take out Chinese I’ve ever had! Especially good roast pork lo mein. Good egg rolls, wonton soup, and spare ribs. Everything we’ve tried we’ve been more than satisfied with.

Not bad. They have gotten a little bit pricey but not too bad. Their food is a little greasy, and they tend to use too much msg. But the girl at the counter is very professional and strictly business. Shangrala which is nearby, gives much bigger portions but they have fell off a little bit.

Fast and affordable, the food is very similar to other Chinese take-out. The lunch specials are available from 11am — 3pm with large portion sizes. Each lunch comes with fried rice and a spring roll or soup. The Kung Pao Chicken was good, however I would have preferred it to be a bit spicier. Overall, I recommend trying Mr. Wonton for a quick lunch or dinner.

Mr Wonton has been consistently good for a few years. They are definitely my choice when getting reasonably priced Chinese takeout. They do have a couple of small tables, but it is primarily takeout. Definitely worth trying.

It’s cheap and decent takeout Chinese food, if a bit greasy. Service is quick.
