Ate inside, server was Sabrina. I went there for the soup, which Google directed me to the closest Soup place. Well, only two soups on the menu this day — French onion, and, Tomato basil. As I have hypertension, I asked which of the soups have the least sodium(hoping the container or box could just get a look at). When asked, Sabrina said the box was already thrown out and there was no other containers to look at in storage. I figure onion has less salt than tomato but I just wasn’t in the mood for any onion soup, especially since I decided to add a half roast beef sandwich with it(which comes with au jus/bouillon, just like onion soup). The soup and sandwich was good however, halfway through I sense a sewer /bathroom odor. I don’t know what it was, but it really soured my dine-in experience. :( PS: as usual, I washed my hands before eating, and when I was in the restroom, it didn’t even smell as bad as that latter odor did!

This location is under new management so it could be hit or miss sometimes. I’ve had more hits than misses. Food is good & comes out hot and ready in no time. If you come later in the afternoon/after lunch crowd, don’t be surprised to see that your cashier will also be your cook. I guess they work a skeleton shift at that point. Well the lady that served me was very courteous. She even asked me if I wanted more jalapeños on my pizza… No thanks… my mouth was burning up enough!

The lady was so rude and seemed so annoyed we walked in that we just turned around and walked out.

Staff is very rude. I’ve never felt so judged ordering a soup and sandwich before. Won’t be going back. Try Doc Greens up the road instead

Worst experience I have ever had at a deli. The dining room is very dirty and there seems to be no one who works there and cares about it. The staff seem annoyed that you are even there and there is little effort to make you feel comfortable. If you take too long to order they shoot you a look. When we finally got our sandwiches after a long wait, we were not impressed with the quality. Lettuce was turning as well as the tomato. And don’t get me started on the bread. We ended up not finishing the sandwiches and leaving. Avoid.

This place is DISGUSTING. Filthy inside and worst service I have ever witnessed. Needs new ownership ASAP because this place is a DUMP.

Gave it a try for tax day, which offered a free small original sandwich with the purchase of a drink and chips. I loved that I got a free small sandwich for free, but the drink and chips seemed a little on the pricey side at $ 3+. The sandwich itself had a great flavor to it, with smoked ham, salami, several types of cheeses, some additional toppings, in addition to their signature dressing on a toasted sourdough bun. The ingredients went together very nicely.

I’ve been going to this restaurant ever since I was a kid but today was my first time going to the location in Marietta Georgia. I ordered a small smoked turkey sandwich on sourdough and the bread was really hard and dry. When I bit into the sandwich, shredded lettuce fell everywhere because they put so much on the sandwich. Also, when I first walked into the restaurant it was very bland and I’m not used to it looking bland and boring in all the other locations I’ve been to. I just feel like they need to do a little better, even though the staff was nice, the quality of the food and atmosphere was not so good. This was my first and last time going to that location.

Service has continued to worsen. Latest trip will be my last trip after discovering a dead roach in my basket. Employee was embarrassed when I returned it, but didn’t offer anything in return, such as a refund.

Funny name… serious sandwich. You bet the Orignal is something serious. They even give you a free one on your birthday when you sign up for their emails. I cashed in my freebie last Friday at this location. The service was friendly and quick. A guy from the back even came out and sang happy birthday! I have and will always be a fan. I just wish they had more locations.

Three times I been to this location and found slime and other matter in their ice. Wouldn’t recommend getting any of it. Sandwiches are fine.

Pretty good service — nice employees, very quick and efficient. The food was pretty good as well, and although it’s not ideal, I got some studying done in one of the back tables by using the free wifi from a nearby business.

The manager at this location is really friendly and the employees are too. And I enjoy the turkey on sourdough. But the public has spoken — this location needs to focus more on cleanliness. And force the rental office to spray for bugs. Jeesh.

