Pine Straw King

These guys were excellent I called on a Friday Midday asking for a Saturday delivery. When I got home Friday the pine straw was neatly stacked on the side on my yard. I was given two options for product and was told the slightly more expensive was much superior. Ryan was correct and the 50 bails I ordered covered what 75 had in the past. These guys are people of their word and more than happy to give suggestions. I will be using them from now on for my landscape needs. Read less

I have used this company for several years with great satisfaction… however, last week … a very different story. I was released from the hospital on Monday… my neighbors son volunteered to put down mulch for me… while he was on spring break, so, On Wednesday, April 10^th I went to Pinestraw king to pick up some pine straw, as I had been there many times. I ask the worker in the office, how many pine bales my car could carry, as this was a new car and I had no idea. He asked if I wanted slash or the long needled and I replied I would take the regular. He instructed me to drive to the back and someone would load it for me, and I could come back and pay. So I drove back and a fellow in the truck waved for me to come and l complied, and he proceeded to load my car with 14 bales. I gave him a $ 2.00 tip… I went back up to the office to pay, and the worker behind the counter was on the phone, and I kept waiting and waiting for him to assist me, especially since I was not feeling well… then another employee came in and announced they had put the long needled bales in my car. the other worker still on the phone… for awhile… finally instructed me to go back and they would exchange the bales for me. I suggested he give it to me at the same price and he replied… why should I do that? I replied that there was no sign back there, and I was waved to the wrong truck… so it wasn’t my error. He advised me to drive back there and they would exchange them for me. (I might add rudely) I went out started my car, but then decided I would go back in and pay for the long needled bales anyway… so I went back in to pay… and he again was on the phone… and seemed not to even acknowledge I was there… I said finally, Since time was of the essence… I would go ahead and pay… He rudely… stated he was not going to sell them to me… hurriedly went out the door to my car, and angrily opened my truck and quickly slung each bale out onto the ground… He said for me not to come back there again EVER! I have not idea who he was angry with but I was certainly the target… I said to him… remember everything you give out to others comes back to you doubled!!! I left and went over to Kelly Green and got my 14 bales… when they started to load them… we saw that whoever closed my trunk purposely pulled the heavy netting out of the truck so it would drag on the street as I drove.
This was no way to treat anyone… expecially a returning customer!!!
