Public Storage

Very happy with the service I experienced at the Public Storage location at 3369 Canton Rd, Marietta. Our representative was Kira and she really did a great job explaining all the information about our storage unit. She showed us the unit, which was great because some places just tell you where to go and dont show you around. She was very polite and professional. Kira even came while we were placing things in our unit to see if we needed any assistance getting anything.
We are very pleased!

Half of EVERYTHING my family owns was destroyed by mold in their awful facility. In the Summer of 2013 I stored my household goods in the Public Storage on Canton Highway in Marietta while we shopped for a house. Labor Day weekend I went o retrieve everything to move into our new home and was stunned by the condition of our goods! Everything had mold on it. Mold of every variety. I was devastated to find family pictures, our kid’s toys, every thing, every thing EVERY THING destroyed by mold!
When I brought it to the attention of the lady at the counter, she was sympathetic, but not helpful. They would not make any efforts to salvage our possessions. They only hid behind their contract and said we should have bought insurance. One would expect a storage facility to keep their units dry. That is a BASIC requirement. That is why people pay money to a storage facility. I would have been no worse off putting a tarp over my stuff in my Mom’s back yard!
I complained up the corporate ladder. But nobody cared a bit. No attempts to help salvage what could be saved, no apologies, no assistance in replacing every thing that we lost.
My wife and I spent several months hauling all our stuff out on the driveway, wiping them down with vinegar, bleach and mold killing agent. Our new neighbors must have thought we were crazy. We made several trips to the dump with irreplaceable items from our childhoods, family heirlooms, Army keepsakes, most of our clothes, our children’s toys — just everything. It was a nightmare!
Public Storage is an incompetent, uncaring corporation. I would not trust them to safeguard my trash.