Schlotzsky’s has always been a nice place to get a sandwich. A real fresh sandwich… not those premade ones you can buy at the grocery store, not the almost flat bland ones you get at other sandwich shops! Schlotzsky’s has the sandwiches that puff up, that’s stuffed with slices of meat, lettuces, tomatoes, etc etc! I like that you are able to select the size, although who get’s the small size? Kids maybe? I always get the large on Rye bread(otherwise, known as chocolate aha because it looks so). I can never finish a whole one, and am glad they slice it in half, so I can take it to work or have it as a late/early snack the next day. They also have different tasting pizzas in a mini-me/personal size. The Thai one is quite spicy! I’ve always enjoyed their soups too, from my favourite New England Clam Chowder with Tobasco sauce to the Vegetable or Chili soups. I almost always get one when I’m there waiting. And almost always with a cold Root Beer too. Their Jalapeño chips are wonderful, I haven’t found another place that you can get them in larger bags… I agree with Joe T., not sure what’s going on with the remodel — I must have not gone to Schlotzsky’s for awhile, because the last time I went(maybe 3 months ago before December 2011), it was all that old-memorabilia photos/knick-knacks on the walls, and it was nice to look at while waiting for your sandwiches/pizza getting made. But the other day I walked in, and I wasn’t even sure I was in Schlotzsky’s! I had a double-take, the walls were all plain, everything was gone, even the painting on the wall and the colors! Now there was a big plastic banner hanging over the counter area, there was no more fridge for the drinks, no more soup scooping area, no more shelves for chips — I was so surprised at the drastic change. Schlotzsky’s managed to make itself bland! The menu design also changed alittle, the pricing was in different locations and I was confused, almost had a heart attack ordering sandwiches which I thought were $ 8.xx but that was with the meal(chips/drink), not just the sandwich itself(which is around $ 4.xx). I guess I was used to the older Schlotzsky’s I’ve been coming to for years, it was very welcoming lived-in-feeling before… now it’s kind of scary — like walking down an empty hallway! At least the sandwiches taste the same, taste great! Hope the décor changes back ;(Sometimes change isn’t always for the better. You’ll frighten your customer! As for service, it’s good and friendly at the counter. Never had a problem, always had the right orders in a timely manner and they always remember to stuff in alot of Schlotzsky’s branded napkins :)

I have lunch here every couple of weeks. It’s one of my «go to» spots. The sandwiches are of course great, made on really tasty, unique bread. Service is fine, my order has never once been screwed up in two years. The guy from New Orleans that makes the sandwiches is very funny too. I do have a problem with one thing: the«remodel.» okay, the place was a little cramped with that low wall in the middle of the floor, but now it just looks empty and plain. They really sapped all the(admittedly dated) character from the place, so it no longer feels homey. It’s so bad, I’m hoping they aren’t finished, because it really looks unfinished and undecorated. I’ll give them a few months to get it done.

This is a poor man’s Jason’s deli! Bottom 5 chicken wrap of all time. Overpaying for lunch with $ 1 menu portions. I may have to try this place one more time before giving the benefit of the doubt. Too disgusted to go on in writing for this review — the previous explains itself.

I have always been a fan of Schlotzky’s until I visited the Windy Hill location last night. I was craving the Schlotzky’s Original Sandwich last night layered with smoked ham, Genoa and cotto salamis, and melted cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses with black olives, red onion, lettuce, tomato, mustard and on a toasted bun; so I ventured up the road to the Windy Hill location of Schlotzky’s for one. That was my biggest mistake, I should have driven over to the one off Cobb Parkway instead. As I walked in the restaurant I noticed how dirty the dining room was and thought that maybe they had just finished dinner rush or something. Then as I approached the counter there were two ladies yappering away behind the counter, finally one turned around and asked«What do you want tonight?», that was kind of rude; she could have at least said it nicer like«How may I help you?». I guess I was a drain on their conversation and how dare I interrupt them! I proceeded to order the Original and asked if I could have it on a different bun and she snapped and said«It only comes on sourdough!». Ok, then give me the sourdough. While I waited on my sandwich to go I decided to use the restroom. The restroom was filthy! I was scared to wash my hands and I didn’t want to touch the knob on the sink. Anyway, after waiting for about 10 or 15 mins to get my sandwich I left with sandwich in hand wanting to get home to enjoy it’s deliciousness. I got home and opened the wrapper to find a sandwich that had been thrown together with haste and the bun was soggy as if they intentionally dropped it in the sink or something. I will not return to this location again!

Schlotzsky’s, would it kill you to put at least a little description of WHAT your sandwiches are on the menu? Except for the most obviously-named menu items, I’d have no idea what to expect when ordering 90% of the items on that small, yet overcrowded menu board of yours. Despite Schlotzsky’s having some of the better sandwiches out there(among the chains) I can’t give very many stars because of the menu sitatuion and the fact that it takes so long to actually get your food.

Good for a quick bite to eat during lunch. Sandwiches are solid with toasted bread and seating is conducive to people watching. Cashier was friendly and service quick.

Despite Schlotzsky’s Delis being a well known Sandwich company all over the world, my extremely obsessional love for«The Original» will not let me back down from this review. I am pretty sure that this place makes their bread from scratch, which adds definite sandwich points to any selection on the menu. It is also the only sandwich place that I am familiar with having olives as one of the main ingredients in their sandwich. This particular location has a hard time with the whole«service with a smile» concept, but they still manage to make the tasty sandwich delights with perfection.
