I can’t give this Publix a five-star review like the other ones I frequent. And that’s because its constantly out of items I stop in for. And when I finally decided to stop being lazy — and walked my self over to the customer service desk for a rain check — the associate refused. She said she could only write rain checks for items that were on sale. And this item wasn’t ‘on sale’ — it was ‘on special.’ When I pushed — she tried to explain that the item has to be in the flyer. I insisted on speaking to a manager. After much eye rolling and sighing — she turned around and walked 2 feet to get the manager from office immediately behind her. I’m pretty sure he was privy to the entire exchange. No apology — no acknowledgement that she was incorrect. He simply advised her to write the rain check.

I love Publix and all Publix deli and bakery but, I have a complaint. Today I ordered a sandwich(Publix sandwiches are one of my favorite lunch time go-tos) and the girl who helped me acted lost as if she had never made a sandwich. I had my 4 month old with me so I expect a sandwich to take a few minutes to make but not nearly 10 minutes to make to the point of him getting fussy. She was very slow but nice and new to the deli. If she would have had proper training then there would have been no issues but she was even having to look around the deli station to find the proper ingredients. Publix can do better!!!

The pharmacy at this Publix location is very busy, but the staff endeavors to deliver above average customer service. As for the rest of the store, the food prices are outrageous, and you can do much better at Kroger. For example, Publix sells their produce by the pound, whereas Kroger sells it by the piece. Publix rips off their customers, when they sell produce by the pound. A gallon of milk at Publix is always about one dollar higher than other area grocery stores. I have no idea why people buy food at Publix, when virtually all other area grocery stores sell the same items for far less.

I always shop at this Publix and always get great service, but I wanted to make a comment on this particular day. i went to Publix on the day before thanksgiving at 3PM to pick up all the stuff that I forgot. That place was packed with staff stocking and helping customers. I had people coming up to me helping me find items and recommending others. Then when I went to check out I didn’t even have to wait in line and the store was jammed. They even had enough staff on to help everyone out to their cars with their groceries. Wow, that is a good manager! Great job guys!
